You went to the interview with her right? How was it like, were you interviewed separately or the CO interviewed her with you right there? My husband is going with me to the interview.
Also, did the Filipino consul took some docs or just checked it and you gave everything to the American consul? Do I need to make duplicates of everything, and how many? Thanks in advance
aww.. I got 7:30am
good luck to us!

Very similar experience for us as well. I did not go with the wife for her interview. However she reported the process to be pretty smooth and the better your documentation is the easier it gets. We definitely did need the I-864 (or I-864ez in our case) but there is no fee charged for it. She had money with her to pay the $120 fee just in case, though.
My wife said there were five steps - two interviews, a preliminary interview (step 1 I think) and she needed her DS-260 printed out for that even though they have one on screen as well, I am sure. Other people who did not have it printed ran into big problems according to the wife. She paid the DS-260 fee, took an oath, and was at step 5 in about 2 or 2 1/2 hours. Other folks were there much longer if they had problems with their documentation. Her second and last interview was with an American. It was very short, our documentation was extensive (though no photos at all) and within a couple of minutes my wife was approved.
She was told to expect her passport and visa packet within two weeks. The slightly longer time may be due to her having to get vaccinations tomorrow morning. She has been through the medical and passed it two weeks previously but St Luke's wanted to wait two weeks before vaccinating her. That put those shots back to one day after the interview. The folks at the interview did not have a problem with that at all.
Note: I may have a step out of order. My wife is still in Manila and I've only had the reports over the phone. I'll get the whole scoop in proper order after she returns tomorrow.

Congratulations! I won't be able to attend her interview because I didn't have enough vacation to both visit her family later this year and attend. I suspect she will have built a lot of confidence by getting her CFO certificate and medical complete - hopefully she will be glowing - as I think her friends are probably sick of hearing about me. It's also nice to see stories like this that I can share with her. Thanks for sharing! Good luck! Ours is May 23, and I am hopeful to get her here for Memorial day so we have several days together without burning up too much vacation time.

Wow congrats! I was gonna ask how you organized your photos, but you already said it in your response. It's reassuring to read stories like this, and actually a lot of cases being approved as long as you have everything and followed the correct steps.
Maybe later on you could also post about your experience when she gets to the US and finally starting your life together there

You could have slept in the first day at SLEC, no need to arrive that early.
Glad all went well at the embassy.

Nope won't frown on the "job hopping", as long as you have good documentation; Employer letter stating your gross income, etc., copies of pay stubs (as many as you can collect between now and interview date). Still provide your tax return and W2 as it is listed as required.
