Have you done the DNA already? I am referring to the one through the embassy?

My experience is from my dad. After he had done his DNA testing here in the US and the embassy had received it, they notified him and us to come and pick up the DNA testing packet to go for the DNA testing. We did it at Roman Ridge in Accra. it took about 4 to 6 months to hear anything from the embassy. They called us back for an interview and asked 2 or 3 questions and we were approved.

Actually your case has some unusual circumstance per the review on your profile but that's not the issue now.

Just be patient and keep emailing the embassy.. If i were you, since you said that your case was returned because the embassy lied that you didn't show up for the DNA in 2014.

Create and email template and resend everyday until you here from them.

Okay i will do that and thanks for taking your time to share your experience ... appreciate it

Yes IcezMan_IcezLady i went for my DNA swab on 18th May 2017 and on the 29th May 2017 the DNA result was delivered to the embassy being a match, 9.9999997% simply means am the biological father. My first interview was far back October 2014 but the embassy sent our case back to USCIS for review and it was reaffirmed again in July 2016. I feel am the only one the embassy is treating unfairly because when you follow our case there is nothing unusual about it.

It can take months, how many is difficult to say, they have to review it and set another interview for you.
I would contact my senator if emails to the consulate are non productive.

Can someone help me with the time frame on when to hear back from Accra embassy after they've received your DNA results and is a match?

I have been waiting for over a month after they've received the DNA result

After your DNA says is a match 99.9% how long did it took the embassy to call you for your visa or what is happening with your case now if you are still waiting?

I took my DNA test on 18th May 2017, Embassy got back the result on the 29th May 2017, the DNA is a match meaning am the biological father of my child.

I will be very glad if you can share your story with me hoping to hear from you soon..

Thanks for your comment.  Many who commented are from countries that are easy to immigrate from or those with great legal and child care systems that is not the case here.  I am a very self-reliant and confident person and realistic.  I understand the entire story and who knows who and what had to happen where my husband and I even to be in this situation.  Right now I am concerned for the child.  My sister in law is older and may not always be there for the child.  My current concern is the child.

I contacted a DNA company they can do the DNA however it will not count for immigration.  Not sure why they are a AABB certified.  No matter we are scheduled and should have results soon.

The reason why they said it will not count for immigration is because it's not recommended by US Embassy. You are doing it for your own clarification.... In my case the embassy gave me a form demanding for a DNA to be performed including my case number on it..

Thank you.  We will work on getting DNA.  Not sure if you have the information but can you provide the location in Ghana where the boy can be taken or direct me to a proper website?

On the receipt of my DNA it was HOLY TRINITY CLINIC address on it, But you can use the AABB accredited centers for the DNA process though you guys are not recommended by the Embassy to do it, but I believe they have partnership with the HOLY TRINITY CLINIC so the best is to jump on the phone and talk to the clinic for better information.

  10. The best answer to your situation is DNA, you guys must first do  the DNA to find out if the child is really his or not? If it end up the child is not his then you talk to a good lawyer who knows much about immigration. Adoption will be another option but the whole process is very difficult, but one step first the DNA.

I did my DNA at the US Embassy in Ghana in May 2017 and the DNA is out saying am the biological father so am still waiting for the embassy to contact me.. But case is different from yours....

The entire reaffirmation process from the refusal at his interview to his next interview takes about 1 1/2 - 2 years unfortunately.

Ebunoluwa how are you doing? Just to confirm to you that i went for my DNA appointment on the 18th May and the result is out confirming that is a match. Though the embassy hasn't called me yet but the DNA center has given me the green light that the DNA is a match....Praying that everything goes smoothly for us....

  12. Ghanaian beneficiaries on this platform please comment. After DNA confirms it's a match, how long does it take the embassy to call? I know there are so many Ghanaian's who undergone the DNA test at the US embassy in Ghana. Please can you share your experience with some of us on here. Thank you...
