  1. There was hardly anyone there when my husband went in. As far as I know for NM agencies in general though, going in Monday or Friday is not a good idea. Everywhere seems more busy those days. My husband went on a Thursday. A Tuesday or Wednesday might be ok too. He called ahead and they said he could walk-in as long as they had a tech that day.

Thanks for the info. Maybe we will call also and go on those days. What number did you call? Thanks.

  2. You don't need a green card to get a social security #. That's absolutely false. You definitely can get a social security # without a green card. I would try with another rep.

Some banks don't require a SSN. Having a passport # or Alient Registration # is sufficient (TD Bank for example)

Thanks that was Im trying to see but he is asking me the card. And we tried to open an account but it cant be also. We are just trying to get again.

Thanks..maybe we will go that bank and try.

  3. After we ot married we applied for my SSN but the guy told us there that they need first my green card before i get it. And we go to the bank today to open an joint account or to add me my husbands account but the Credit Union bank ask my SSN card which i dont have.

We are now preparing for the AOS.

What bank dind'nt ask for a SSN numer? we are in New Mexico.

    Thanks guys!

  11. Hello everyone! :)

My K2 and I got home a couple of hours ago from our interview. Except for the rain that poured very heavily the moment we got in front of the US Embassy, our overall experience was wonderful -- very smooth and easy. Rains are blessings after all. :)

"Everything looks good. Your visa is approved. You may go home and expect your passports in about a week." Those were the sweetest words I heard since the approval of our petition!

The photos nor the affidavit of support weren't even asked for and looked at, lolol. At least we have souvenirs and something to show our grandchildren, lol. My CFO is scheduled on January 5th and we plan to leave the country on January 28th. Hey, we might be in the same airport, who knows, lol.

Good luck with the rest of the process. And thank you so much for the support :) Aja aja!

    Congratulations.

Its advance xmas gift for us. Cheers!!Been scheduling my CFO the available slot is on 12th already. But i guess getting so lucky. When i checked it again this morning theres a Jan. 5th that open again.Wow!!I got it...Yes,Maybe will be my POE is Denver,San Francisco or Dallas.
