Did your cri-89 status change? And how long did it take from card being produced until you got it?
Nope, that status never changed. It took 10 days from getting the notification to receiving the card in the mail, you should get an update when the card is mailed with the tracking number. You'll also get an approval notice too which will most probably arrive before the card.

Hi there, Has your case ever transferred to other center?
Nope, my case never transferred and stayed at CSC until it was approved

It's real Congrats
Mine was like that too, changed to new card being produced without any approval notification first.
I'm so happy for you, I know you were so worried about this.

I find it incredibly hard to believe that USCIS would specifically question why someone didn't have children - especially in an RFE. My guess is that the wording of the RFE has been misinterpreted and misunderstood, I have seen plenty of RFEs posted on here and not one has been issued on the basis of not having children - however some RFEs have listed "Proof of any children born, birth certificates etc." as an example of further evidence, that was just one line though on what otherwise was a long list of evidence that could be provided. As what has been said before, it all comes down to the totality of evidence.
My husband and I are child free and not once have we been quizzed about not having children at any stage of the immigration process. We never put any explanations in our covering letter about why we are child free, nor did we receive any RFE from USCIS.

Does anyone know usually how long after an approval I would receive the card?
Mine was a different service center but I received my card 10 days after approval

I have seen ppl on here get approve without lease and tax returns.Guess it depends on their mood.Alot of ppl have been getting RFE
We got an approval without tax returns but we provided them with a lot of other documentation showing proof of financial co-mingling, including supporting documentation for why there was no tax returns (mainly copies of my husbands benefits statements from the VA)
It looks from one of your previous posts that you didn't send any bank statements or tax returns - might I ask what evidence you did provide?

Good news, we received the Approval Letter (with Statue of Liberty watermark) in the mail yesterday.
And received the 10-year Green Card by priority mail today.
Congrats, your card came pretty quickly.
Did your online status change with a tracking number when they mailed it? I noticed that I had a status change to say the card had been mailed, but no tracking number or anything. My approval letter arrived on Friday so I expect the card will be here sometime next week.

I have not gotten one so I cannot confirm if they are different between the app status (which feeds directly from USCIS main page) and what the email (which also comes from USCIS) says.
@Have2win though suggests that he sees it on the website status that it says “Request for Initial Evidence,” and so we all are surprised since a copy of green card is most certainly the first thing most of us put in the file we sent.
I had one during the AOS stage and the email I got from them and the USCIS website said Request for Initial Evidence.
I'm not sure why it's assumed to be a copy of the green card though, especially if that was already sent in the original package. They could just be looking for more evidence of a continued marital relationship - maybe something was missing, incomplete or not covering the time from marriage to the date of application.

Actually, it almost all case statuses I saw they all say “Request for Additional Evidence”.
On a case tracker app, that's correct. But the emails that come from USCIS appear to say Initial Evidence. That's why I mentioned not to worry too much about the wording

Yeah and its a RFE for INITIAL (not additional) evidence.
I think all RFE's say "initial evidence" so you shouldn't be too worried about the wording.
What did you send originally with your package?

Just had an email from USCIS around 40 minutes ago to let me know my new card is being produced I'm so happy that I cried!
CSC filer, WAC18044. No RFE, case didn't transfer.
Feel like a huge stress has lifted off my shoulders.
Hope everyone else gets their approvals soon!

No point wasting time to call USCIS, they will provide generic answers that it is taking 15.5 to 19.5 months and you can enquirer if you are out of your processing time.
The person who I spoke to was incredibly nice and helpful, didn't just give me the generic answer to be honest and put my mind at ease a bit. I don't consider that time wasted.

March 2018 cases are getting approved!
I have no words
Guess I'm going to navigate the USCIS phone maze to see if I can speak to a human

Honestly, it's actually pretty depressing watching January 2018 and February 2018 filers being approved whilst October 17 and November 17 are still waiting. I find myself avoiding this site for a while just because it stresses me out.
I've sat and imagined a perfect storm of issues for my case - stuff like they haven't updated my case on the site and sent an RFE but it didn't reach me because they forgot to put the apartment number on - worst case scenario stuff. I've come close a few times to contacting them but I've seen August, September and October filers in a similar position to me - where nothing happened on their case whilst everyone else was being transferred or approved - but they eventually get an approval out of the blue.
Maybe sometime soon...in the meantime, got to keep positive and carry on.

Hmm it’s probably true that if you don’t file n400 your case may not be transferred and you may not get a combo interview.
There have been quite a few October and November files who were transferred to TSC and NSC without having filed N400 - just to distribute the workload.

Any updates for the WAC180390 group?? This wait is giving me headache. I’ve been waiting for 14 months 🙄🤦🏾♂️ for ROC. I applied for n400 in November and case got transferred to NBC in December. I don’t know what to make of it.
I'm WAC18044 and still waiting. I didn't file N400, my case hasn't transferred anywhere so I'm just sat in limbo waiting for someone to touch it

No. My case was dead. Except for those local office transfers. Two and nothing until yesterday. Intrestingly enough all the cases around me +-20 each way were already done in early to mid January. So it was frustrating
I'm in the same situation (I'm a November filer). All the cases around mine have either been transferred or approved and I've just been sat here worrying and waiting. I completely understand being frustrated, I'm glad you've got an approval now. Gives me hope for my own case.

Finally, after 463 (more or less) days of waiting, my WAC18027 was approved. Weird enough, got the text message late at night, when they shouldn’t been working and the only case from my day that was processed on January 31. I didn’t file n400 yet, moved in Early November and have to wait till February 8 to file. So relieved. Good luck guys
Did your case ever get transferred to Texas or Nebraska?
Congrats on the approval

Anything for you? I got kind of bad news that my case transferred to Nebraska where wait time is like forever months. And most of the people are getting rfe
Nope, still nothing for me. Nothing has moved on my case at all.
I thought about calling them but figured they won't be able to tell me much more as the case is still well inside of processing time.

Another week of nothing for me - let's hope next week there is some news

I got a text this morning from uscis. We were issued an rfe. At least the case has been touched...I didn’t include my tax returns so I’m hoping that’s all that’s needed. I’d rather they just interview us & get it over with. We’re together every day, just don’t document everything. Originally I included some photos, bank statements, written affidavits, copies of our health insurance through my job...I can’t think of what else would work???
I'm thinking maybe they might ask for some kind of proof of joint property - like a property deed, or a lease. Did what you sent originally cover the entire period from marriage?

Yea, my case got approved last month and it was never transferred and I didn't file for citizenship. It just sat at California with no updates until it got approved.
