Had my interview October 7th in NYC Federal Plaza. Waited for an hour and the initial interview was less than 5 mins. Interviewer asked for our birth certificates as well as our children’s , my passport and photo album. He flipped through the album in 1 second.
He asked me for my address? Followed by 5 questions to which they were all answered no. (Criminal activity)

He asked my husband where he works and if we have any new information to update besides the birth of our child. We both answered no and that was it.
We were sitting there like two dummies not knowing the interview was already over. Lol Then he said “that’s it” while getting out of his office. He was basically throwing us out. I didn’t even get a chance to put the documents back in my bag.
We never received an update. I had to call to find out the status and was told we were approved and to expect the notice in the mail.  Yay!!!!!!

Good Luck to all who are still waiting.

We have a mismatched issue as well. It not only took 2 visits to the SS office, but the time additionally to take for the DHS (I think, whichever is in the connection to correct things here) to resolve this too.

It took my husband 1 month to get it.

Honestly, this mismatch is causing so much trouble and takes long too...I hope it takes less than the 12weeks the said

Taking greater than 6 weeks.  We applied for my wife's on April 18th and got manual verification, even though she had been in the country greater than 2 weeks (4/7).  I called SSA today.  Course, they can't tell you anything about it over the phone due to they cannot look up based on reference numbers, but the lady told me according to their policy, it is taking up to 45 days (Government days, not weeks of course....).

That was exactly what the lady told us today that there is a mismatch and that's going to take 12weeks to be worked on...I don't understand at all

This is normal, per say. AP is undeterminate. Nobody knows when your visa will be ready. And if it takes a long time, it doesn't necessarily mean something is wrong. That is why they call AP a black hole.

Give it another week then after that start inquiring.

I also have similar issue, have been sitting on AP for almost 60days now...

Exactly same thing happened to me..just pray and stay positive they will issue it.Whats the reason for ur Ap?

I didn't attend the interview with my medical results because it wasn'tready at the time of interview, so I was given the 221g paper to drop it off at DHL including my passport which I did that s a same day after interview....since Feb 4, am yet to be issued

    Hello,

    I pray I find you well :)

My fiance had his K1 visa interview in Lagos on February 6th. After being approved, the lady told him his visa should be ready within a week (the white paper said 10 working days). Tomorrow will be 10 working days since his interview but no update for a week on CEAC website (status went from Ready (day after interview) --> Adm Proc (for 1 day) -> Application Received (still on that status for 1 week). I know there is no reason to be alarmed yet but I saw people just days before my fiance getting their passport back in Lagos after only 3-4 days. I am curious if others who interviewed in Lagos on or after Feb 6th already got their passport back.

    Thank you!

Any update? Am having similar issue here..

It means that you will not have a complete picture of the status of your path to visa issuance because the "immigrant" select is going to go "dark" with no updates because your visa is now being processed as a "non-immigrant" visa with immigration intent. Here is what is going to happen after the interview while checking your status on CEAC.

As a K1, when checking your case online at CEAC.state.gov you have to select "immigrant visa" as it is treated like as such even though it is a "non-immigrant visa".

Technically the K-1 is a non-immigrant visa but it is treated like an immigrant visa because of the AOS. It is kind of a ba$tard. Other non-immigrant visas do not usually end up with green cards!  The K-1 on its own is a single entry, short time limit visa that expires 90 days after POE. That is why it is a non-immigrant visa treated like an immigrant visa because of the immigrant intent.

If your having problems with the CEAC site timing out when looking up your case it's because the system is trying to cross reference the immigrant case number with the non immigrant AA number.  You select Non-Immigrant from the drop down menu and select the proper Embassy location. Then you enter the AA number from your DS-160 number and presto...a much quicker and consistent response. The output is the same but you no longer have the problem with the system timing out while doing the search...

    ____________________________________

Just about everyone goes through this process after their interview.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer he informed me of the steps that the Embassy takes to complete the processing of your visa:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days.

@Greenbaum thanks for the explanation but what of those their own changes to non-immigrant  "Application received" after the administrative process, what can you say about that
