  1. @jayisis -

The notice of intent to deny basically said it is requesting for us to send in a bunch of additional documents (original marriage cert, Evidence of Citizenship etc.) giving me 30 days to send them the documents, otherwise they will deny the I129f which my lawyer says shouldnt matter anymore since my I130 is already approved but I am still not exactly sure if that is right. the AOS/IV package is the one they havent received yet, atleast i havent gotten an email for it yet and have not tried calling NVC today. And Yes really hoping it doesnt effect anything else going forward...

I got an RFE for i129f after my i130 was approved and sent to NVC, and I made sure I responded to the i129f RFE and then it was also approved. You have an option to write a signed letter to the service center asking to close or cancel the i129f case if you do not wish to proceed with it. That case would not be related to what is going on with your immigrant case at NVC.

When did the postal service deliver your AOS/IV package ?

  2. I completed the DS-261 & paid the AOS fee on August 31, 2015.

The AOS fee is still showing "In Process" after 5 business days and the payment went thru my bank several days ago.

The IV fee has not been opened so I can pay.

I know it is nearly impossible to get through to NVC but should I be calling? If not, how long should I wait?

    Thank you,

The IV fee will not be available until your AOS fee shows PAID & 261 is reviewed by agent over phone. You could call later tonight when nvc is not busy and ask what they can do about your AOS fee and review.

  3. Hey guys, so on friday i received a notice of intent to deny for the i129f that my lawyer had submitted with my i130, i am hoping to speak with him sometime this week about it, Im pretty sure not responding to the NOID will cause a problem in the long run even though the i130 is already approved and at NVC from what i've heard on these forums atleast... anyways it really put a damper on my long weekend :/ ...And still no response from NVC that they've received our packet - think these 2 are related?

What is the notice of intent to deny? I also did the I129f with the i130, but I don't anticipate any issues with i129f interfering with immigrant case.

    Which package haven't they received?

  4. Hello everyone, my husband called NVC today

    twice.

The first rep requested we wait till 17th of

September that the checklist email doesn't

    matter.

The second rep checked the system and said

they didn't receive any other documents

apart from the Police Report that was sent

and request we resend the documents.

    What do we do now?

Hubby is already complaining of having to fill the AOS form all over.

So you got a checklist for police clearance certificate? And you sent that with the document cover sheet? If so, when did the checklist package arrive to nvc? You may have to wait a couple days for them to scan it and then call to verify that they received it.

  5. My question about the IV package is the passport photos of my husband. I sent one with the USCIS. But Seeing that they request two, I have asked hubby to send me two more, which means he has to mail them to me. So how important are the passport photos if he is also going to bring them to Interview? My passport photos are not required right? I have not been able to get thru to NVC today, their phone lines are busy!

NVC does not require beneficiary's passport photos. The embassy will require it during the interview. If you are already at nvc stage, I would advise to just wait until the interview to submit the (2) passport photos.

  6. So I received one email from NVC on Sep 5 and another today on Sep 7 stating the same thing that they have received my documents on Sep 3...is it my scan date?

Also, why did I get two emails stating the same thing?

That is interesting that you got an email today.... hmmm wonder if anyone is working overtime..I guess the system can still generate emails today

Sept 3rd is your scan date. Multiple emails for one thing is not necessarily a bad thing.

  7. the post was removed, thanks for letting me know my friend!

I just thought that eveidence that i sent to USCIS before, NVC will not send it to the Embassy and thought that the CO will have a desicion even before the interview, I am not having much to send anyway, dident meet my wife since a year now and cant send new pics, if i send i can send only lease of house, fb and skp msgs.

    You're welcome!

If you think the lease of your house will help to convince them of financial stability or even relationship, it doesn't hurt to send it. However, don't expect that it will automatically get forwarded to embassy for you. From my understanding, they don't need to see that at nvc, not sure that it is bad to include it ahead of interview

  8. I have a strange situation (I think).

So, our I-130 got approved in late July, and now we are in the middle of NVC proceedings.

Just last week, our I-129F (K-3) application also got approved at USCIS, and is now in transit to NVC.

My understanding was that USCIS would have administratively closed this I-129F instead of processing and sending to NVC.

Do I need to take any action on this?

Would the I-129F getting processed at NVC mess up/delay the I-130 timelines for us?

    Thanks!

USCIS will just forward to NVC. NVC will most likely close i129f when they see your case number for i130 in the system. I have not called to confirm that they closed my i129f, not really worried about it.

  9. Hi guys, what did you sent in the IV packet, an orginal or a copy of your marriage certificate with english translation, i sent the packet to my wife and we dident send it to nvc yet, many people told me they got a request for the original marriage certificate with a translation from nvc after they send their packets, am confused!

Copy of birth certificate. Certified copies of translation if necessary.

  10. My husband finally got the welcome letter in the mail. I called nvc about my DS-261 but they didn't review it :-( how did you guys got them to review it over the phone? We're so anxious to pay the IV and summit the required documents

I took someone's advice on VJ about wording.. i said something like [i was hoping you could look at my agent of choice with me] or [i wanted to go over my agent of choice tonight,..hopefully with you] That is, I don't think I said can you review my 261.

I waited on the line until someone picked up. Now the option is 7 i believe, to speak to a knowledgeable rep who did not seem to be reading a script.

Call back until you get someone who will help you. Good luck!
