Hey everyone, it has been a while now since I was last here. I had the interview on Wednesday last week and we got approved. The highlight of it all was the fact that the CO officer never asked to look at any evidence i had carried. She simply interviewed me and approved the visa. I call this an highlight because I had been told that since am from Uganda, an African country and therefore high fraud, and since I had met my fiance only once after we started dating, the first time of meeting being in 2012 when we simply became friends, that somehow she had to be there at the embassy! But I made it thru so easily. Thank u everyone esp the guy who started the original thread ( I have forgotten his name since he disappeared), thank u Ash for starting part two, thank u Geo for keeping us sane when there were no approvals coming thru, and thank u everyone who has contributed on this forum. Visa in hand! It was fast. My interview was Monday, May 22nd. Visa issued on Wednesday, May 24, and I got my visa in hand on Saturday, May 27!! 
My fiance will travel to Vietnam for 2 weeks then we will go to America in Jun 16.
I hope everybody here will get an American flag quickly and easily! Have a nice weekend! Loves!!

We were not able to get our NVC MTL# until about 4 weeks from our NOA2 approval.  Apparently, Canada does things pretty slow.  Although, the process getting the packet 3, packet 4, scheduling the interview and the interview itself was pretty straight forward.

I'm in the same boat. NOA2 date of April 6, and NVC still hasn't received our case. I keep getting the "it could take up to 6 weeks", but I know (primarily due to everyone's timelines here) that it could take less. But now it's been 13 business days, and it's getting a little tiresome.
 
 

My was approved on March 29.  I don't understand how they work.  And I am getting a little bit tired of this.

I just called the National Visa Center and again they told me they have not received my case.  The lady said wait at least 30 days, so she recommended I call after April 29th.  I really don't understand why this is taking so long.

I am taking my time with the application, as I am in a wedding in September for my girlfriend, and we're traveling to Vegas for her bachelorette. All of this was decided AFTER I had applied for the visa lol, so all unexpected, but strategically planned from here on out. I hope you receive your NOA2 MUCH sooner than mine! 

LOL, I can't be. Of course, my fiance is none too pleased with this, but he accepted it lol (he had no other choice really haha)

Congrats from a fellow Canadian! Makes me nervous mine will take that long too 😅 But hope to see all the November and early December filers approved soon!!!
