    Hello - I just checked status for my wife removal of condition .. it says "

    Fingerprint Review Was Completed

    As of September 18, 2019, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence

     

    But she never got a biometric appointment.. does it mean she does not need to do fingerprinting?

    AOS Application Question

    in Adjustment of Status (Green Card) from K1 and K3 Family Based Visas

    Hello all, Just three questions - Please let me know -

    1. We are submitting our AOS Application - My fiancé POE on 7/6/2016 and got married on 8/27/2016 - will this delay in submission of AOS has any negative impact on our case?

    2. How long AOS process on average takes?

    3. I am sending - 485, 131, 765, 1145, copy of marriage license, bank stmt, joined tax return for 2016, copy of lease, our child birth certificate, 2 copies of recent photo - Any thing else you suggest we might add?

    NAME CHANGE - PLEASE HELP

    After my wife came here on K1 - I had her apply SSN with maiden name and then after marriage - I went back to SSN office to change her name officially b4 submitting AOS app - But We were told by the folks in ssn office that we will have to notify DHS first of our marriage - before they can change her name.. So My question is

    1. How do we notify DHS of our marriage?

    2. Is it better idea to submit AOS app without changing name? or change name first then submit AOS?

    Please help ....

    Friends - Salaam. Alhamdulillah - My Fiancé received call to pick her passport yesterday and we received our visa. Visa is in hand and Ticket is confirmed... Thanks so much for all your help .. This was a real test on our patience and depth of our relationship at times... I Pray to Allah for everyone who is still going through this process - May Allah make your process easier and short and everyone receives their visa soon. Please make dua for us...

    I'm confused about my visa issue. They update a Status on CEAC on 19 april stated that my visa is in final process and with in 10 working if i will not get it then i will contact consular office..

    I mail them to ask about this status and they replied me back this ..

    Our record indicates that your application in this fiance visa case is still pending under administrative processing. Unfortunately, it is not possible for us to predict how long this processing may take. Once this is done we will contact you.

    Please can anyone help me what does it mean?? I'm really confused

    Ramsha - Good evening. What is the status of your visa case ... ? Have you received it yet? My fiancé had her interview on may 31st and she was told by CO she was approved and she will receive her visa in 10 days ... then on may 31st case creation date changed right after interview and changed from immigrant visa to non immigrant visa.. Status went to Ready..no status update until I sent an email the case status changed to AP on June 13th and since then nothing.. I sent another email to consular office asking about my fiancé visa and I received an email from them today saying its still in final review/process and if don't hear anything in 2 weeks - contact them,,,,anyone any input...

    Well after being in AP for the last 3 months finally my case changed to non Immigrant visa application on Tuesday and yesterday it said issued on ceac and hopefully it will be ready for me to pick it up tommorow In sha Allah ( God Willing)

    Usman - Salaam. When you had your interview - di they give you 221g - or they just said approved but later they put you in AP? Can you share your time line please - that is a crucial information for all of who are going through this process please.

    Yes - As a matter of fact I did and I received response again same what I received 2 weeks ago... even though it is showing AP .. they did not mention about AP in their response or stated for more investigation or extended timeline....I asked for the status and this is what I received...

    Our record indicates that this case is in its final processing/review. Please feel free to check back with our office after 2 weeks.

    Ashif it is normal to go from ready to AP before they issue the visa. They have to print the visa and put it in the passport. Also most of the paperwork you two gave the embassy has to be put in the visa package to be carried by her to American immigration at the airport. I hear they also do a final and quick background check. All this takes a little time because they are also working other cases. Congratulations and please come back and let us know when the visa is issued.

    Carolynhotstuff - A quick background check on the applicant or petitioner? or both? ---
