It looks like CSC is about to overtake us on K1 adjudications. They have had approvals this week on a couple of petitions that were sent on 5/21. If we ignore the recent VSC approval of the single June petition (Luva & The Skinny Viking), our most recent approvals were sent on 5/22 (Nora & Ryan 9/27 NOA2 and Priscilla & Michael 9/17 NOA2).
CSC (including TSC & NSC) has approved 14 K1's this week so far. VSC has had 0 this week and 1 for the entire month.
Interestingly on the Removing Conditions forum, someone has been transferred from VSC to CSC. They do say they are from Oceanside, I assume that's California, so maybe it's a mislisting.

Green Card was recieved yesterday in the mail. The welcome letter arrived a few days before.
Thanks to all at VJ who have helped us get this far in the process. Time to move over to the lifting of conditions forums Hope everybody here continues to have a smooth and wonderful journey.
See you all soon
Fiona & Andrew
Congragulations!!! That's very good news!

You can leave the section out in case you are describing your residneces year by year (e.g. 2001 to 2003 123 street etc.) - and also if your residence remained the same then technically you are correct in not mentioning a long trip - if they ask you then you can elaborate. By the way I dont know where lisann saw the requirement to send in every page of the passport - its not true for all consulates - maybe it just applies to the US consulate in UK. Good Luck
You're right! You only have to send a copy of each of your passport photos in place of your birth certificate, if it isn't available.

PS - just realised i dont have to send my form in with the pack for the 129f, am i right in thinking this dosent have to go in the first pack?
I'm not sure about the 9 months, but the four G325a's definitely have to be in with K-1 package. By the way your passport will show how long you were outside the country and you will need to make photo copies of EVERY page (even the blank ones) of your passport to send in with the K-1 package. Best wishes to you!

My heart goes out to all of you. We did this last year with the whole IMBRA thing and didn't have the delays you all are experiencing, this is really crazy!!!! USCIS's site has this article about receipt delays and while I know that isn't the problem here, it did give some insight as to where they are putting priority, even pulling workers to get this work done.
Here's the site:
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD
One of the questions there is:
Q : Is USCIS prioritizing certain application(s) during the receipting process?
Yes. The Application to Adjust Status (I-485) will have first priority because USCIS needs to ensure that these applications are receipted in a timeframe that would allow processing of an application for an Employment Authorization Document (EAD) within 90 days of filing as mandated by law [8 CFR 247a.13(d)]. Our second priority will be to receipt the Application for Naturalization (N-400) so that we can minimize any delays in obtaining citizenship.
Another question:
Q : How is USCIS planning to address this receipting delay?
USCIS is realigning its resources to eliminate the receipt delay as quickly as possible. This effort includes increasing the number of contract employees, as well as requiring significant mandatory overtime and shift work. USCIS also has temporarily detailed Government staff to centers that have been affected the most by the large influx of cases.
Of course they want everyones money, so getting the envelopes opened and getting those checks cashed will be a priority. Their receipting update is found at:
http://www.uscis.gov/portal/site/uscis/men...00045f3d6a1RCRD
It partially says:
As of September 28, 2007, USCIS has completed initial data entry and issued receipt notices for applications and petitions received on or before the dates indicated:

I have all of those things in a copy package but I am planning on being there for the interview and just plan on taking them with me. She did have her police report done 4 months ago when we started all of this. Do you think they will be good by the interview time in late Dec./Nov.? She is going to get more passport style photo as well. Thanks for the help.
I believe the police report is good for only 6 months, so it will depend when your fiance has the interview.
-
We received our NOa2 last week and wanted to know if their was anything we could do while we were waiting for the infamous packet #3 & #4? Thanks. I appreciate the help. She is getting all of the passport style photos, but is there anything else? Thanks again.
Congragulations!!! If you haven't already done it, order her police checks immediately. In the UK they took 6 weeks to get.

I've read in lots of topics already that if I have a co-sponser that makes enough money that I shouldn't have a problem getting my fiance's visa approved. However, I'd already sent my fiance an AOS with my info (and my co-sponsers) a month ago and now I've very unexpectedly had to quit my job (very, very, unethical employer and I couldn't stand it anymore). So my question is, do I need to send my fiance a new AOS (notarized) but leave it blank since I'm unemployed? Should I attach a statement saying I am in between jobs but will have a new job by the time I apply for Adjustment of Status?? I'm confused.
You're right that with a co-sponsor you will have no problem with getting your fiance's visa approved. I'm not sure about this but it sounds reasonable to me to attach a statement to your already notarized AOS with any changes you need to make.

You will probably not even need to wait two weeks to apply for your Social Security card. Just make sure that when you go to get your card your name is already in their system (all you have to do is ask), if it is not, then wait and come back another day. Because if it isn't in their computer yet, they need to send off for your immigration status and it will take too long. JFK got my fiancee's information in the system right away. Congragulations on K-1!!! Very exciting times for you!
-
Congragulations!!! What a nice surprise for you guys!
-
Our officer at the AOS interview didn't ask to see anything except the pictures we brought of our wedding and honeymoon. It was easy!
-
That's great news!!! Congragulations!
-
FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
thank you all for your reply.....i guess i have to be patient and just wait.
Our's was that same message from November 2006 till May 2007, no touches or nothing even after biometrics. My husband received his greencard in June 2007. So you're good! It's just a slow process and count your blessings that you get to wait this part out together.
-
Depending on POE you may get a temp EAD stamp to indicate the work authorized nature of the K-1, the K-1 is "work authorized" for the 90 days of the I-94 card, you can work, but most employers will want to see EAD.
K-1 should apply for EAD with or after applying for AOS, if you try applying for it before AOS, the EAD you will get will expire at the same time as the I-94.
If you apply for EAD with AOS, on or after July 30, the AOS fee will include EAD, and AP. ($1010) starting July 30.
You'll have to check it out further, but JFK airport was the only airport (point of entry) giving the EAD stamp. It's well worth the stopover to get that stamp, it will give you the ability to work right after getting your social security card and it will make it a lot easier to get your social security card right away.

I can really see no reason why they would bother giving you a skin test as you will test positive (a wasted $10). That is why eveyone outside the US has to have an xray to test for TB because they've had the shot already.
-
My husband had varicella as a child and he was told that he needed to get a blood test to prove that he in fact had had it. It was less expensive to get another varicella shot so he got it anyway.
My husband told them he had chickenpox and that was enough for them to mark it off. So I guess it depends on the doctor.

Congragulations!! It's such an exciting email to get! Hopefully now all the rest who have been waiting so long get good news too!

Here it is folks, finally after 18 months from NOA1 and 12 months from interview, FBI name check took about 16 months. No more USCIS for 2 years. Good luck to all who are waiting

Like KarenCee said if it's been past 91 days check into it. But it seems like the majority on here get their EAD within 90 days, so count out your 90 days and assume toward the end of them you'll get your card. USCIS's timelines don't seem to mean much.

i dont get it laura... isnt that the origional email they send when u first apply? or is that the next letter u get from us means green card approval? uve got me lost on that one.
my online status has always said since April 06 that my "interview has been descheduled". No updates to when we actually DID have an interview and nothing since then. This email just states its "pending" which is cool because at least I know someone changed something and therefore not lost completely.
Maybe they were even doing a little QA and found my message was "wrong" and simply updated it. Who knows? But we have seen a pattern of touches prior to greencard approval (we have also seen no touches prior to approval too). COuld be anything, or nothing. Was just a shock to have them "fix" it after a year.
We're holding good thoughts for you guys! At least they have your file in hand doing something with it!
-
Pah,
I was all excited to get a email from CRIS telling my card had been ordered, but its just my ead renewal. Still better than deportation. Does it actually take 30 days to get the card or is that just them covering themselves?
-Andrew
Just from our experience, they sent the card immediately when the card was ordered and we received it in just a couple days. Congragulations! Funny how nice it is to be able to work again.
-
Congratulations lisanne!!! I am so happy for you. It means that they must be working on November filers now. So, there's hope for me at least. Oh, and btw, I just noticed from your timeline that we got married on the same day as you guys, October 28th.
Great day, October 28! Last I checked they were working on filers up to November 13, so yours must be really soon too! We'll hold good thoughts for you!

Is it worth any hope that our file was touched last Friday and today?
