    Nov 19, 2019: Interview - Approved!
I’m now just waiting for my oath taking ceremony letter. My completion date was December 2019 but it now changed to February 2020.

The interview took about 15 minutes. I correctly answered 6 questions so he didn’t ask me the rest for the civics test. Brought a ton of documents but he only looked at my Green Card, Interview Letter, and State ID. He then reviewed the rest of my application with me, made sure everything is accurate and nothing changed. We also reviewed what will show up on my naturalization certificate. Everyone was nice and helpful.

I will update the spreadsheet once I get the letter.

I'm a little confused, people who filed online, how did you guys get your NOA? Regular mail? And also your biometrics appointment letter? I'm not sure what to expect..

Digital copies of the NOA and biometrics appointment letter show up under our documents tab a few days after it shows that they've received it and that the appointment has been scheduled. A few days/weeks later, we receive the physical copy through regular mail.

  3. My timeline:

    July 2016 -Married US Citizen

Aug 2019- Applied for I751 (Nebraska - Transferred from California)

    July 2019- Biometrics

Aug 2019- Eligible for N400 and filed online.

I have been a silent spectator here. I am a Vermont filer. Filed on August 08, NOA on August 13. Got approved today. Status showing that Case Was Approved on August 01. First letters of my application EAC182205****.  No RFE, NO Transfer, No Interview.

My heartfelt thanks to all guys who have been posting here. It was very helpful. Appreciate your help to the community. It means a lot. Best wishes to all those who are waiting.

BTW, new website is still showing as case received. Hopefully they will update in next 2-3 days. I assume its normal? Anyone else has been in similar circumstance?

The My USCIS site does still show case received for me (It was approved 07/30). The Case Status Online seems to show the updated information, it's how I know it was approved and it just updated today to "Card was picked up by the USPS."

  5. Somehow, the system isn't letting me update my timeline here at VisaJourney.

I'm trying to put in my NOA date 10-19-18 (also tried the one written on the form 10-15-18).

    Here's the error:

"WARNING: There appears to be a mistake in your form!

One of the dates or entries you entered seems to be incorrect. Here are a few common reasons why:

Some dates may be entered incorrectly or out of order (ex: An NOA2 date before and NOA1 date).

Time between when a petition (ex: I-129F) was mailed to the USCIS and the NOA1 (Notice of Receipt) may be too long. NOA1s (the date on the form itself) should be within four weeks (max) of the date you originally sent the form to the USCIS.

Click the button below to return to the previous screen to fix the problem (problems will highlighted in red)."

I imagine it's because of the "Time between petition and NOA1" error since my dates are not within 4 weeks due to the delay. Does anyone know who to report this to? or how to fix it?

    Thanks!

I got a letter today in the mail about this service request. It essentially states that my NOA was returned as undeliverable by the USPS but they are resending one to my address. I don't know what happened with it since my address on file was correct when I called and I know I updated my address when I moved because I have a receipt number for that. Anyway, the letter states that I should receive my NOA within 10-14 business days. I'll let you know when I get it!

Received my NOA today!!! Here's my updated timeline:

    Received by Lockbox (CSC😞 08-10-18

Check was cashed (By Phoenix): 09-24-18

NOA: 10-19-18 (It says Nebraska Service Center)

    **Extra steps:***

**Called and had it re-sent: 10-10-18**

    **Received service request verification: 10-19-18**

I called USCIS today (10-10-18) since it has been over two weeks since my check was cashed. I was able to obtain a receipt number and attached is what it looks like when I checked the status. Apparently, my NOA was initially mailed out 09-21-18, and they did have the correct address, but somehow I never received it. Since it's been over 10 business days, the representative filed a service request for my NOA to be sent out again (I verified my address 500  times just to be sure 😂). He told me that if I don't receive it after 30 days to call them back and check with the ticket number he provided. My petition was apparently part of a delayed batch. So if you have not received your NOA and they have cashed your check a few weeks back, it might be worth calling them. I will give them a call after 3 weeks if I have not received it just so I can check on the status since my Green Card expires early November.

  9. California Service Center

    Shipped docs: 8/8/18

    They got the docs: 8/10/18

We submitted the following as proof:

    • About 15 photos of us and our families together - original
    • Joint Tax Return Transcript for 2016 & 2017 - original
    • Verification of Deposit for 2 checking accounts - original
    • Dental EOB showing shared dental insurance - copy
    • Proof of emergency contact - copy
    • Life Insurance Beneficiary Designation - copy
    • Credit card statements showing a joint account - copy
    • Lease agreement showing both names for 2017 & 2018 - copy

It isn't much but we believe that it's sufficient. We shall see!

  10. My SSN card does not have the "VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION" line. I'm came in on a K1 and is waiting for interview of my AOS I-485. I already have my EAD tho.

Is it okay that that line isn't showing in the card?

  11. Here's what happened:

    1. Entered the country with a K1 June 4

    2. Applied for SSN July 9 (It has been advised to wait for at least 2 weeks so it shows on their system)

    3. Apparently, there was a clerical error at DHS, I have two first names and they used my second first name as my middle name so I had to go through manual verification

    4. Went back a month later and the representative said he can't open my application because it's within 14 days before expiration of my I-94 (Even if we filed way before) and was told to go back when I get my EAD

    5. Got my EAD November 3 (The name was correct so we assumed it was corrected by the DHS)

    6. Called DHS as per SSA advice and the representative said that they have already responded to my initial request so SSA should be able to issue me a social

    7. Went back to SSA November 4 and was told that 'name error' or something was still showing on their end

    8. Representative then filed a new application (which she said shouldn't affect my initial one negatively) this time with my EAD as proof.

    9. She told me to call her back on Wednesday as this time it only has to go through Electronic Verification and not Manual again.

I'm really hoping I get it this Wednesday. :(:(:(
