  1. Yes, I just had the same situation. I paid the AOS fee on November 3rd and if it wasn't for someone here on VJ I wouldn't have known to call yetersday. And surprisly today not even 25 minutes ago I got the email to pay the visa fee. Good Luck!

    HI all,

I want to share my experience, my mother is petitioning for my brother to come to US, we are at NVC stage, i paid the AOS fee, and we picked the Agent which in this case will be me. two weeks passed and nothing happened no IV fee or DS260, so i called yesterday and they told me that Choice of agent is not verified and i told her how long does it takes, she said about 45 days, than she said that to verify it she need to speak to the petition and i told her she does not speak English, but i can translate she is OK, after we are done, she said ok sure i just completed your choice of agent review and i should be receiving an IV Fee within a week.

it was strange, that she needed to speak the petitioner to complete the verification, so basically if i did not call and ask they will never call her, If we knew it was that simple we would of called two weeks ago.

  2. I am so EXCITED!! and had to share this with the VJ members NVC just sent the link for us to pay the Visa fee......Everyone here has been a major HELP!! in this process. A little over 4 1/2 months ago my husband and I started this process and very grateful to the young lady that shared this website with us. So, I would like to thank everyone that has answer all my crazy questions and I know I will have plenty more before the end of our journey.

  3. Did they say if they sent out a RFE (Request for more Evidences)

Hello I am from Dominican Republic my I-130 is in Nebraska since June 15- 2015 ... Today I have 150 days waiting .. my husband called today and told him they were late, were in April 2015 ... my question is that time missing? by my count there are five months and almost met ... many cases in my country approve them before 5 months ..... thanks

  4. looks like you are covered also, check www.uscis.gov to ensure you have all documents Good Luck!

And just wanted to know what you think/if I should be all set. :) Thanks.

    My fiance is from Canada.

    I have...

    *Check for $340

    *Cover letter

*Form I-129F with attachment about how we met

    *Letter of intent from me

    *Letter of intent from fiance

*G-325A form filled out by me

    *Passport photo of me

*G-325A form filled out by fiance

    *Passport photo of fiance

*My birth certificate front and back, and also all pages from my passport because I am not sure if I have the long form birth certificate or not

*Proof that we met within the past two years: copies of all my boarding passes and itineraries from visiting her, eight pictures of us together, bank statements (I highlighted where I spent money in Canada)

*Other proof: copies of cards/letters to each other, six total

    *E-notification form

Am I missing anything?! Also, is that enough evidence?

    Thank you!

  5. Good Evening! And WELCOME!!! please do your timeline and more people within that embassy can see your process and be able to assist. Good Luck!

has anybody whose k3 visa was approved last week and case status is Issued, gone to pick his or her visa without any notification from the embassy?

    your input is highly needed.

  6. Good Evening! We are at the same stage at this time as well and have a lot of questions because, it is totally unclear to me as well. As far as I have read that USCIS ELIS isn't something you may have not unless it's the first case number that was given from USCIS

And for a joint sponsor if you would know would they fill out a separate application?

Hi all. Just several more quick questions about all the AOS forms my fiance (K-1 holder) filled out. She had these questions:

    1) On the I-485 and other forms when filling out the address there's a field which says "in care of" . What does this mean? Should she put my name or hers? Or leave blank?

    2) On the I-864 there's a field which asks for a USCIS ELIS account number. I don't think she has this. Is that OK?

    3) For the I-765 for the eligibility category she put ©(9) . The instructions say to put (a)(6) if she files within 90 days however she arrived on August 7 so the 90 days will be over in a week. Should I just keep the ©(9)??

    4) Regarding fees, when I file everything together I can waive the I-131 and I-765. Does that mean I just pay $1,070 for everything? According to the link here it is $1,070.

    http://www.uscis.gov/i-485

What about I-864? What I found indicated no fees but I just wanna make sure.

Thanks! If all is accurate I can finally send everything out on Monday.

  7. I am struck on this I-864 pg 2 Part 3 Would this be where I list my step son? He is on the orginal petition but, will not be coming the same time as my husband. Please HELP!!

Item Number 2. Family Members. The immigrant you are sponsoring may bring a spouse and/or children to the United States. If the spouse and/or children will travel with the immigrant, or within six months of the immigrant’s entry into the United States and you are sponsoring them, you should list the names and other requested information in the spaces provided. If any dependents are not immigrating, will immigrate more than six months after the sponsored immigrant arrives in the United States, or you are not sponsoring them, do not list their names here. A separate Form I-864 is required for them when they apply for their immigrant visas.

  8. Vjers I am here filling out AOS form and have a few quick questions and I can always depend on the wonderful HELP!! of all the awesome VJers here:

    1) Do the 1st Joint Sponsor fill out a whole separate application?

    2) Part 2. Will that mailing address be for immigrant or for our address here in the USA?

    3) What is the USCIS ELIS #

    4) Part 5. has me totally confused on space 1 it's asking me to add 1, then the 1 for MYSELF then to add my husband once again then my 2 children from a previous marriage. OMG! the household isn't 5 it's 4

    PLEASE HELP!! Thank you!

  9. Heo I also wanted to mention the reason I have to place my FONT on a different setting unlike yourself is because of vision but, it's people such as yourself that doesn't see the BIG picture and thanks for replying to the question at hand. You continue having such a great day and sorry again for the font change in order to see.

    Sorry about that Heo Luoi

  10. Thank you! for your assistants in this matter. I appreciate that.

It's okay that you were laid off. The I-864 [Affidavit of Support] has an option for checking off 'Unemployed' and since when.

Don't worry, this won't throw a wrench into the whole process.

You'll be getting a joint sponsor so they'll be looking at the joint sponsor's income to see if they can support your husband and not your income.
