  1. Can i get some information that i could not find from the VJer's timeline ?

    1) If you filed at phoenix lockbox and St. louis,MO is your ASC. where did you guys go for you citizenship interview ? (i went to chicago at the time of my CGC)

    2) I requested this in a separate post but never got any inputs, does anyone had a walk in biometrics experience at St. Louis, MO ?

    3) The pair Phoenix and St.Louis is doing pretty well with N400 applications. i see its taking anywhere in between 4 to 7 months for the process to finish from start to end. Does anyone has anything special that is worth a mention here ?

Thats all i wanted to know.

    Merci.

  2. aah, this is a tricky situation. i am not going to tell you to do what you been wanting to do at your interview will be fool proof or not because i do not know but that is pretty much you can do.On a side note , they might not even ask you for your husband's certificate during the interview, not saying you should just go in on their mercy. do take the photocopy, original pp of your spouse and preferably the receipt for N-565.

  3. hello everyone

    a quick synopsis

I had my interview roughly two months ago, all went well but there are multiple files in my name (old green card) so it must be consolidated before a decision is made

fast forward to day, I did an info pass this morning and the officer at the window said you passed everything, but there is no decision yet

    So you need to wait

sucks - i wish there is something i can do

but my biggest dilemma is that i went home only to realize that the officer that interviewed me had left a voice mail on my phone with his name and phone number prior to the interview asking for my birth certificate

later on he called the same day to say he found the document but i never realized that i had that voicemail

but i have his contact info, and i really really want to use it and just ask if there is anything else needed to make a decision on my case

but i am hesitant and curious what his reaction would be, it may not be welcomed at all

    any thoughts

I would suggest you to call the officer back, it is not inappropriate as he/she left the contact info with you.

  4. Houston office seems to be the slowest in the whole country now for N-400 processing.

I still dont understand the reason for the changes in processing time from 4 month processing time from late last year to January this year compared to to 8-9 month it takes them to process N-400 application from February till now.

Anybody have any idea of whats going on?

What amazed me is that busier processing office like Chicago, NY , Atlanta all have a less processing time when compared to Houston office. They are just so slow.

My application was sent to them on 05/16/14 and biometric was completed on 06/19. In line for interview since 06/23/14 and no changes in status since then.

    Very slow office indeed...............

  5. Thanks for your kind words, he is not talking to me since Thursday , he came from his job , he found me sitting face to the laptop applying and applying for jobs , suddenly he came close to me gave some money and said " those are the money you are waiting for" i asked him put them in the overdrawn joint account he said " no those are your money" since then he is not speaking, when i try to speak to him he ignore me. i clean the house, cook, sometimes i go out when i feel he will be soon at the house , just to avoid the feeling he gave me while he find me at the house,

That is not very nice of him. why is he doing all this anyways ? like this other fellow vjers mentioned, why did you guys get married if he is not treating you with respect and dignity. i am sorry

  6. Thank you, husband married me and has no idea about marriage life and supporting wife, he feels upset anytime he give me some money, he refused since i came here to give me any bank card to use, he said he will give me money in hand like a kid, since that time anytime he give me anything he stay mad for days /weeks , i didn't hear from him any nice word since i entered to USA to support me, when i came he kept saying for months "You DID NOT DO ANYTHING",and "Women here in USA they work they do not stay at the house they bring money in table" and now the sentence he repeat anytime: "NOBODY WANTS TO HIRE YOU", he is abusive , hater, and really any job i will find at this point i will be very happy with, because it will save my life, I'm sure he will stop giving what he is giving now , he cant wait to be free from giving out of his packet some dollars to his wife ,

you were lucky your wife she was understanding i wish a good luck to you

I am sorry to hear that. seems like you are under a lot of pressure and not being loved.hope that change.

  7. I went through the same.bad lifestyle, bad eating habits. we did not had any monetary issues as my wife was earning well and never pushed me for anything crazy. i am sorry that you are going through this. Please keep trying like you have been doing.there is a thin line between being happy and sad. i promise you , things will change fast.this is a great country and there are jobs.

  8. I moved in a little hamlet of western IL 4 years ago because that is what my wife wanted since she is a country girl. the nearest biggest town has a population of like 2500 or less and the job scene was bleak, i hold a masters degree in EE and was aiming too high. Not that it was wrong of me to aim high as i am well qualified but i did not even look at non career jobs for the time being.i decided to apply for a call center job in the little town as a tech support and was promoted to a supervisor in a month. i worked there for a year and made only 37k/year but was very active with job hunt.i was able to find a semi tech job that paid more and gave me a lot of exposure.i worked there for another couple of years before finding my current job which is a career job and i am making a little less than 6 figures now. i am not a money chaser and not a very positive person but somehow managed to remain positive during the job hunt. my whole point of sharing this with you is not to self brag but to tell you to hang it in there and keep slogging. you will find a job.

  9. Hi Fellows,

I would like to know if any Visa journey members recently had early walk in (biometrics) experience at St. Louis field office ? I would like to Prepone and before my scheduled date of biometrics just to save time if i can. Also, i have searched extensively for the STL office Phone number so that i can confirm this from them but i could not find any contact number. if you guys can share the current phone number, i will be thankful.

P.S -Topics that are 6-7 years old mentions that they did early walk ins but on certain days. the info was not very descriptive so i decided to ask this question.

    Merci
