Washington, DC CNN — Driverless trucks are officially running their first regular long-haul routes, making roundtrips between Dallas and Houston. On Thursday, autonomous trucking firm Aurora announced it launched commercial service in Texas under its first customers, Uber Freight and Hirschbach Motor Lines, which delivers time- and temperature-sensitive freight. PITT COUNTY, N.C. (WITN) - A Pitt County teacher and instructor at East Carolina University is in jail without bond after deputies say her husband was attacked with a hammer. Miranda Tolliver was arrested today for assault with a deadly weapon, communicating threats, and misdemeanor crime of domestic violence. (WTVM) - According to the Muscogee County Sheriff’s Office, 19 suspects, including a Georgia politician, have been arrested in connection to a multi-agency human trafficking operation. “It takes a sick individual to want to take away a right that a child has - and the freedom and the safety and the comfort that a child has - to bring harm to these children,” said Muscogee County Sheriff Greg Countryman. Officials say 32-year-old Carl Sprayberry and 18 other suspects are behind bars after a 4-day operation, from April 25 - April 28, focused on individuals engaging in sexually explicit communication with children on the internet, who arranged to engage in sex with a child, and to travel for the purpose of having sex. The Prairie Village City Council voted 8-4 to send a $22,900 donation to its Sister City in Dolyna, Ukraine for the purchase of drones. The western Ukrainian city of about 21,000 lies 300 miles from the capital of Kyiv. Dolyna officials want the drones, which are capable of delivering explosives in military operations, for humanitarian purposes. KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - The woman accused of stabbing a Kansas City Fire Department paramedic who was trying to help her has been charged with murder. The Clay County Prosecutor’s Office announced on Sunday evening that Shanetta Bossell, 38, of Kansas City, has been charged with murder in the first degree and armed criminal action as a result. The Kansas City Police Department says that just after 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, April 27, emergency crews were called to the area of 152 Highway and North Oak Trafficway with reports of a woman, later identified as Bossell, walking on the highway. Callers had been concerned for her safety. Responding officers said they located Bossell and ultimately requested EMS for further treatment.
