- that's what I think they would do but clarify upon renewal. Ofcourse when you have the new one it doesn't make any sense to use the old one.

i will check but the thing is, we already booked airline and hotel for him and both can't be reschedule because both were on sale..

I mean 27th of Aug. now instead of 7th of Sept. Oh,i see. Yes,so better to be there on the appointment date cause you have booked flights and hotel already.

Upon claiming of your renewed passport, they will cancel the extension of the old one. Renewed passport should be claim within 6 mos from issuance date.

What if they just delivered my passport?Upon releasing they automatically canceled it?sorry alot of questions.

Ok so we have our NOA1, NOA2, and received our letter from the US Embassy saying we are ready to schedule our medical and visa interview. The problem is our passport appt was the 19th of Aug, then they moved it to the 11th of Aug, then back to the 19th of Aug, and now they reschedule again for Sept 18th. We are at a standstill and cannot schedule our medical and interview until we get our passport. Are there anyways to get a quicker appt. For the passport??? Or to get it somewhere else???

We are both really disappointed but know this happens sometime. Any help regarding this situation is greatly appreciated!!! Thanks in advance!!!

Maybe check on the other branches again. Thats what i did.Did my appoinment Aug. 7 and they gave me Sept. 7. But yesterday i checked all branches at first not lucky tried and tried and when i go back to ASEANA branch theres Aug 27th. So click it immediately.

When i did mine was 7th of aug. And got 7th of sept. But yesterday i check all the branches again Still available dates are 24th of september already but i go back again to Aseana then i saw 27th of Aug. So i just click it immediately.

My appointment is Aug. 7th now. Got reschedule.Maybe you can check and see maybe you got an earlier date.

You can do the extension on Aug 27, upon renewal request for an extension of your passport. Bring some docs to prove that you need your passport for K1 processing.

You never know when your new passport will be released given the back log. With your extended passport validity, you can proceed to do medical, interview etc. Claim your renewed passport when it's ready, they will cancel your old passport extension.

On Aug. 7 i log on DFA appoinment system to renew my passport the earliest schedule they gave me is 7th of September in ASEANA And then just now i tried to get an earlier appointment been looking at different branches here in Manila and then suddenly theres theres Aug. 27th slot again in ASEANA branch. Just grab it quickly better than September.

Heard the news last night on renewing passport. Can i just go to any DFA branch?

Your baby is a U.S. citizen!!! U.S. citizens don't need a visa to enter the USA. So no to the interview and medical for the young USC.

I did my appointment Aug. 7 and the earliest date they gave me is Sept. 7 and i was wondering i choose mega mall but then i read the confirmation it says Aseana.I choose rush processing.

If CRBA is approved then you will only pay for your medical and your K1 visa fee.

If only i had a passport already, maybe i paid the k1 and k2 right away. Delayed sometimes are better i think. Hehehehe. .

Assuming there's only one child in reference here:

If the CRBA is approved then there's no need for the baby to undergo the medical and visa interview because he will become a US citizen with a US passport.

If the CRBA is denied, that's the time the baby will chase the K2 visa and do the medical and visa interview appearance.

When my fiance filed,he filed for k1 and k2. And now were processing the CRBA for my our son.

I thought that its a k1,k2 and CRBA.

Thank you so much. I will just wait the result of CRBA for my son before scheduling my medical and visa interview.

If your new baby boy is the one that you are doing the CRBA, he will not need a K2 visa. He will be a US citizen and will get a US passport.
