  1. Does no one know this?....

I am married in florida last year i sended in the certificate of our marriage from the county clerk

On my p4 letter stands that this will be send from nvc to the consulate but do i need to bring the origial with an appostille from the state of florida or is that not nessesary? And is the certificate just fine and enough?...

I would bring it if you have it. I believe most people interviewing need to bring their originals with them. In my case, they want originals and a copy even though they have them on file already.

  2. Our case hasn't received a case number yet (arrived at NVC on 12th February, so I'll give them some time before I have to listen to that music again), but I'm trying to be proactive with getting materials for the AOS and IV, and I was wondering a bit about the IRS transcripts. Are IRS transcripts from 2014 counted as the latest tax year? Or is it possible to get one from 2015 already? I really don't understand the US tax system, and my google fu has failed me!

Any interview taking place after April 15th of this year will be required to bring updated tax returns for 2015. If you file for an extension, you must bring that evidence as well. It takes about 8 weeks to get your transcripts from the IRS once you have submitted your returns. If your interview falls within that gap, bring copies of your submitted returns.

  3. Okay....I have a question and I hope someone can shed some knowledge...

In doing some reading, I found that NVC schedules an interview within 30 days (of course that is dependent on the posts volume) of a case being deemed as DQ. Although this is completely opposition of the letter you receive after your case has bee deemed as DQ, it stated 60 (well for me it stated 60). So my question is this, does the clock start from the date on the "official" letter? For example, lets say my DQ (CC) was 2/3 and I received the official

notification on 2/10. So, which date should be used to estimate when to hear about an interview date?

    It starts from CC date.

  4. Awesome news to kick off the week...thank you!

My I ask how you found out? Did you get an email? We weren't always prepared so we moved one step at once. I read the wiki info but I believe it's lacking clarifications. What do you suggest we do next to be ready (besides pics and originals for interview)?

    Thanks

I didn't do EP, but you can find out by calling or waiting on the e-mail.

You'll have plenty of time before the interview to get everything together. You'll need all originals since you are EP. Your P4 e-mail will let you know what you need as well.

  5. Ok, so I am gonna post here too as I am so excited to finally have CC today! I watch you guys practically relentlessly as so many of you are Montreal, Canada too. So while I haven't posted here, hubby and I keep an eye on this forum too just to see where you guys are with the process. I hope that we get an early April interview date and I hope you guys all have smooth and easy physicals, interviews, and rapid return of your visa's so you can be together here in the US!!!

You guys will hopefully get a date toward the first of April.

EP is definitely the way to go now.

  6. Right, that is what I thought! My stupid lawyer now has it in my head I need to bring stuff to prove where I live! I am not sure why I listen to him, the guy is a moron. I think I am just going to put those 3 items I listed earlier in my husbands folder, if anything it can't hurt to have and I rather us be safe.

Hopefully Montreal won't even ask for half the extra stuff he will have lol.

Congrats!! That CC is the best feeling ever. Wishing you a quick interview date!

Yeah, I highly doubt they ask for that since you are technically the sponsor, but it never hurts to have it.

  7. O.k so I am getting some of our paperwork in order for husbands interview and my lawyer told us that I would have to show proof of Domicile. I have a color photocopy of my drivers license, passport, voter registration card and my car insurance card (that also shows my husband on the policy). All those items have my current address on them. Of course I will also have my tax transcripts, completed taxes for 2015 and letter of employment that also confirms I work in FL. Do you guys think this is good, or should I include more stuff?

    Cosmos,

I thought proof of domicile was only for those where both are living outside of the US?
