Which USCIS app do you use? There were several in the Play store but it didn't look like any of them were official government apps. Is there an advantage to using an app instead of just checking the status online?

In the Play store it's called USCIS Case Status. It's not an official government app, but it's legit-you can set it up to get push notifications when your case is updated, and you can also generate lists of receipt numbers and their current status. So I look at the 500 I-485 cases surrounding mine several days a week to see what kind of progress they're making. One thing to note is that at least with I-485s, once the status changes to "New Card Is Being Produced" the case disappears from the list. So you'll see cases up until they say "Approved" and then they're gone.

No it has not you are still fine :) ... You can call and push 1 and then 1 and 1 again and then it will tell you where your case is at if you which to know

Cool thanks, I'll try it. Is that the NBC National Customer Service Center at 1-800-375-5283?

Yes, we moved from NY to CO :)

    Thank you! That's hopeful.

Did you move to another state or within the same state?

    Hopefully, our cases move soon!

Different state, from NY to Maine. We moved only about 2 months after applying, did a walk in for biometrics in Maine.

Does anyone have experience or know someone with experience with moving while in AOS process?

I wonder whether the case processing slows down at all IF your case has never been transferred to the local field office (in my case, ours is still in NBC), or because they essentially kept the case where it was, the processing time doesn't shift much?

Also, I called Tier 2 officer recently, and he told me the processing time for AOS is within 6-10 months (mine is slightly over 6 months now), so until it hits 10 months mark - I have nothing to "worry" about :/

We moved while in process and submitted address change. Not sure if it slowed us down, but case hasn't been reviewed yet (status is "Fingerprint Fee Received") and we just hit the 6-month mark on 2/13. I don't know if the case was transferred or not.

Anybody else been approved recently? Or had their interview? Automated message says our case is still in Lee's Summit. Not sure whether we should do an infopass or something, or just wait it out.

In the 100 or so cases surrounding ours in the USCIS app, several were approved Monday and Tuesday, but none the rest of the week. We're over 6 months now so we could follow up, but I think it's just taking them longer to get through all the applications so I'm not worried yet - just impatient!

    Hi Everyone,

I need a sincere advice from everyone. I'm a citizen of United States and we have planned to visit Pakistan this February. My husband is green card holder from Pakistan. As of present situation, I'm confused whether it will impact on us or not. Though he is traveling with me and I'm gonna with him when entering back to the US.

    Thanks!

I agree with others advising you not to go right now. I was listening to NPR's call in show "Indivisible" last night, and a man called saying he is a US citizen of Pakistani descent and he and his wife were detained at a US airport this weekend for hours after returning from their honeymoon. He said no explanation was given, they were kept in a holding area and finally released just before their connecting flight took off. You can listen to it here: http://www.wnyc.org/shows/indivisible/ (it's the most recent episode, this guys calls in at around the 15 min. mark).

    Hi guys!

Still no updates for me. Stuck in "Fingerprint fee was received". On February 8th, I will be at the 6 months mark. Should I send a service request then?

I'm wondering the same. It'll be 6 months for us on Feb. 12th. We're thinking about doing Infopass. I don't think anything is wrong because there's still maybe 20% of I485s from our day that haven't been touched yet. But I'd like to know if ours is at the local office or not.

I can't believe this is taking so long... My whole family was so sad and upset because I couldn't visit for xmas and I promised them I would go in June for sure and now I'm not even sure if I should buy the tickets for June because seeing the latest comments, the interview could be scheduled in June...

I hate this process, I don't want to have to wait two years to see my family ?

If you havent received EAD/AP it's been over 90 days since you applied, you should call or schedule an infopass appt.

Guys! Who else is the same with me - not hearing anything after getting EAD Combo?

My priority date is August 19th, and it has been 4 months+ since my application. Even though I am in San Francisco, I still thought it would be earlier than this...... Am I going to have to wait til 6 months and send a Service Request...... :crying: Finger crossed some updates come soon...

Same here but a week earlier priority date. I looked at the app this morning and saw 2 cases near mine got issued an RFIE this morning. If after all this time we get asked for a new medical I'm going to be very frustrated :crying:

  9. I don't know specifically for DS-260, but when I had to fill in my passport info for an international flight it had similar wording "as it appears on your passport" and I panicked about leaving out my middle name. I did some research and found it didn't matter if you include your middle name or not, given and surnames were what needed to be there. I wouldn't cancel the interview over this, it's probably fine. I believe you can also correct it at the interview if needed.

  10. Hi Prenouveau, wondering what apps are u using that enables you to monitor the movements of others case status? Cos I am only using the ones USCIS provided with my case only.

I use the "Case Tracker" app for iPhone. In the search function you can pull up a range of 500 cases at a time. You can then filter the results so that you only see I-485 cases. There is an app for Android as well but I'm less familiar with it.

  11. It's been 4 months and my 485 is still stuck on fingerprint fees received and No RFE. Anyone in same situation? I really need an advice.. should I call them?

Same here. I've been watching the 500 cases surrounding mine in the app, and they are still chipping away at them, though 75% have seen some kind of action. They approved four I-485's within close range of mine just yesterday. I'm not going to bother calling yet. Based on what I've seen, most of the ones that still only say "fingerprint fee received" from early August are just getting approved without an interview. Not a guarantee but that seems to be the trend. Fingers crossed. I don't think calling will get you anywhere yet, there's nothing wrong, we are just at the bottom of the pile, unfortunately.

  12. There is always a few days between when NVC assigns your number and when the system allows you to schedule your interview. Usually it's a day or so after your status changes to "in transit" on ceac.state.gov. Have you checked the status there?

*ETA just saw you are CR1, not sure how it differs from K1. My comment above was as per my experience with K1.

  13. Does anybody know if Trump being elected could affect us? Or do you think we are safe because we are already on the process? I read that he wanted to stop green cards... I'm also on a same sex marriage, so I hope he doesn't overturn it cause he also said that...

He said during the primaries that he would halt issuance of new green cards. And who knows what he will do or what he will be allowed to do. I'm going to be a nervous wreck on Tuesday.
