    At some point David will apply for the N400.  For now we are taking a break from all of this.  As everyone here knows it is as frustrating a process as there is.  We really hope everyone here has their cards in hand soon!

    Hi All:  It looks like we were the next filers to get lucky.  Received the text this morning that there was an update on our case, and I went to the app and saw "New Card Being Produced."  We were very excited to just about have this journey end, but as mentioned also very lucky, as I know many are still waiting, and this journey is long.  I hope our approval means good things for the rest.  We were Vermont filers, and stayed in Vermont. No RFE. No Interview.

    Good Luck to everyone!

    I don't think any one thing will determine the decision. It is the full review of everything.  Joint bank accounts help I am sure as it shows a commingling of funds and that is one type of proof, but if you other proofs other than that, they can still a pattern that you are living your lives together as a bona fide couple.

    Hi All: We are finally able to file our I-751.  We have been diligently preparing for this moment, so we have everything together to send.  Here is what we plan to send:

    2. Copy (Front/Back) of David's Permanent Resident Card
    3. Copy of Both of our Driver's Licenses with same address
    4. Copy of our Deed to our home purchased in 2016 as joint tenants w/right of survivorship along with current tax bills showing both names (Mortgage is in my name only due to income qualifications)
    5. Signed Lease from Date David Moved here until Moving into our house
    6. Copy of Car Title, Bill of Sale, Loan Information, and Insurance bills showing joint ownership and liability
    7. Declaration of Support from My Mother and Our Friend who has been staying in our house the last 6 months detailing that we are creating a life together and observation of that
    8. Copies of our Wills and HealthCare Proxys
    9. Copy of Insurance Cards showing both names, Tax Forms showing paid since he moved here, and an active status screen shot
    10. Tax Returns for 2016, 2015 (have not yet filed 2017)

    12. Photos with family friends from 2017, 2016, 2015 (from marriage forward)

    15. Pictures & Proof of Trip from 2016 Christmas when we visited his family in Mexico
    16. Statements from Joint Bank Account (every three months) Opened June 2016.  (Is this an issue as we were married October 2015 - We didnt add him to account, but opened his own account and then combined)
    17. Statements from Joint Credit Card Opened August 2016.

    I think that is it.  Does that look like a strong package of proof?  I know it seems like its a year wait for this process to happen, so another waiting period. Glad to have our fellow VJ friends here for support.

    Hi -
    1. I sent a Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate. I was told you can send a copy, but that sometimes that creates an RFE, so safer to just send the certified copy. When I got it, I just paid for like 3 copies so I would always have some.
    2. I sent copies of tax returns (I did not send actual transcripts), so I think copies of transcripts would be fine.
    3. For the I-864, I did not send bank statements. I just sent the I-864, w/ copy of birth certificate, copy of passport for citizenship proof and copies of 3 years of tax returns.
    For reference, here is what I sent: (note, I did not apply for AP, so you would add that I-131 if you want AP)
    1. Form G-1145;
    2. Check in the amount of $1,070.00 for filing fees;
    3. Form I-485 w/ 2 Passport Photos;
    4. Form I-765 w/ 2 Passport Photos;
    5. Form G-325 A;
    6. Copy of Notice of Action of Approval of I-129F Petition;
    7. Copy of Birth Certificate w/Translation of Applicant;
    8. Copy of I-94;
    9. Certified Copy of Marriage Certificate;
    10. Copy of K-1 Visa Page of Passport of Applicant;
    11. Copy of Full Passport of Applicant;
    12. Form I-693 in Sealed Envelope (Vaccination Portion); and
    13. Form I-864 Affidavit of Support by Jeffrey E. Brewster w/ Birth Certificate and Passport as proof of citizenship & Past 3 Years Tax Returns.
    Hope this helps!

    Good Luck! Hopefully you get your approval in the next day or so once they have the new medical info (that says the same thing as the previous one! Will be thinking of you!

    My case was also sent to Newark. Seems like many of these were, which is also a sign you will not need an interview. We received an RFE on 5/27/16, regarding I-693 form (that ultimately was in error) but we sent response in 5/31/16, and then were approved 6/2/2016. So hopefully if you sent in RFE response and it is correct, you will get a quick approval. After approval, we had the card in 1 week. Good Luck!

    Thanks for the congratulations. I still want David to have that physical card before celebrating fully though! Ha Ha.
    I originally sent only part of the I-693 that was required (and did not send pages 5,6,7,8 which are the medical exam portions.) My RFE did request those pages, however, even though they had the medical in my file. So it could just be an error in review. As you saw above, my response was basically saying their RFE was incorrect, however I did send the "blank" pages, since they specifically requested in the RFE. Maybe it is just a checklist that they look for every page, even if blank. So I would get your vaccinations completed, but still send all the pages even blank, with the same instructions info I sent etc.
    It still amazes me that for as many K-1's as are completed by USCIS, a reviewer could have missed that on our file and sent the RFE. It seems pretty basic, but as I am learning, nothing is basic in this process!
    Hope it gets fixed for you soon!

    I don't think you can use a P.O. Box. But the post office are pretty good at forwarding mail if you move. We've had to use the service before now.
    Congrats Jeffrey&David!!

    I would use your current address to keep things streamlined and matching previous documents. If you move during the process, you are required to update your address with USCIS (as well as an I-864 Supporter) anyways. So they will have a new address for you in their system that way. Also, you can forward your mail through the US Post Office to the changed address, in case anything was caught in between.
    Good Luck! My husbands green card was mailed today, so our process is almost complete for the AOS!
