RxM16 what is your receipt date again? I think ours were similar. Also, did you put in any SR's? (If so when?). I think we are on similar timelines. I haven't received anything
-
Ilovepho we have the same receipt dates and same issue with no bio. I was finally able to get the Tier 2 to put an expedite on my 765, even though I had an SR in on it. She said sometimes she can submit it and the computer will take it and sometimes not but I got it lucky. My understanding is that the expedite I should hear something in 7 days?

Unfortunately an RFI resets the clock to day one starting as soon as they receive it so I've been told many many times. You're in the same boat as me, except I'm trying to just get a dam bio appointment. They received my RFI Sept 28. I got off the phone with a Tier two and the lady put in for my case to be expedited since it's day 80 and no biometrics. Good luck
-
I was told by a Tier 2 that it doesn't delay it, but I've also been told and read online that it does delay it. I'm getting pretty PO'd. I've put in two separate SR for my case because I have not gotten my bio appt yet (receipt date August 15). This is getting ridicualous, I haven't even received acknowledgment that my SR was received.

Got my AP approval notice in the mail today, was hoping it was my biometrics appt. oh well, Should have it by Nov 4 which is what one Tier 2 agent said, and another said I should have it in 10-15 days a week ago so that lands around the same time. I can't travel with the notice right I have to wait for the card? I hope they just send me a combo card after my bio and not two separate ones.
-
You mentioned you are waiting for a phone call from them? If not call the 800 number, talk to the customer service agent (first person to pick up) tell them you've been waiting an extended amount of time and have not received a biometrics appt and you want to talk to a Tier 2. They should transfer you then you'll get in line for a call back. They call you back and that's a Tier 2 agent. Definitely talk to a Tier 2 and do an infopass, more info the better

There's nothing we can do just to wait I guess.. I'm going crazy i got my noa in the mail August 20.
Leeshaoran, read my post from earlier today, perhaps that has happened to you as well as me. My notice date was August 15. Your infoPASS should be able to give you info, talk to a Tier 2 officer as well and ask specific questions, I find talking to a couple Tier twos and going to my infoPASS I have found out a lot of information. Talking to multiple Tier 2s is good because generally if they all say the same thing then that is generally true. If one says one thing, and another says something else, it's tough to believe that I find and have also found sometimes they give you the run-around. Just my $.02!! Be patient! It's frustrating I know lol

Just got off the phone with a Tier 2, the guy I spoke to was really cool, he said he had been dealing with cases of those who have the same or similar receipt notice dates. Basically for me, which will help others that are like me, I did not receive biometrics after the receipt notice (Aug 15, 2016) and have still not had anything despite putting in an SR after 30 days post-receipt. This past Monday night my AP was approved but EAD was not. What the Tier 2 said was that the AP was approved, the EAD was looked at but couldn't be considered "approved" as I did not have my biometrics done, and by it being looked at and my AP approved that is what is triggering the biometrics to be scheduled. So what I took from that is if you have not had a biometrics since your notice date but your AP was approved. Then you should receive the biometrics as the AP approval and your EAD being looked at will trigger the biometrics so just wait a week or two until you get it in the mail. With that being said if your AP has not been approved, it may be looked at, and that will trigger the biometrics appt.

Just says Case has been received for the EAD and approved for the AP. Unfortunately I think the lady saw the AP approval and maybe combined them and used the same approval and expiration date.
The lady at the InfoPASS that is

Alright I think I'm getting the run around. At my infoPASS appointment this morning I was told my EAD was approved yesterday. I got my call back from the Tier 2 agent today and she said I cannot get my EAD/AOS approved without biometrics (I had mine done in 2013 for my P1, not sure if that carries over) and that my EAD is still processing. Do they not use the same system?? How does one say it's approved and the other doesn't?
-
-
Of course. And it's very satisfying knowing that it had been approved.
-
I thought you needed it for the EAD (people were saying this on this actual thread and a Tier 2 agent actual told me this). I haven't asked, I'm waiting for an immigration officer to call me back to confirm everything and talk about the biometrics.
-
I don't know what to say about the biometrics... both the EAD and the AP have been approved as of last night. I didn't have a biometrics appointment, and I don't have one scheduled either.
I should clarify my second last comment, the 60 day processing time was for the EAD and AP card to be produced and in my hands.

Just got done my infoPASS appointment.. good news and and bad notice, found out that my EAD and AP has been approved (only my AP was updated and notified me online though), that was all yesterday that this happened. I have an approved date and an expiration date for my EAD. Bad news is when I showed up the lady said there isn't anything she could do because my case was at the Missouri location. She said to call the 800 number and talk to them. I sat down and began to call and she called me back up and asked for my EAD receipt notice and said she'll do some digging and to have a seat. A few minutes later she called me back up and told me the good news about the EAD. I left and called the 800 number to check processing times, the computer the service agent on the phone was using showed that it was still processing but she said that is normal and wouldn't change yet as it was only approved yesterday. The bad news is that for Chicago the processing times for AP and EAD can take up to 60 days at the most.
-
I get that. But does that mean my cases have been transferred to the local offices now?
-
This is so weird! Last night at 15 to midnight I got a USCIS text saying to check my status as it has been updated. Now it says my AP has been approved, I don't have a bio appt yet still and my infopass is today? Is this strange?
-
Everlast mine is Chicago too. I get to go downtown during prime time rush hour tomorrow lol. I think we are in similar situations? Appt is at 9:30, 30 minute drive and I have to leave at 7:15am at the latest.

I have my 3 NOAs for my receipts, my entire AOS application including AP and EAD (photocopied). Do I need any originals besides the original 3 NOAs?
-
Hey guys I have an infopass tomorrow, basically because it's been 63 days since my receipt notice and I have yet to hear anything for a biometrics appt. What can I expect, I'll bring just about everything I have so far. Also, are there any key questions I can ask to really get some progress made? Or just anything at all that I should make sure to ask? I already have a list, I want to make sure I'm not missing anything
-
Hey Buddy I sent you a PM.
-
You and I both! Should hear back within 15 days, I have an infopass appointment next Tuesday which is half way so I'm gonna see what I can do
-
I called and have a SR in about my biometrics and here's what I took from the conversation. Any comments are welcome:
1) To hear anything back about my SR will take up to 15 days
2) After that I will get another letter about 7 days after with a biometrics appointment
3) That appointment will typically be no later than 3 weeks later
4) Once I have my biometrics, my EAD card will be produced and sent out (roughly a week or so)
I have an InfoPASS appointment scheduled for next week Tuesday, is there any point in going or should I cancel it. Will I just get the same info I just got from the IO over the phone?
-
Just got off the phone with an IO (Tier 2)... if you get an RFE for any of your applications you submitted through AOS (including 485/131/765) everything is put on hold until they get the RFE. So if you got an RFE don't wait to send anything in.

Finnnaaalllllyyyy after 80 days of not getting by bio appointment I got it. November 16th. Going to try an early walk in. How does the walk in work? It gets done then what? How long after do I wait to follow up?
How long after the biometrics does something generally get updated?
