  1. Has anyone here requested for I-751 card to be produced when the N-400 interview was approved at the same time? I was interviewed for both N-400 and I-751 back in March and got approved - my I-751 approval letter states that I won't be receiving a green card because I'll be scheduled for oath ceremony. I was scheduled for oath ceremony in March, but got cancelled because of covid-19. I'm wondering, with the uncertainty of the oath ceremonies, whether it's possible for me to ask USCIS to produce my green card since it has already been approved but they just haven't produced it yet?

Ok. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who's experiencing it. Hopefully they fix it soon as it is supposed to be an internal error.

  3. Does anyone else also have trouble with myaccount.uscis.gov? For the past few days, whenever I log in, I get a 500 Error message saying that the page that I'm looking for may not exist or is temporarily unavailable. I applied for N-400 last April (April 2019), have passed the interview, got scheduled for oath ceremony, which got de-scheduled because of the pandemic. Any thoughts/experience with this?

  4. Also quick question for everyone - did your online status change that the oath ceremony has been cancelled? Currently my online status on both DHS login and USCIS.GOV haven't changed (it still says Oath Ceremony Notice was Mailed and We scheduled your Naturalization Ceremony), but in my documents tab, I have the descheduling notice. Wanted to know if that's something that's supposed to change.

  5. Hi everyone - just spoke with USCIS officer who called me to let me know that my oath ceremony was cancelled. I asked her a few questions, which I think will be helpful (or maybe not) to this group:

    1. When will the rescheduling happen?

    - Not sure yet but as soon as the office opens back up to the public, they'll try to reschedule everyone who had a cancelled ceremony.

    2. Are we placed in the back of the line? or in the front of the line?

    - She said that everyone who got cancelled for their oath ceremony will be scheduled together as soon as possible - told me (my ceremony is in Manhattan) that there were few other ceremonies that got cancelled in addition to mine, so they'll try to reschedule us right away.

Understandably, it seemed like she wasn't sure what was going to happen.

I finally received an update today on my N400 🙂 saying that my oath ceremony will be scheduled !!! I’m so happy 💃🏻😄

not sure how the oath ceremony would work given gathering of large people is forbidden.

I did not get any update on I-751 though. Did you get an update about both cases?

    Yay! Congrats!
I got a similar message this morning.

did you figure out how the oath ceremony would work given the circumstances?

No I haven’t received any notices about cancellations but I am going to just assume that it will probably get cancelled and rescheduled. Where is your field office?

Status update: Monday March 9th - received notice that I-751 was approved. Today, March 12th, just got the notice that my oath ceremony has been scheduled/will receive notice. Hopefully things don't get cancelled because of coronavirus issues!

Just an update, got the oath ceremony letter - it's scheduled for March 27th! My hope is that USCIS will do the ceremonies in smaller groups of people. Hopefully it doesn't get affected. If it does, hopefully it gets rescheduled soon!

Just wanted to give an update on my N-400/I-751 combo interview at the New York Manhattan field office on March 4th. I applied for my N-400 in April 2019 and I-751 in April 2018.

My interview was at 9:25am - went with my husband just in case they'll do a combo interview. Waited for about an hour and the officer came and called out my number. We went up together, but the officer immediately told us that he is not going to conduct a combo interview and that this interview is only for the N-400. We were disappointed, but said fine. My husband stayed in the waiting area.

When I first went into his room, he asked for all of my documentation - my passport, GC, and driver's license/state ID. He had me do an oath to tell the truth, and then we had some small talk about how my I-751 has been pending for a long time (since April 2018). He then asked me for all of the evidence that I brought with me to show our 3-year marriage requirement, including tax returns, leases, bank accounts, health insurance, pictures, etc. I ended up giving him everything that I brought, which I think was well over 100 pages. Not sure how he had a change of mind, but the officer said that he'll actually adjudicate both I-751 and N-400. He mentioned how he saw that my husband was with me and it seems like I've been waiting for a while, so maybe those were the reasons why he changed his mind. Then we proceeded to the N-400 interview portion, where he asked me the 6 civic questions, English reading and writing test, and then asked me the Yes/No questions. He verified some details of the application with me (change in jobs, address, travel history, etc.) and then had me sign the things he made changes to.

After all of that, he gave me the N-652 and told me that he'll approve both I-751 and N-400. But in the N-652, it says that I passed the tests, but that a decision cannot be made. He told me (if I remember correctly now) that it will take about a week or two to approve everything, and that afterwards, it will take 3-4 weeks to get the oath ceremony schedule.

I'm thankful that I was able to do a combo interview and that the officer changed his mind mid-way through. My online status just changed to Oath Ceremony will be scheduled for N-400, so we'll see how fast they give me a date!

Slightly different situation, but I had my N-400 interview in NYC (Brooklyn field office) on Feb 13. The officer said they couldn't adjudicate I-751 as the file was in Vermont, but they did take evidence and ask questions about the marriage, so sort of a combo interview. I got notification yesterday that the I-751 has been approved, so exactly 3 weeks after the interview.

No notification on the N-400 yet, but I'd assume that will also change soon.

When you did the interview, did the officer say anything about future timeline (when you can expect a movement on either your I-751 or N-400)?

My question for everyone though is - if you had a combo interview, how long did it take you to get that approval/oath ceremony letter?

filed N400 in march with pending I-751

had interview in nyc 3 weeks ago.

took my hubby and additional evidence, we were interviewed together.

all went well. didn't say if case was approved or not. said need to do background check on 751

status online hasn't changed since we scheduled your interview for n-400 and for i-751 we transferred to new office.

anyone similar experience? i see most cases get online update the same day

Did you know before the interview that your interview is going to be a combo interview? My N-400 interview just got scheduled (Manhattan) and I have a pending I-751, but wasn't sure whether it will be a combo interview.

Also, did your status get updated/did you have your oath ceremony?

I had my N400 interview today.  I asked if it was going to be a combo interview because I still have I-751 open. He said no.
At the end of the interview, I passed the test but decision cannot be made because of pending I-751.  He had the file in front of him. He could have just reviewed it.  I asked if I was going to be interviewed separately for I-751. He said no more interview.

Which office did you interview at?
