So, you are saying about 5 months before he may get here or 5 months for first process?

I would like to know we have submitted papers to get my step son here. Do anyone know how longer it takes to complete the first process and get him here to the USA?

Please help I sent off the I-130 for my step son and the application was sent back due to Part 1. Relationship number 1. I am filing this petition for my ( ) Spouse ( ) Parent ( ) Brother/Sister ( ) Child I failed to check one of the boxes and the application was returned. In the number 2 part of the question I did check Stepchild. I just need to know should I have checked Child in the first box?

I know that it has to be someone that can answer this question for my dear friend because, I am totally unsure how to guy her. She married a man from Jamaica that is from my husband's area. Well long story short she has come to learn that he has married her only to gain his status her in the USA. He has now been here 2 1/2 years and hoping his 10 years will come soon. Which isn't right because, she worked very hard to get him here and she feels hurt and use. Can someone please give some advise for me to share with Tammy so she can move forward.

Good Day! I am trying to assist a friend that has 2 children for her ex husband that was deported 10 years ago back to his country. She is looking for a way to get him back for the children due to emotional and depression situations that the children are having in their day to day living. I have done some research today on USCIS website about the I-212 but, would to ensure that I am giving her the best information possible to assist her and her children. Thank you in advance!

Which have you filed the I 130? Because, if so the fee goes with it when you submit it. And you stated wavier but, not which type of wavier. I hope that helps!

Waivers Following Serious Offenses
Some people have a better chance than others of receiving waivers to reenter the United States. Getting a waiver following an aggravated felony is extremely difficult. Similarly, aliens accused of terrorist activity are not likely to receive a waiver of inadmissibility.
The term "aggravated felony" is defined in I.N.A. §101(a)(43). Among other things, the term includes offenses such as murder, sexual abuse of a minor, rape, drug trafficking, and illicit trafficking in firearms or destructive devices. An alien who is removed for an aggravated felonywill be barred from reentering the United States for twenty years (even if removed only once).

I am asking this question for a family member. My cousin was married to someone for 14 years now remarried but, trying to find away to assist her 2 children's father come back to the USA after being deported back to his country because, she doesn't feel the step father will truly care for them if anything would happen to her. The father was sent back for a felony charge. I am unsure how long he is barred for but, I do know that it has been 10 years or more now. If you have any suggestions I thank you in advance.

You have to provide background information for anyone to be able to help you. i130 is a general petition for Family and Relatives. How old is your son, maybe he qualify for visa waiver depending on his age and your Citizenship Status. But if it's a standard application for a child over the age of 21 then you need to file i130. Feel free to ask any other questions or concerns.

It all depends on the intake officer he gets at the interview. But, make sure he takes the documents with him. Just stay positive and the birth papers are totally different than the US birth papers. Good Luck!
