  1. Ok, thank you, questions regarding the G-325a form though, you said wet ink being original, is it ok for me to type the answers in print it and sign it or should i do it all by hand? second, i cannot fit my companies full name and address on one line, what should i do in this case?

You can save date type into G325A Form but when you sign it, just make sure its original, some people advise to use BLUE pen so whoever will review it, it is easy to identify that's it's original. If your answer cannot fit on one line, just put it on separate sheet.

    Example:

Cjjackson01 (write your full name on the top of the sheet)

    G-325A, Biographic Information

Answer to Applicant's Employment last five years

    1. (Write all the details about your previous employment)

    2.

    3.

    4.

    5.

(Then, signed it and write the date on it)

    _________________ Date: ______________

    Cjjackson01

  2. ok so i just printed everything off, and started throwing together our package that way when we meet, the only thing we will need to do is include that evidence. This is what iv got.

    Cover letter- check

    I-129f completed- check

letters of intent- will do those when she arrives here to visit

copy of my birth cirtificate front and back- check

G-325a's for me and her, along with 1 passport photo for her and i attached to respective G-325a's

neither of us were ever married- need anything here?

letter stating how we originally met and our relationship evolved, summary of it, we met playing a video game, talked for several years, last december we started discussing being together and wanting to get married and be together. decided it would be best to meet once she turned 18- currently 17, her birthday in which is in april to meet and file our petition. and have been discussing future plans ever since.

parts of skype calls and whatsapp messages, as well as phone logs which show i call her almost everyday when i get home from work, sometimes several times a day we talk on the phone.

now when she visits, we will have her boarding passes and itineraries as well as hotel receipts and entry stamp, but we will be sending off the package while she is here, iv read sometimes the I-94 is not given to those visiting on the visa waiver program, and can be sought after by contacting the airline for this information? also, if we are sending it off while shes here the portion of the I-129f for the I-94 documents, if we fill that section out, we do not need to wait for her to go home and include an exit stamp correct? idk if the exit stamp is a big deal or not, but it would add time and we are trying to shave off as much time as possible hence wanting to file while shes here.

and then obviously our payment to uscis for our package, any advice or anything i might of missed? just want to double check, to be sure i have everything, as well as anything that might be a good idea to add. Thanks in advance.

You can find all the answers in the link below:

    http://www.visajourney.com/content/k1guide

Please note the following when you submit your packet especially your G325a because I have read based on VJ members here got RFE because of they only missed simple thing:

*One passport-type photo of the US Citizen. Write the full name of the US citizen on the back. Place in a plastic bag and label the bag photo.

*G325A should be sent with wet ink (original)

*If you live in the United States or its territories, make the check or money order payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security (not "USDHS" or "DHS").

You can print out your I-94 as per below link:

    https://i94.cbp.dhs.gov/I94/consent.html

And yes, you dont get an exit stamp on your passport once you leave the US. I went there last year and visited my fiance and friends. The airline reported you were onboard and left. They would not just let everyone leave without some reporting to immigration.

Before you send your packet, triple check again all the forms and make sure you read the instructions how to fill up all the forms as there were some questions that not applicable to you but you will have to answer "NA" or maybe just leave it as blank. You can download the instructions at USCIS website:

    FORM I-129F- https://www.uscis.gov/sites/default/files/files/form/i-129finstr.pdf

God Bless in your journey :)

  3. Hello

I am sorry if this is covered in an old post but I could not find anything.

I am a US citizen and my girlfriend is Thai. We met 5 months back in October 2015 - when I visited Thailand and we like each other a lot. We have been chatting and talking over the phone everyday since. We visited many places in Thailand together. She does not have a full time job in Thailand. She lives with her parents mostly and does part time work at some store.

So I wanted her to visit me for 2 weeks in US so that I can show her around and decide if we are both OK with being with each other. The US embassy in Bangkok denied her visa twice citing reason that she does not have strong ties with Thailand. Is this fair ? I never intend for her to break the law and wanted her to go back after her duration of stay.

In our paperwork for tourist visa first time she said I am her friend and got declined. Then second time she said boyfriend and that got declined too :(

So question is if I apply now for a K-1 Visa - will it get declined because her B-2 visa was declined ?

We are very stressed due to this. I feel they treated her unfairly. Is being from Thailand a factor ?

I want to see her more and I feel she needs to see me more before marrying. 5 month is not a long time. We do love each other. Is the K-1 Visa right for us ? I really appreciate any suggestion in this stressful period

The US Consul is very well trained & they can only approved tourist visa if the applicant has a STRONG TIES in their country (example: permanent full time job, getting a good salary, profession, relatives & family, if you own a house, etc. The applicant have to convince the Consul that she has a strong reason why she would be back in Thailand.

I got denied for 3 times when I applied a tourist visa because as Consul said, my ties are not enough to prove that Im coming back in my country. I tried again for the 4th times because I got promoted in my job, salary increased & I was enrolled to school too) then finally I got a 10 year multiple visa entry. Also, another tip, NEVER EVER LIE to the Consul because they are expert to know when the applicant is lying.

About your K1 visa plan, don't rush it if you are not 100% sure about it. My fiancé and I are in a long distance relationship for 2 years but we managed to see each other every year and to work out the relationship, compromise & communication is one of the ingredients :) We applied for K1 and I just got approved yesterday :) If you are planning to apply for K1 visa, you have to make sure that you have proof of bonafide relationship. Put in mind that it does not mean that the applicant will be denied for K1 application because of twice denied results for tourist visa, if you can prove to USCIS & US Consul your Fiancé relationship, then nothing to worry about :)

  4. Hi all! I just had a question about the I-134. I'm not sure what to fill in for question 11. Question 11 is:

"I intend/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3."

I've searched this up and some websites said to just mark "N/A" because you would not give your spouse an allowance. I would just like some clarification :) thanks.

Yes, it's not applicable. You can tickmark Do not intend to and write N/A but if your not comfortable with it, you can choose I intend to and write "K1 visa in progress".

  5. Hope you get the visa soon. I'm on day 9 after approval, and no visa yet. A friend of mine with dominican republic embassy as well is at a month. Waiting sucks

Yah I know the feelings of waiting.... That's why I will not give up anything I have here unless the visa is already in my hands. I hope, we both get our visa "the soonest" :) This K1 teaches us to be more patience as I was'nt patience like this before lol I hate waiting! But we had no choice but to wait ? Lets keep ourselves busy to plan the wedding so we will not notice the time :D I can't wait to be with my fiancé as we are in LDR for 2 years. Update us when you get your visa.

  6. Filled 129F petition approved feb 19,2016..called NVC this week case number n invoice number avail..my bf did not receive any letter from the embassy/immigration..so what should I do next??check online using case number it says immigrant visa ready..

Greenbaum's website can help you about it. Just explore & read the answer :)

"After you receive the text message that your case has been approved and it's now being forwarded to USEM Philippines for processing, it's not necessary to wait for this letter informing you that your case will be forwarded to USEM (United States Embassy Manila) as in most cases it never arrives, but go ahead and get your MNL# from NVC (details below). After receiving the MNL# you can begin to make your interview appointment. You will not need the hard copy for your medical or for the actual interview so don't be concerned but you will need it for AOS processing after you are married. More on that later."

  7. I thought it was nothing to worry about, but I drive myself crazy with anxiety about everything. I basically just needed someone to tell me it was okay. Thanks a bunch!

I can feel you. lol I always worry about everything.. I always need someone to tell me that "everything is fine!" Greenbaum is a great advicer in this forum :)

In Bahrain, when I have done my medical, I had to wait for one week for the result. Then the hospital forwarded it directly to US Embassy. Also, the same day they sent my medical examination result to US Embassy in Bahrain, I also got a copy of it. I have made 4 copies of my medical exam result & scanned it and saved it to my usb as it will be needed for AOS ;)

God Bless in your journey! I am sure your medical will be fine and everything will be a-OK ;)

  8. It's only possible is for some reason your interview was after your NOA2 date and visa was issued after without the embassy extending your NOA 2 date. Sometimes embassies forget or don't extend and will erroneously interview and subsequently issue out a visa after NOA 2 expiration. Rare and even rarer for a CBP to catch it.

They won't do it if you've already had your interview or if your interview has been scheduled before the expiration date.

To clarify the point sometimes embassies will erroneously give an interview after the NOA 2 expiration date....making the visa invalid. That's when CBP will turn you away for having an expired petition, just make sure your interview date is before the expiration date, or that they extend it out until your interview and you will have no issues.

Thanks for enlightening me :) It make sense now! If the visa got approved & issued before NOA2 expiration date means US Consul will not extend the validity of I-129F therefore the CBP officer has a right to deny you at the POE even if the K1 visa is still valid because it has been issued before your NOA2 expiry date. Gotcha! Many Thanks!

  9. Thank you :) Yes this is the topic I read. It made me worry, I contacted the consulate and they said the K1 visa is valid and that is what matters. I know that, but how do I convince an officer who doesn't know his job. Its really scary to think I could be send away even though I have a valid visa where I invested a lot of time and money on to get it.

Yeah! I do understand what you feel. Me, myself is also worrying about it because of several stories I have read online that they got denied at POE and sent back home. I can't imagine myself what would I feel if the Immigration officer in the US just couldnt let me in because of my NOA2 expiration date lapsed for example ? Once my visa is already in my hands, I have to resign and leave my nice job who pay me a great salary every month, I have to sell all my appliances & things, I have to leave my close friends and relatives.. It is NOT a JOKE and there is NO ROOM for "Sorry, we can't let u in because your petition is expired!" That's why I am going to travel before the expiration of my NOA2 :)

  10. Can you post a link of what you read?

Not sure if this is what he/she read:

    http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/567308-k1-denied-at-poe-however-visa-expires-02042016/

I asked the same question above to one of the member here in VJ, as Greenbaum's advised:

"99% of the time you will not have an issue as what was posted in that dicussion. You have until your visa expires to be on USA soil. If you do encounter a problem don't leave the airport till its has been resolved. Talk to a supervisor if needed"

My NOA2 expiration date will be on 21st May 2016. I actually planned to travel to the US in June but I do not want to take a risk to get denied at the POE so I will be travelling one week before my NOA2 expiration date. I will have my interview on Thursday and hopefully it will be approve :) If you can travel before the expiry date of your NOA2 will be less stress for you but bear in mind that US Consulate can revalidate the approved I-129F.

  11. So, we have received our hard copy of our NOA1 receipt notification, with our receipt number.

Just for clarification, now we wait until we receive either an RFE (Hopefully not!) or our NOA2 notification?

We do not need to contact USCIS until we receive an update, is this correct?

Yes! Just wait for NOA2. You can check your status as per below link:

    https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

Enter your USCIS receipt number from your NOA1 and you will see the status of your K1.

  12. Still waiting for another advice please!

I think it is fine to use another friend of contact in the US even if during your interview you have filled in different name & address of your friend. Once the visit visa was granted to you, I understand that the Consul who interviewed you that you have a STRONG TIES in your country that you will be coming back home and NOT because of the person who invited you to the US. Therefore, you can still choose another friend in the US to visit, and use their address & phone number.

I travelled to the US last year and visited another friends instead of visiting my friend who officially invited me during my tourist visa application because she was not available the time that I wanted to take my vacation in the US. If the Immigration Officer interview you and ask you about your travel, just look at them in their eyes and be confident in all your answers.

    Hope it helps! God Bless!

  13. Hi Everyone,

I just want to share my experienced at American Mission Hospital, Bahrain for my K1 Medical Examination. Below are the procedures:

My appointment was 10:20am but I came earlier around 9:45am and I finished everything at 11:55am.

    1. After receiving Packet 3 from US Embassy, I called AMH to book an appointment for my K1 Visa Medical.

    2. Prepare the following requirements:

    a. 4 pcs 2X2 recent photos (bring extra photos just in case they need more as the nurse asked for one more photo of mine)

    b. copy of passport or original passport

    c. original CPR (to validate your details/ information recorded in the hospital system)

    d. original vaccination record and copy of it to be submitted to the Doctor (it is a small yellow book from American Mission Hospital) - I have done my vaccinations before I get my Packet 3. The vaccinations needed for K1 are:

    1. MMR (measles, mumps, and rubella)

    2. DT adult (diphtheria and tetanus)

    3. Flu shot (currently not available in the hospital so I did not do it)

    4. Hepa A and Hepa B (not required but I did so)

    e. eyeglasses (if you have)

    f. BHD 66.000 (Medical Fees)

    g. I also brought the e-mail conversation with the US Consul regarding my packet 3 just in case they ask for it but they did not ask though

    h. K1 Medical Forms - DS2054, DS3030, DS3025, DS 3026 ( one week prior my medical examination, I went to AMH to get these forms and I filled it up and attached my photos on it)

    3. On the day of my medical examination, I have given my cpr to the reception and told her my appointment with the Doctor. There is only 2 doctors who are allowed to do the k1 medical examination. The Receptionist gave me some stickers which is written my name & other details on it and she asked me to go to the Internal Section Clinic which is near/opposite the AMH Pharmacy and handed over the stickers and the K1 medical forms to the nurse on duty.

    4. The nurse asked me to sign on each photos I have attached in the medical forms & once they reviewed the forms, the nurse sent me to the Doctor in charge for K1 Medical examination.

    5. The Doctor has done my Physical Examination, History, Stat Medical Report and after this I went back to the nurse and handed over her the medical forms.

    6. The nurse gave me 3 documents to be submitted to Laboratory for my Blood and Urine Test, and for X-Ray but first I PAID the BHD 66.000 to the cashier in order to proceed these test.

    7. After these test, I went back to the nurse and she has done my Eye Test and THAT's it! She said that the result will take between 3-4 days and they are the one who will submit it to US Embassy. Also, she told me that the hospital will call me to inform me once they sent it or before they send the DS K1 Medical Forms.

    8. After my medical, I have sent an e-mail to US Consul and informed her that all required documents for Packet 3 are ready and I have done my medical examination and after an hour the US Consul Specialist called me on phone and she booked my interview the next day at 11:00am.

Hope this helps to anyone out there who is currently processing their K1 or who will process their K1 medical in the future.

    God Bless everyone!

  14. Embassy received my medical today, after half an hour my visa is issued.????????? yay!!! ???

Hi Congratz to you :) It's strange that when US Consular contacted me when they received the approved I-129 from NVC, they want me to do my medical first before they can schedule my interview. My medical will be on sunday and i have completed all required documents.

How long was your medical at AMH? Did they give you a copy of your medical result afterwards?

  15. Hi All,

I have been out of action for a few days arranging stuff following NOA2 approval.

We now have police clearance from the countries I lived in so looking to book the medical. How do I get hold of the case number which is required by the doctors office?

You can call the NVC at 6033340700 after it has been at least 10 business days since you received your NOA2. They will be happy enough to give you the information. When I called they just asked me to confirm mine and the beneficiary's names and our birthdays. So have that information on hand. Like me you'll have an LND number which will then be followed by 3 numbers. The year which it was received so 2016, the number 500 + the day of the year which our case was received (as ours arrived on Feb. 18, it was the 49th day of the year so our second number was 549), and then the number in which our case arrived that day.

Secondly, a question on form I-134 Affidavit of Support Question number 11

Indicate the exact nature and duration of the contributions

My fiancé has ticked "I intend" box - to make specific contributions to the support of the person named in item 3 i.e. ME his fiancée

So how should he answer the question of the exact contributions he intends to make. Should it be specific amounts of money he intends to give me every month or if he just says I intend to provide food and accommodation fully funded for my future wife indefinitely that's ok?

What answers did you guys give for this?

You should take a peak at this - http://www.visajourney.com/examples/Form-I-134.pdf

As we're a K-1 visa, we don't have to indicate specific contributions.

    Thanks in advance.

I did follow Greenbaum's advised, the answer to that question should be N/A and tick "I do not intend" as its not applicable for K1 Visa but Greenbaum says if we are not comfortable we can tick the "I intend" then note "K1 visa process for permanent residence"

  16. Hi there. I'm confused right now on what to write on my G325A employment history. I'll give you a brief history and your input about it will be well appreciated. So here it goes:

My employment for the last five years: I've worked in the Philippines dated Feb 2012 until Aug 2013. I resigned from work there by July 2013 because my brother took me to Bahrain by Aug 2013 through visit visa to find work. So while in Bahrain from Aug 2013 until Oct 2013 I was under visit visa while the emoloyer/sponsor I found was arranging my working visa. After 2 months of being under visit visa by November 2013 My visit visa was transferred into working visa and I started working in Bahrain from Nov 2013 until Nov 2015. By Dec 2015 I came back to Philippines and got married to my american husband and presently I'm unemployed right now, but I'm arranging and preparing my documents for the spousal petition.

    My concern is :

    1. What should I write in the time when I was in Bahrain under visit visa for 2 months, should I write unemployed or what?

    2. Will being unemployed at present make an impact on the spousal petition? Will it matter?

Thanks for the input in advance.

Please note that when you get a police clearance in Bahrain, they will not consider the date of your visit visa arrival in Bahrain even if you started working these dates. When you are a tourist visa you cant work as it's illegal. Put the date as per your bahrain residence visa.
