Miss Accountant got a reaction from tu2008 in Expected time for Passport process
My husband and I both applied earlier this summer. I applied for a passport renewal and did not pay for any expedited services. Mine took about 6 weeks to arrive. My husband applied for a first time passport (just became a citizen). He paid for expedited processing as well as faster shipping, and his took about 3 weeks.

Miss Accountant got a reaction from Neonred in Proof of relationship for N-400
    Hello All,

We are getting ready to file for my husband's citizenship. He arrived on a K-1 in 2016 and received his green card in July 2017. I noticed by reading the forum that many people included proof of relationship (bank statements, leases, credit card statements etc.) with their application. As far as I can tell, the only proof of relationship required in the application is a marriage certificate; I don't see anywhere that they ask for more evidence. What's the purpose of including all the other support? Just in case the office wants to see it? I certainly don't mind putting it together if it could reduce the chance of an RFE, but I wanted to see if anyone has insights on it.

Also, how many years of support do you suggest including? Everything since the beginning of our marriage, or just paperwork from after we filed ROC last summer?

    Thank you!

I know that this is super frustrating, but the good thing is that your husband has only lost the card, he's still a permanent resident with all the benefits that that entails. So he can still work and travel just like any other permanent resident, he will just use the stamp in his passport rather than the green card itself. Honestly the worst part of the situation is having to pay the ridiculous fee for the new card lol

We lost my husband's card in late August of last year, and received the replacement in early April of this year, so about eight months in total.

Ok thanks, guys! I'll just add a note explaining that the exam was outside of flu season so the vaccination was not required and I'll hope for the best! Hopefully they will figure it out and not give us an RFE.

Miss Accountant got a reaction from enxhi96 in Where can one go on a green card?
    Hello,
I've been unable to find clear and recent articles or posts about the travel restrictions while on a green card, so hopefully someone here can help me.
My fiance just arrived here in a K-1 visa from Albania and we will be married soon and then will get his green card. I know that once he becomes a US citizen he will enjoy all the freedom of travel that I do, but will he have those freedoms while still on a green card? He has friends in England that he would like very much to visit, but it is difficult to get a tourist visa to England from Albania. I know that I can go there without even a visa as a USC. Will he have that right as well as a green card holder? And if not, do you think he will be more likely to be approved since he has a green card even though he has an Albanian passport?
    Thank you!
