    Biometrics taken on 07/25/2019

    Interview notice on 07/29/2019

    Interview scheduled on 09/03/2019

I live in Alaska, maybe thats why my process is faster than some of the other states. (OR maybe because I am a military spouse.)

Since English is not my first language, I have a lot to study for the test.

    Wish me luck! :)

Wow congratulations. That was sooo fast

Well for those who had zero idea they could submit online applications and submitted paper application like me, I got two NOAs: the first for me to confirm my information (DOB and address) are correct and to let them know if anything has changed and the second letter to create an account so I can check the status of my case and basically get constant updates. They included an access code which you need to create an account.

They received my application on June 5th (I mailed it June 3rd), I got the letter this week, I’m guessing Monday June 17th.

NOA 1 date June 7th and NOA 2 date June 11th.

Received NOA on the 21st of June for Biometrics Appointment scheduled for July 3rd at 9am...date of NOA 14June2019 🙏🏻😃

    Hi All,

We received and email today morning from the account on the new USCIS website that action has been taken on our case. After logging in the new website, it says “New Card Is Being Produced”. On the old website the case status still does not work for us. Our case was filed at VSC.

    Kind regards,

    ConiMoni

    Awesome news!!!!! 👏

Not sure if you already left, but I went on a cruise in the Caribbean (including Cozumel, Mexico) in December. My GC was expired and they had even taken it away when I got my 551 extension stamp in my passport. I travelled with the NOA

and my passport w/ stamp and had no problems in any port or on re-entry to US. Didn't even have to explain the situation to anyone. Hope that helps.

Thanks so much, yes it helps

It sounds extension letter would not be accepted by Mexico:

    https://consulmex.sre.gob.mx/sanfrancisco/index.php/visas-traveling-to-mexico

US Residents: If your United States visa stamped on your passport already expired but you have an official document proving your legal status in USA, you must apply for a Mexican visa (I-797 A Forms, Advance Parole Forms, I-20 OR DS-2019 Forms won’t be accepted to entering Mexico), unless you have a valid Visa for any of the countries listed above (Canada, Japan, United Kingdom or Schengen area).

    Thank you

If you have a passport from Latin America or any country that Mexico’ doesn’t require a visa it’s okay. You don’t need any “visa”. That rule is so weird and confusing. They don’t care where you live, they just need to know where you from and if said country doesn’t require visa then you’re good.

Edit: I saw the person asking is from Canada. You don’t need a silly visa. Your Canadian passport is enough. Keep the green card and letter for U.S customs.

Phewww thanks sooo much! Yes I’m Canadian! 🇨🇦

  10. Hey Guys, does anyone have any experience with/heard anything relating to going on a cruise to Mexico or Bahamas or outside U.S. with expired GC and the extension letter?

I’ve traveled outside U.S a few times in the last year with both docs and I had no issues at the border (airport), I don’t know if I’ll have a different experience at the port (boat).

  11. Hmm I don’t know if this is good or not.... the “We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you”. Anyway, I received the message below, did anyone else get something like this:

    Fingerprint Review Was Completed

As of March 29, 2019, we completed our review of your fingerprints and are working on your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number WAC182XXXXXX, at our location. We will let you know if we make a decision or need anything from you. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Check cashed- it’s still processing so I guess it was cashed yesterday (July 2nd), I’m out of town, won’t be able to tell the NOA date until when I return home on Thursday but I’m happy!!!!! 😃

    Yay!

    Ok for anyone who resubmits:

    1st mailed/submitted i751 packet May 15

    Received May 17

Packet returned due to missing copy of GC June 16th

    Resubmitted June 18th

    Received June 20th

    Check cashed July 3rd

NOA received July 5th dated June 29th

Don’t know if this matters or not but on the envelope I sent, I included “i751 Resubmission”

  13. Hi guys so yes my packet was returned, for one reason- I did not include a copy of my GC. Well it says i551. Now I have so many questions, which I’m hoping anyone can help me out with, thank you:

    1. Can I send the packet exactly how it is but with a copy of the front and back of my greencard? Or do I have to complete a new one?

    2. They stapled the cheque to the first page of the form, is this cheque now useless? I mean since there will be staple holes in it?

    3. Will I have to wait like I waited for basically one month before it’s processed again? Or will it be faster?

    My greencard expires August 14th.

    Thanks guys,
