"Are you living together in France" yes. His response, ok wow. 
"Where will you live in.the US.
Answered
"What is your financial situation"
Explained. 
He then said to use assets the requirement is much more when you don't have a job. 
So I asked, maybe it's 5 times more, he said, I don't know but there is a calculation, I will do it later. If all is well, the passport will arrive in 10 days. 
Then we said, we have a joint sponsor if needed, julien clarified that yeah, we have her paperwork. 
So then he took it, said. "That's great, no need to calculate now. All is good. Having problems with the computers so you should receive your passport with the visa in 10 business days. Enjoy moving back to the US. :-) 
 
So yay, we're finished!!! Thank you everyone for all of your support. Heading home tonight, will be back online tomorrow to give a better review. Thanks again everyone for your well wishes. Really made me smile.

Just got off the phone with NVC and got my interview date - September 19.

Just got off the phone with NVC they said no more appointments for August..she said at the end of the month they will receive another batch of dates from the embassy for September interviews. Fingers crossed my hubby gets one of those dates.

I feel you. Our case was completed more than 30 days ago. I was hoping to get an interview on August. I called this morning and the rep said they are just about done scheduling August today. Still now interview for us. Of course keep in mind that every embassy is different.

Just got off the phone with NVC and it's confirmed. Case completed today, thank you and I will update the spreadsheet 😋🎉

Just check NVC and my status changed from " submit documents" to "at NVC" also my AOS field has disappeared. Fingers cross this is a true CC. Scan date was 5/9/2017

This isn't true at all.
 
If you look at people's timelines from K1 who get green cards approved without an interview, you'll see the total time from USCIS having received application to approving application ranges from 3-6 months... That would make it 0-3 months after EAD approved not 6 more months. I've even read about cases where green card is approved before EAD.
 
As helpful as this forum is, it's also frustrating to see people spread false information at times, even if there no ill-intention.

We just got approved ??!!!...PD 8/4...woke up to text messages and email that we were approved yesterday.. Good luck guys 

I just saw on the uscis app on my phone that 10 cases before mines all got a response.. just like me their  paperwork was received on august 2

Most K-1 applicants aren't required to do an AOS interview, they, like you have, receive their green card approval without an interview.
