it was pointless to freak out and so i had decided to wait until I had my ead to call the tier 2 officer to inquire about my ap. just now i got 2 texts, my ead went from card ordered to approved (this means it is printed and ready to be sent out?) but more importantly, my ap is now approved!!!! wish my husband was off work to celebrate with me, i am extatic i'm guessing I will get my card within a week to 10 days?
thank you guys for keeping me sane!!
awesome news hehe

So good news i can now track my green card at this point it's in Knoxville TN i'm getting super excited yayyyyy
Nice, did it just appear on usps.com dashboard or did you get a tracking number on the mycasetracker?

I'm in the same boat. It's been 104 days now since they received my AOS/EAD/AP application and my AOS is stuck in Fingerprint Fee Received. No soft touches or anything. I don't know if i should call them or not. I'm getting so frustrated now. I hope i get some updates soon.
I believe you can always call USCIS..I don't think that will hurt any. Just tell them you want to talk to a level 2 or tier 2 agent to get further details and when they get on the phone ask them. We initially called about the EAD/AP because we haven't gotten even those and he said he doesn't have further information for the EAD it's still within processing times to call back in two days, so Janice asked about the AOS and that's when he put her on hold because he had to update his call records with another question and check on the status and he came back and said it's approved. But I see you've gotten your EAD so they might be doing an interview for you guys, hopefully you get to skip that part like us. But, call, it definitely can't hurt

Finally I spoke to a tier 2. There's no positive news on my case yet. My i485 is still under review. No additional evidence is needed and it looks 'good' (whatever that's supposed to mean) but who knows how much longer I have to wait.
As to my EAD status...all I can say is 'pffff' the card is not even in production!
Whatever...I am no longer going to check my status like a maniac, but wait until I receive a message (yeah, right!)
Ugh...that was discouraging
Your case sounds so much like ours, no rfe/rfie and it just sits in received status. Ours was approved for Janice 93 days after it was received, so I am thinking yours will be soon and he probably just said it looks good because they didn't want to say they got a few 1000s cases in front of yours to make it sound like it'd be a few more years and instead will get approved in like a week or two

After getting the AOS, green card, approval, how long does it take to normally get the green card...I believe I read it can be like 3-4 weeks or sooner?
-
Got the text yesterday afternoon for AOS approval and then the email last night, the site is finally updated showing approved so it's definitely official now.
Thank you for all the congrats yesterday, had to take the wife to the doctor for her check ups.
-
Thanks Is awesome. Congrats. Does it say that it was approved when u call? Or does it still tells u the receipt date as the last update on your case?
She spoke with a lady when we first called who said about the EAD that it was june 01 recieved and that is all she had. The wife then asked to speak with a level 2 officer and the lady said they'll say the same but you are demanding to so i will transfer you..there was not demanding it was more asking lol. She got transferred and we had to do a call back took like 30-45 minutes, he then said the EAD is within processing and we have two days left to ask about the SR for the EAD, so i whispered ask about the AOS, so she did that and he put her on hold came back and asked her some verification questions which he then said it's approved, she said nothing, guy said hello are you there and she said wow thank god and he said yes approved as of sept 02..eeeeee!!
It still gives the same update it does on the website, you need to "demand" ask to speak to a level 2 agent and they apparently can see more!
-
Called to USCIS today and they didn't know much about the EAD...said we needed to wait 2 more days lol
However.....
I asked the wife to ask about the i485 and it was approved on 02SEP16!! Finally some good news for her! :)
Online status was not updated though lol still fingerprint received.
-
thanks I'll be doing what you did! do you think in your case, filing an SR sped up the process? Did it help in any way?
I filed a SR on 24aug then on 26aug it was completed, I've heard nothing other than receiving an email stating that they will process or have a notice of action shortly....today i am at day 95 from the receive date listed on the NOA and their website. We received no rfe/rfie - I am having the wife call Tuesday first thing and ask WTH is going on.
So I don't think a SR can hurt but it definitely may or may not get your EAD sooner as you can see some get theirs while others wait weeks on end still.
-
FYI:
I just received my confirmation letter for the SR I filed on Monday stating that my case is currently under review.
I received the confirmation AFTER my EAD & AP approval notice.
haha nice, wife and I are still not getting anything LOL - we are calling them next week on my day off!

I didn't know ROC interviews could be waived, that'd be awesome to get both!! Anyway happy all of you got great news this week!!
Maybe next week it'll be the wife and me doing he happy dance hehe :)
Have an awesome weekend if any of you are traveling and safe journey!!

Yes i did file in my maiden name but sent a copy of my marriage certificate also when i went to do the biometrics it asked for other names used so i assume.....realize now i was so wrong any suggestions on how i can get it changed
Just like to say I am NOT an expert at this so what I say might be incorrect but are stating from reading other posts who has done the same thing.
You can file a form forget the name of it (i90 I think) to have your GC changed, but costs like 450$. If you are on the conditional which sounds like you are, you can wait until you have to file for ROC and change it there by filing that in your new name with a marriage certificate as proof of name change. That's about all I have sorry.
There should be a lot of posts on visa journey about this, I just did google searches of file AOS in maiden name or i485 in maiden name and then hit the visa journey posts, as I trust them more.

Yes you have to wait if you don't have EAD my approval also came 2 months and a week after fingerprint fee received but i am seeing where they have service type it says class COA :CF1 anybody knows what that means also it is in my maiden name does that mean i will have a problem using my married name
Did you file your paperwork in the married name or maiden name..also from google that CF1 means you are a conditional fiancé meaning you have to do the ROC I think it's i751 to get the 10 year green card.

i just received my notice for an interview schedule and my online status is still stucked in "Ready to be Scheduled for an Interview". I guess, there's an issue right now with the USCIS system online. Might as well have the interview now. I have read somewhere that if your interview is waived now if you are adjusting from a K1, you might have to undergo interview once you will apply for Removal of Conditions.
From my understanding even if you do an interview now, you will do one at ROC, everyone has to at the ROC as it's more intense as it gives you two years being married to do all of the marriage things, like buy a house together and cars and get bank accounts and insurance and more pictures of anniversaries and all that jazz.

I think today is a good day for a lot of people to receive mail with good news! Fingers crossed X ?
Nothing, oh well always tomorrow hehe
Maybe it takes longer for me to get the mail
-
Hey all.. just a quick info for those (including me) who were wondering about approval, SR's and why we haven't heard anything...
So I just received 2 letters stating that EAD & AP was approved and will be send separately.
Nothing has changed online. I'm still on fingerprint fee received and all. So I guess the site is indeed not really working!
Awesome news! Hoping we get that same today. I believe I saw some others posting they got letters today also but no status updates online. Asked the wife to go check the mail later hehe

Hi all, i filed back in June on the 15th (received by the office on the 16th). Havent really posted because life has been very busy but now I am clock watching since my kid has started school. I'm still waiting on my EAD/AP approval... yet my kid, who I filed for at the same time as mine has already received his AP... a few weeks ago.... I'm wondering if I'm alone in waiting for combo cards ....is the average wait time still 3 months? if so..... i suppose i have about two weeks to wait.
Filed may 31 and received June 01 -- still waiting for EAD/AP and any news on AOS lol
I am at 93 days for received date!
-
My wife (entered on a K1) received her combo card on August 24, the day before her interview. In the interview the officer was a very nice young lady. She asked a few questions, and then said "I have to verify a few documents, but everything looks good". By the time we got home, the online status changed to "new card being produced". The next day it changed to "case approved", and two days ago it changed to "card picked up by USPS". The USPS tracker says It should arrive Saturday. Really, everything has been very smooth for us, we've followed the guides and have had no issues so far. Now a break for a couple years, to Removal of Conditions!
Good luck to all-
James
Congrats!

Just saw a may filer get their green card approval letter and their status hasn't changed on the website so I am thinking like they do - the website is not too reliable or updated sometimes! Hope we all get some good news in the next coming weeks especially an EAD or GC
-
What would really be awesome if the website is just stuck on some bogus status and we actually have the cards in the mail on the way!!!

@ muccapino & pinbak
I don't know what to say anymore...frustration is taking its toll ?
I guess this is what stalking feels like ?
Yea...I got that way yesterday and then started looking at other cases and I see several may 31 no approvals and june 01 and 02 still just sitting no approvals with finger print fee received on their AOS case and started feeling a lot better.
I guess I could call them up and holler but that is just not my character and surely won't get the case anyplace...I know someone is not looking at my case and going watch me make these poor souls suffer mwahhahahaha and most likely they are just overwhelmed and trying to do their best with what they got.
-
You are not alone i check like every 5 minutes
I check so much, I got my home wifi locked out for an entire weekend but then started just using the phone and then eventually got it locked out but rebooted and apparently started working again haha!!
-
Hey guys, anybody know how long it takes to get mail after putting in a SR? I never received an email or text message, so I kinda assume I will get a letter by mail.
My case has been looked at and completed, that's it...
Oooooh I am so impatient. I want my status to change too ?
I would think a week or so maybe...I am in this same boat as you but I did get an email(basically useless email). It might be that 30 day thing like when you get your card approved for them to send it out also, not sure why they'd not complete and do the mail all in one swoop...boom done lol

Should i be worried my status is still on approved since 8/27/16 and my I-485 on fingerprint fee received from 6/2016 is something wrong
I started thinking something was wrong with my wife's case since we are still at received 01jun16 for EAD/AP and finger print for AOS 07jun16 but then I checked like a thousand cases yesterday and there are plenty of cases received around end of May and beginning of June in the same status as ours.
Worry? I am a bit worried but most likely I've just got some slow case worker and has missed a lot of work, haha!!
I hope this eases your worries a bit!

Just received the approval notice for the AOS approval, but it has her maiden name and not married name on the forms. Is this how they do this, we filed all of her paperwork in her married name and even the biometrics and all other noa had her married and not the maiden like the AOS approval I797???? thanks
