I was not aware the Philippines now allowed divorce. I personally would not include your remittance as some may interpret that as you are buying a spouse, I financially supported my fiance' now wife through nursing school but I did not include my remittances in my application. It sounds like you two have a genuine relationship as you have seen her many times and spent a lot of time together.
-
I would spend the $20 that is the least of your expenses for a visa and the PSA document comes with a water mark and barcode, just m two cents, which I know is what it is worth.

I agree with previous posters, if (0 day would follow me and my fiancé the audience would die from boredom, which is perfectly fine by me bc the only drama I like is on the screen. As to commenting on peoples looks and behavior, that is why I follow this thread. You can see by my pic I am an average looking guy, but I am very confident in myself and my fiancé thinks I am a 10, so therefore I care nothing what random keyboard warriors think of my appearance or behavior and yes people do like to watch train wrecks ...soo on that note....All Aboard

honestly all the couples I have seen on 90 day fiancee are a joke. Melanie and Devar.. he planned on sending 9/10 dollars to his family in Jamaica!!! How can people even live in reality? That is going to go over well with your spouse.
His other two sisters were living in what appeared to be a mansion in Jamaica, now I do not know if they were renting but it is a mansion. I am still too shocked at both VJ and 90 day fiancee at how little conversation happens between the couples. My fiancé and I have covered everything....especially the top five topics that lead to divorce
Money, Family,Sex,Chores,Religion,Children....come on people these are the main culprits of divorce. Please cover them in detail before you get engaged or married. I just shake my damn head

Thanks for the quick response you two, I love the country and have visited five times, It is hard to see the abject poverty right in your face and as I look around and see soo much natural beauty and natural resources available to pull the country out of poverty, I too was a supporter and I like his can do attitude and maybe he's trying to leverage the South China Sea decision to get China to play nice, what his desire with Russia is , I have no idea. Weapons? If you state your not going to war, then that is an expense you do not need.
I will continue to monitor the situation closely. I am not leaving anything to chance, If a cat 4-5 Typhoon is tracking towards Cebu, I am flying her to safe ground as soon as I am aware. We lived through Yolanda and it was hell, her brother and Uncles homes lost their roofs, I could not get ahold of Jean for 72 hours not knowing if she was alive or dead. i could write a book with all the travails we have had. She ended up getting typhoid as well after the typhoon.
Good Luck to all

I am curious as to what the Filipino members of Vj feel about president Dutertes apparent disdain for America.
He has just made an important trip to China this week, one in which he believes he will be getting 13.1B in trade deals. He is also planning a trip to Russia to meet with Putin shortly as well. He has stated maybe he will require Americans to get a visa to visit the Philippines as Filipinos have to get one to visit the USA.
Does he not realize how many millions of dollars a year are sent from America to the Philippines? It is not the other way around. What country was there with food water, rice, medicine, housing and labor after Yolanda in 2013? Not mother Russia or China from what I read, The US helped as she always does. He stated the relationship has been one way for 50 years. Really????
My fiancé has her visa in hand and I can fly her here whenever we chose, however I am planning to go visit her Dec 2-21 to visit with her family and allow them and her time to celebrate before we go to America as it will be quite sometime before we go back to the Philippines.
Do you all feel it is safe to wait until Dec to get her? I mean he is making headlines almost daily. I just would appreciate everyones thoughts on this delicate matter.

The Philippines was just hit with a category 5 Super Typhoon this week, please keep these poor people in your thoughts and maybe why your visa is a little delayed.

One of the above posters touched on a very important question one of which me and my fiancé have discussed.
Does he/she want you to move there to their home country? My fiancés country is considered a developing nation by economic standards, yet their GOP has been 6-8 % the last five years compared to our anemic 1%. Yet she would prefer I move there to live with her, but I still have children to raise and she accepts and understands.
That to me atleast puts to sleep any motivation for a better life/ green card seeker. I am not judging because who amongst us does not want a better life for themselves or their family? I just think if the original poster can get into that level of conversation with her BF it could alleviate many doubts.
Good Luck

My fiancé interviewed sept 27 and they never asked for affidavit of support and I have read many other posters who had the same experience , of course everyones experience is different, good luck

I agree with a previous poster, please explain where physical violence ( slapping someone in the face) is ever appropriate? i know emotions get raw, but I have a friend who is a family atty and he told me it should end at first physical contact, because in his twenty years experience it only escalates from there. Take that advice for what it is worth OP.
-
My interview was last sept 27 and I still have Ready status on CEAC.

-
Had to wait 3 months after court decision before I got my finality.
-
I have also been through the annulment process, frustratingly long with more delays and excuses than I can possible recount, Typhoon Ruby, first judge a female, never renders positive results for annulments, when our atty learned of this we pulled our case, greased some palms and got an agreeable male judge. We have had family emergency with the judge, sick prosecutor, a hostile rally in front of the court, three week court vacation, the above mentioned typhoon and as I said on and on, we started Feb 2014 and certificate of finality issued in May 2016. Unless you know someone expect the annulment once you have filed to take a year and then another 3-4 months for the documents you need for the interview.
Good luck on your journey

thanks too much guys. We do not have a letter from the NVC for our MNL # , been over ten days. So I emailed her the page from NVC with our numbers, she was able to pass her medical by telling them the number, but she was harassed at every turn and all the " other" girls had there letter from the NVC, I have been getting, how shall we say it... Intense inquiry from my better half about how to get said letter, Ummm I can not make it happen, so I feel the screen shot should suffice as those numbers go with ours and ours alone case file.
-
nope , no kiddo coming.
-
Hello Vj peeps, we received our MNL number , but there are two entries with the exact same numbers starting with 2016 like everyone this tear, but the top one is 01 and the next is 02, anyone else have the same on CEAC website?
-
Hello fellow VJ peeps, when I look at the CEAC website I have two MNL numbers, they start with 2016 like all for this year and they are exactly the same numbers, but the top one is 01 and the bottom is 02. Anyone with the same situation?
Thanks in advance

I agree with some of the above posts, but it shocks me still how many VJ posters here have little if no money. This process is not cheap easy or fast.
OP you have been given a rare second chance. I myself would not pass it up and from the quote you sent earlier of your fiancé email, I wouldn't call her fluent in English and this case is not simple. You being there with the letters, notarized from your ex wives may get your love a visa. What has changed in the few weeks since her interview? Put yourself in the COs position.
I think you have some things to think about....this process is not cheap. I know everyone has limits , but a flight to Manila in two weeks wouldn't be one of mine, maybe see if she can reschedule latter to get things squared away with work leave and a cheaper flight
Good Luck
-
Sadly I do not have an answer , only an opinion and that is that she should be okay two days post, hope you guys have no issues and good luck, our interview is on Sept 27th....so quick once we received the MNL#
-
Congratulations to you both, now it gets fast

-
I was incorrect , that 12,720 p was for the visa fee, the medical is slightly cheaper, but has to be paid in cash, they do not accept credit cards.
I do believe it is a two day process if they do not have vaccination records. My fiancé arrived at 3 am on a thursday and she was third in line, the Fils love their Ques. I have read that thur and friday are the slowest ar Saint Lukes.
-
we just paid friday it was 12,720 p

I think having two letters signed and notarized, along with a court transcript describing the event would go a long way in your case, I have been following Vj for over a year and do not recall a case where they asked the beneficiary to come back, so it is a positive that she was not out right denied. I will say having attempted to get my fiancé a tourist visa three times, yes I am stubborn like that, all three times the COs kind of voice their own opinions, as your fiancees did. Jeans told her you will get to America , just wait for your fiancé visa. She was in Nursing school and I did not want to pull her out while we went through AOS. I do believe your story and your strong beliefs in your relationship. My journey has been over three years, many on VJ have much longer journeys. Get on your horse get those signed in blue ink and hopefully notarized letters from your exes and overnight them to your fiancee, yes it will cost a small fortune, but you need those papers in her hand as originals in my opinion ,good luck and keep us posted.

in Tourist Visas

I have been to the US Embassy in Manilla twice with my now wife and she also went once by herself. I was beyond frustrated and actually mad as we were denied three times.....Yeah I am that guy. I talked to several employees and security guards and three of them told me it is like in America ...what do you call them a speed trap? Everyone here today approx 1500 people paid $160 US do the math they said. As a US citizen I am not even allowed at the window to plead my case. She by the way was in an expensive nursing school getting straight As' and owned a boarding house....denied. I agree with others save your money. Nobody would wave their tourist Visa shouting hip hip hooray, but you could tell who was granted a tourist visa. As stated earlier..either very old or very rich. Sorry but this process is what it is and my opinion if they change immigration.. the 1.8 M Dreamers good for them ,the rest of us
Screwed.. no more chain migration, meaning sons, daughters mom, dads...NO
makes me too sad this was a melting pot of nations.
