Sorry
but its not necessarily a bad thing. i would definitely post this question in your country specific forum on here to see if that's something normal that your embassy will do or at least to get some similar experiences from there because people answering from different countries may not help you since this question is really embassy specific.
I am talking about post-interview ,& at my interview CO DIDNT TOLD ME THAT I am approved but told me he is putting me in AP?
That's most concerning
-
are you talking about after the interview? if so...i think it's very country specific. my fiance was told on the spot that he was approved. after 2 days the status went to AP but only for like 10 minutes then the status changed to ISSUED. some people are in AP for minutes, some for days, weeks etc. it all depends on why they are reviewing it. I'm sure the constant update dates are a sign that something is being done with it but there's no way of really knowing if that's a good or bad thing until the status changes again. you should post this question in your country specific forum to hear other people's experience from your country. best of luck with everything.
I have a question I have applied k-1 visa ( if any one has other category visa also share experience regarding AP) How long is AP STATUS being updated on CEAC website ??
By saying that I mean I know it has to be in AP for several weeks ,months etc. but if the date changes often on CEAC website under AP STATUS ,is it a good sign & if some one know Or have experience to share that normally after how many date changing ..they finally see their status changed from AP to either APPROVED /DENIED ??

I had my visa interview today and we got approved
The whole thing took about 1.5 hours and she asked me 4 questions:
How did you and Kyle meet?
Is he still in the army?
What is his job?
How did he propose?
I was super nervous but everyone was really nice and helpful in Frankfurt

did they update your status on the USCIS website to say that they received your response?
Hi everyone! I'm checking the list of petitions and see that most of the couples get approved and get NOA-2 just in a few days or one week after replying on the RFE.
It's been like a month since our RFE reply and no news yet. Makes me worry, maybe there'e anything wrong with our case..
Is there anyone who's been waiting more than a month for approval after the RFE reply?
-
no. i didn't copy the back of mine.
Has anyone had an RFE for not photocopying both sides of the USC's birth certificate? The day after we mailed out I-129F package out, I realized that I had only photocopied the side with all the information on it.... the other side is completely blank...
Will they bother with an RFE considering there is nothing written on the back of the birth certificate? I'm sort of freaking out, because it was such a silly mistake... but it's beyond my hands now. :/

my fiance is at his medial right now (in brazil) and he had to bring 10 photos with him. not sure if it's the same.
for police records, he was able to get both (federal and civil) online and print them for free. if that's not available for your country, then you'll probably have to go to the police department and fill out some paperwork. i would allow some time for that because you never know how long it could take them to process it. maybe a couple weeks? he also obtained copies of his court records (nothing on them, but just got them as proof that he has no charges against him). for that he had to go down to the courthouse and fill out some paperwork. it took a week to get both.
good luck!

congrats, friend!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy for you!!!
:)
Hi all!! Just got back from Uruguay with my fiancé yesterday. POE was Miami. We waited in the visitors line for about 30 minutes before finally talking to the Immigration officer. I handed him my passport first and he stamped it fairly quickly. I informed him that my fiancé was traveling with me on a K1 and he asked me "how did you guys meet?" I just smiled and briefly summed up how we met. He then smiled and said congratulations. He took my fiancé's passport, asked her a couple of questions in Spanish and then asked us if we had the K1 Visa package. I handed the package to him and so he took both the package and my fiancés passport and then told us to wait by the wall until someone came for us. After about 2 minutes of waiting another officer came out and called my fiancé's name and told her to follow him. I then started to walk through the security doors behind both my fiancé and the officer when he turned around and asked me "who are you?" I responded "I am her fiancé". He didn't even blink and just turned around walked us through into a secure waiting area where other travelers were also waiting. He told us to find a seat and wait and walked away with both my fiancé's passport and the K1 package. After about 15 minutes another officer came out, called me by name and and then told us were were all set to go. He handed my fiancé's passport back to me and stressed the importance of getting married within 90 days and gave us instructions on getting in contact with immigration and apply for AOS once we did so. He then led us through another set of doors and off we went. So overall it was super easy. We were both like.. "That's it?" Granted we got in at 4:30 am, so its possible they were less busy or something.. Anyhow needless to say, we are now both back in the states and super happy!! The process is gruesome but wow, most certainly worth it. It was surreal seeing my fiancé sitting in the passenger seat of my car. Our cheeks hurt from all the smiling we did yesterday haha!! God is good! Looking back, we both agree that we wouldn't want everything that happened to have happened any other way..
I am praying for the rest of you and know God will see you all through! Making it through this process beings worlds apart is miracle and can totally relate how you all feel at every stage of this process.

RUSH!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO BE KIDDING MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! my blood is boiling about this! how the h e l l can they mess with peoples lives like this and then brush it off like it's NOTHING?!?!?! not even an apology?!?!?!?!!? wooooooowwwwwwwwwwwwww!! I AM SO SORRY this happened to you! but i am beyond ecstatic that you will FINALLY be able to move forward with the process!! i hope that it's something simple that can be resolved really quickly so you can move on! ughhhhhhhhhh just terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!
PHONE CALL RETURNED BY A SUPERVISOR - ASKED ME IF I HAD EVER RECEIVED AN RFE - REPLY - NO! - DATED APRIL 30TH HE SAID, BUT IT WAS NEVER SENT - THE LEVEL OF UNPROFESSIONALISM BLOWS MY F@#%$ING MIND - NOT SO MUCH AS AN APOLOGY, ONLY THAT I WILL BE RECEIVING AN EMAIL AND/OR HARDCOPY ON OR BEFORE 9/25 WITH AN UPDATED STATUS.
:bonk:

pictures are not a good source of "primary" evidence. they're good to include as secondary evidence but you need more substantial evidence. the passport stamp is good. include a copy of the visa, airline tickets, boarding passes, bank statements showing money being sent there...Anything (besides pictures) that can show you both in the sama place at the same time. ex: i had bus tickets for me and my fiance that actually had our names printed on them with the dates, times and our id numbers...so uscis had NO doubt that we were actually together in the same place.
i would say submitting some evidence from after the submission is fine, but also include more from before the submission. good luck!
FINALLY got our RFE!!!! Apparently my fiance's brother got the mail 2 weeks ago and forgot to let him know there was a letter there for him!! So, it says we need to include evidence of meeting, fiance thinks that he didn't date the photos correctly (shortening 2014 to '14, that sort of thing) so I just emailed him all the photos I have of us including (full) dates and locations, as well as my passport info page and the page with the stamp I got at customs when crossing the border. He is going to write another coverletter and in that will detail our meeting, how when where it happened and how often.
Are we allowed to include evidence dated after we submitted the initial I129F form? he sent the I129F the day before he came here to visit me and I have SO many pictures from that trip!

CONGRATSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! so happy for you both!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hi all - Just wanted to provide you all with an update on our interview last week. So my fiancé went by herself, I had planned to go but decided last minute to wait and go pick her when the visa is ready instead, and it went really smooth. She got through the whole thing no issues, except that.., don't ask me how, I forgot to include the Affidavit of Support (AS) form. So they handed her back her passport and white sheet of paper to return the following Thursday 8/27, with the (AS) form and her passport so they can begin processing the visa. Yes, it was bitter sweet but ultimately we are happy and moving forward with preparations for my visit and her soon departure.
The following day, last Friday, I emailed the Embassy with the (AS) form attached and a couple of more forms pertaining to financial support. I also asked if they can provide her an earlier date than Thursday. Well I got an email this morning letting me know that all the papers they received from me were sufficient and that all they needed was for her to bring her passport in on Wednesday 8/26, a day earlier. So we are super excited!! Best of luck to all still waiting, much prayers!
wow, i can't believe the day is almost here!! best of luck to you!!!!!!!
Hi guys! Haven't posted in awhile, thought I would update! I've been visiting my fiancé since the end of June and now we are in Montreal for my medical and interview. I had my medical today and it went great, I pick up my results Thursday afternoon and my interview is on Friday morning! Pretty nervous but hoping it will all go fine. I will keep you guys posted. Congrats to everyone moving forward with interviews and approvals!
-
oh mark, i am so very sorry to hear this news! i was so hoping that the rest of your journey would go smoothly after everything that happened a little while back.
is there no way to appeal the decision? is the only option to start everything all over again?
Thoughts and prayers for aileen and her family for the loss of her mother.
I am very very upset right now with the Philippine Embassy. My fiance failed her interview only because there were not enough printed letters between us. We started out emailing when we first met but then mostly used text messages after that. How can they say just based on that that we are not serious enough in love to get married? Now I have to pay another $1000 (her and her son) for another application plus medical exams again, plus trips to Manila again. Do you think her CO, a woman, may have had her own agenda? She also said I didn't have proof of my stay there with copies of my exit and entry stamps. I gave all that to NVC so why was it not given to the CO? Lots of questions. I am beside myself with anger. And to make matters worse the very day she gets rejected she finds out her mother passed away. A very very bad day.

what a relief! congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I called the Dos hotline to check on the status. Because we didn't know if we were approved or what was going on.
The lady was so nice and I found out he is approved!
I am just so happy to find out he is approved
I just hope everyone else gets your interviews and approvals soon
-
BEST OF LUCK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! please let us know ASAP how it goes!!!
Best wishes!! I will certainly be praying for you all! Our interview is also tomorrow!! I was originally going to go to the interview but last minute was unable to make it. My fiancé has all the documentation needed and she is on her way by bus to be there tomorrow. Please pray for us as well!

any updates yet??????
My fiance went in for his interview and they questioned him so much on how we met. We met on facebook, and they questioned so much about that.
They looked at some of his documents, but just kept questioning everything about facebook and how I got the money to go see him.
Then after everything, they handed him back his passport and gave him a white slip and the white slip told him to go back to the interview at 2pm.
That is in 2 hours.
I am really hoping he gets approved. I don't know what I'm going to do if he doesn't...... We are going to have a baby in December and I really need him here..
-
no problem!! i'm really glad for you! and yes...I'm SUPER happy to be *kinda* close to the end haha.
Thank you-- you're a lifesaver, shellymarie! Super psyched to be reaching the final stages, as I'm sure you are too!!
-
i'm sorry to hear that. unfortunately, all you can do is bring what you have. i think the worst case scenario would be that they might put you in AP (basically pend your application) and request more information if they need it. at that point, you can contact your co-sponsor and let them know you really need it. maybe that will give them the push to provide you with more stuff. but hopefully you won't even need it. best of luck. let us all know how it goes
Today was Biometrics for us... All went well but now I'm dealing with a major co sponsor problem...
They don't want to/ say they can't send us anymore documents than I have... All I have is the i-134, 3 pay stubs and 2 w-2 forms... The interview is tomorrow. I'm really stressing out now. -
congrats! no, you don't need an extension. the expiration just means that the interview/medical exam must take place before that date. you would have only needed an extension if your interview was scheduled for after that date. good luck!
So after almost two weeks of attempting to schedule an interview with the U.S. Embassy in Ankara...we finally have it set for Oct. 6! It's obviously later than we wanted but 50 or so days seems like a breeze compared to what we're use to.
Quick question for anyone that might know this— our I-129F petition expires Oct. 11. Do we need to seek an extension? I'm not entirely sure what that expiration date means exactly, so any feedback would be appreciated. Planning to contact USCIS to get more clarification.

fiance just scheduled his medical for September 2nd!!

lol! that is too funny! now you dont have to worry! just go ahead and do everything
congrats!
Thanks for the comments! The consulate must of been watching this forum because I just received the email from them that they received the application from the NVC!!! hehe

email the embassy. they might or might not give an extension, but it's up to them. can you just schedule the interview for a date after your fiance gets the passport but before the petition expires? good luck.
