Went to my Oath Ceremony yesterday at the Santa Clara USCIS Office. About 80 of us stood in the blazing sun in a circle and took the Oath at the same time. Wasn't how I imagined it would be when I stared this journey but it sure feels good to be at the end of it. :)

Congratulations, as I see yours was just approved! We were in the EXACT same boat as this - incredibly frustrating. We had our citizenship interview back in October, but they told us they had to wait for the I-751 to be approved...which it just was on Monday !
Was your N400 approved right at the same time? Our still says processing, so I'm not sure if I need to do something to get the other dept to look at it again? Hopefully it's not too much longer at this point!
Congrats again!
Woo, congrats to you as well. My N-400 was approved on the same day, yes. Then it went for a “quality check”. Now it’s updated to “you are in line for the Oath Ceremony”.
You could always send them a message and ask, but I bet you get an approval sooner rather than later now that I-751 is done. :)

At long last, my N-400 was approved today (along with my I-751). Waiting for a date to take the Oath. ^^

Finally, my I-751 and my N-400 have been approved. Woo!
Just waiting on a date to take the Oath. I'm never moving countries ever again. XD

Still no update. The myUSCIS site simply says “it is taking longer than usual to process your case. You do not need to do anything.”
This is hugely frustrating and neither the service center nor my local office will say anything other than the above. Not sure I’ve come across a case where citizenship was recommended but the concurrently adjudicated I-751 case dragged on for 5 months (so far) with no contact, no requests for more info, nothing.
And so we wait.

Combo interview for my I-751/N-400 was last October. Was recommended for approval for citizenship but still waiting on a formal decision. Guessing COVIID and the backlog have takes their toll. Still, would be nice to get to the finish line.
-
Still a whole lot of nothing on my N-400/I-751 petitions. Contacted the San Jose field office on Monday and got a terse email back saying “we are still reviewing your case. We will mail you our decision.”
-
Update on the approval of my combo interview: nada. Since 10/24 I’ve heard nothing from USCIS. myUSCIS doesn’t have any useful info - 2 months more waiting until the 4 month max wait time on a decision is reached.
Trying to buy a house and the underwriters on the mortgage are losing their minds that I can’t produce an unexpired green card or a US passport. My ADIT stamp confused them enough to get them off my back at least.

Hi, was anyone’s oath ceremony rescheduled for no reason? I just got a message saying that my oath ceremony was cancelled as requested, even though i never requested for it to be rescheduled. Thanks!
[Edit] Yup - well, interviews, not ceremonies. Twice for me during 2019 because of the pandemic. Probably the same now given the current state of affairs.
My local USCIS office is doing drive-thru ceremonies to keep the backlog low. Not sure if this is universal practice.

Do you have any update on your case?
Did they approve I751 at the time of interview or they gave you the letter that says your case is under review?
Also did your N400 approval had different A Number?
No update yet. Neither case was approved on the spot. I was told it may take up to 4 months, though the piece of paper I was given said my N-400 was recommended for approval.
I only have the one A number.

Had my combo interview on Friday. Took about an hour - the immigration officer whizzed through most of the I-751 content. I brought another inch of evidence, which she liked. Civics questions were all softball ones - like names of oceans, rivers and cities.
Was recommended for approval of the N-400 but was told it would take some time to review everything. In the interim, more waiting. Yay.
-
My interview is back on - Oct 23. Third time is the charm, I hope. Assuming it will be a combo I-751/N-400 affair like they originally planned to do before COVID hit.

I sent my N-400 on 8/27/19
The check was cashed on 9/04/19
Biometrics done on 10/25/19
N400 interview was scheduled for 4/02/20 in NYC
Everything shutdown due to CoVid in April.
Still awaiting for the rescheduled interview date. 🤞
Similar story here - my interview was cancelled twice, last one was scheduled for Apr 14. Tier II gave me an estimate of sometime next June. myUSCIS still says the estimated time to completion is April 2020. Hmm, nope! XD
-
Still no word on rescheduling my oath but I know my local office is backed up to heck. They did give me an ADIT stamp in my passport at least so I can prove my status and leave the country/come back without issue.
Patience, I suppose, is once again required.
-
Congrats, Suze1. That’s great news. ^^
Still waiting for any progress on my I-751 and N-400 cases. I was able to get an ADIT stamp in my passport so I can prove my status and - even more important - leave the country and get back in again. My extension letter ran out in May.
-
My N-400 interview has been cancelled twice. I’m now undocumented but USCIS told me not to worry about it - unless I have to leave the country or change jobs. >.>

It is FINISHED!! Oath ceremony complete. Husband was in and out in 15 mins. They must where a mask and no visitors can go in. He said they did 4 people at a time for the oath to practice social distancing. His appointment was at 2:00. There was also another ceremony that took place at 1:00.
Congratulations to all of you who are becoming citizens!!Congrats.

Yes, I have that. That’s good to know that a tier 2 can do it, so I don’t need to wait another 5 days.
My 18 months extension is up. Tier II told me not to worry - I was still a permanent resident and I would not accrue unlawful presence so long as my I-751 (and N-400) petitions are pending.
Just, don’t leave the country or change jobs!

Got an email from the San Jose field office saying they had received my I-751 packet. N-400 interview has been re-scheduled for Apr 13.
So.. close..

They probably canceled it because your ROC file wasn't there in time....someone mucked up somewhere.
That was my guess. Cutting it pretty close - my 18 months is almost up. Gonna need an I-551 stamp unless they get a move on.
-
I was supposed to have my citizenship interview last Tuesday, but USCIS cancelled "as per my request". Which I assuredly did not. When I called to ask them what was going on, they said they didn't know who cancelled the appointment. Great.
Wednesday, I get an email saying my I-751 has magically arrived in Santa Clara, CA (where my N-400 is being processed) though the case status still says it is in Lee's Summit, MO. At least now my cases are in the same office. Perhaps.. soon.. maybe

Finally!!!! So even though they transferred the case, it was for faster processing, as per the letter. Someone mentioned they maybe wanted to do an interview - not the case. 751 approved, no RFE! The extension letter is good until May but hopefully his naturalization ceremony will be scheduled soon and he’ll be FINISHED with all of this by then!😁
What a great way to celebrate as we’re headed to Cartagena for my birthday this week!!
Prayers that all of you still waiting will receive good news soon!🙏🏽
Congrats. ^)^

Welp, it took me five months, but I think I made a mistake on my N-400.
“How many times has your current spouse been married (including annulled marriages, marriages to other people, and marriages to the same person)? If your current spouse has been married before, provide the following information about your current spouse's prior spouse.”
I said zero. I starting to think I should have said one (including my current marriage). I've successfully completed biometrics and my case estimate is April 2020 - that hasn't changed since I filed my case. Should I poke the bear and write a letter to amend my application or leave it be? Most of me leans towards leaving it be and, if asked, explain that I made a genuine mistake. >.<

The delays have been huge of late. Keep bothering them with service requests - it worked for me. Took the Oath yesterday!
