mikeandkristina got a reaction from Fox087 in Traveling to Canada with Advance Parole
    Hi everyone,

My wife and i are traveling to Canada in a month with my advance parole/employment card. When we approach the US/Canada border, what document do i provide to the border officer? And then what document do i provide the border officer when we leave Canada? Document meaning Canadian passport or employment/AP card. Is there anything extra I should bring with me in case?

    Thank you!

    Mike

If you look up one of the doctors in Toronto.....(I can't remember his name, but he's at he St Clair Centre), he has a vaccine checklist on his website that you can take a look at. It has everything you need to know. Depending on when you get your medical done in Montreal, make sure you get your flu shot taken. There's a specific season for it, so if your medical falls outside of that season, then don't get it. Note: make sure you bring everything you receive from the medical with you to the USA when you move. A part of the I-485 application (green card), you have to get a form completed and signed by a civil surgeon. There's tons of posts on here detailing the best civil surgeons to go to in your area. They need all the details of your medical, including your vaccinations. You don't have to worry about the civil surgeon until after you get married and apply for your green card. So like i said, take a look at that vaccine checklist that I told you about. Once you do that, you'll be golden.

Impatience is not a characteristic for dealing with US immigration. Getting married won't speed up anything (it might even raise some red flags, who knows), and that you would waste all times and money you've spent so far.

That was a stupid answer. But the officer thought he was serious so he sent your fiancé home which was the right choice.
Never ever mess around with the officers at the airport. They are allowed to send you home.

    Hi all,
My fiancé and I had our interview this past Wednesday and we were approved! I just checked our status and we are at Administrative Processing. Should I be concerned or do all visas go through some sort of AP? I'm freaking out a little because we haven't received anything about missing documents or something being wrong.
    Thanks!

Congrats! We were in line with you as well (our interview was at 7:45). My fiancé and I were discussing who you were in the line while reading your review.
    We were also approved!
