Got our biometrics appointment in the mail last Saturday the 1st and is scheduled for Monday June 10th but we will be on vacation starting this Saturday the 8th! Bummer! Sent letter in today requesting a new appointment. If we had not paid for flight and hotel already there would be no problems. What are the odds of that happening after 10 months of nothing? Hope they are understanding!

Our case has not moved either!
Funny thing - My wife (visa applicant), my mum, and myself went in this morning to get fingerprinted and back ground check for a local civilian police coarse. They said they will have everything done by the time the class starts in a couple of weeks. lol

Looks like we got around a year to go people! I see some August 2017 filers are getting some approvals for their green cards.

We got our NOA 18 month extension letter yesterday in the mail! Good to see others starting to get NOA's too!
It looks like I'm the only one going through the Nebraska service center.
Has anybody else's case been moved to Nebraska?
We originally sent it in to California.

Got my Email USCIS Acceptance Confirmation, I guess were in the system now.
It also says that we will receive our I-797 notice in 7 to 10 days.

What if my wife has no middle name, do we leave it blank, n/a, or None?

We are filling in our I-751 as we speak. We get to section 7 Acknowledgement of Appointment at USCIS Application Support Center and at the point of "I _______ understand....".
We can not fill in the blank space. Checked for Adobe Reader DC update and we are good. Also the last page" Additional Information" we can not type in anything either.
Looking for any idea of why it is not letting us fill in the blanks. Thanks in advance!

Quoting myself from another thread lol - Saw this this morning and makes me mad. I was on Obamacare before I married my wife and she was on it with me for a year (never used it) until I got health insurance from my new employer. Preying this will not effects us since we are now applying for removing of conditions for the 10 year green card. In the future once my mum passes on, we are planing to move to England to be with her family for awhile but that will not be for a few more years at least.

Wow, we are not having anything in our packet about our phones. We rarely call each other unless an emergency. We usually just message each other once or twice a day when at work. But don't go by me, I heard the more the better. I'm guessing our packet will be around 200 pages when done.

We were going to be July filers but still waiting for a couple of thing to come in the mail so now were August filers. Still only less then 2 weeks behind from when we could file so at least we don't have to worry about filing to early now. We should be ready to mail in a week or so.

Hello All,
Here we go again! Its been almost 2 years since I was here last finely living life with my wife. Will be sending our removal of conditions out by the end of the month and then the waiting game begins again!
Quick question: What would be the best way to organize the evidence and send it in. I'm thinking about using a 1" think 3 ring binder with all the evidence in clear plastic protector sheets with index tabs to locate each piece of evidence from the table of contents.

My 2 1/2 cents is, we hired a attorney for the K1 visa since all of this was new to us and new to this web site. Once we saw what and how the attorney did it, we have done everything ourselves since with the help of VJ. As long as you were very careful about doting all the eyes and crossing all the tees, and understanding exactly what they are wanting in each step, you will be OK. The waiting time is what does everyone in even if you use an attorney. Since you already sent yours in, you can always hire an attorney if needed to step in and help with any problems. Good Luck!

We are starting to get things together for our ROC.
It's been nice living life together for a couple of years not worrying about this stuff! It was so cool a couple of years ago sitting on the balcony together on vacation in Myrtle Beach one night during a few drinks getting the text saying that the 2 year green card was approved without an interview. I guess we'll most likely get an interview this time.
So far I see we need the Cover letter, Table of contents, Check for $595.00, Completed I-751 form, and lots of proof of the on going married relationship.
Couple of Questions:
1) Looks like its going to take around a year to process so do we need to do something so my wife can still keep working once the 2 year card is expired?
2) The same as above but for traveling within the USA and out of the USA? (Airline flights and passport)
3) more to follow lol

My wife had the same problem too. She started to volunteer at a local pet shelter walking dogs a couple days a week. We eventually adopted a couple and she walks them daily. She has since started a dog walking business in the neighborhood as well as the pet shelter as well as got a part time job at a Goodwill store. As someone said earlier, if you go on line for your local community, you should be able to find some kind of volunteering job other then dogs if not a dog person. Best of luck to you!

Think of climate change as your lungs. you get a cold and you cough and feel bad until it is gone just like the earth repairs its self when volcanoes erupt polluting the air, floods and fires scorch the land but eventually the air clears, and trees and plants grows back. Global heating and cooling has been going on for a long as the earth has been around.
Now you start putting smoke in your lungs (man made pollution), a couple of cigarettes a day will probably not hurt you as early man probably was not hurting the earth with his pollution. But now your a chronic smoker, smoking a couple of packs a day and now when you get a cold, your cough is deeper and last longer and will probably lead to an early death. Just like the earth with more and more man made chronic pollution, its will take longer for it to heal itself, longer for the air to clear, longer for the plants to grow back.
Deforestation, air, water and land pollution (all cigarettes ) a day at a time no big change but over the years will have an effect!
