Same here. I also received an SRC# via sms yesterday. No sign of the email just yet. I doubt they will send it.

I don't think they will send you the email. As long as you have the SRC#, email no longer matters.. Just waiting for the paper I-797 to arrive in mail. I think we won't hear anything from USCIS till end of the year or early next year.. Current processing time is 6-8 months to get approval from USCIS..

Looks like our case turned into a "hot potato" - the DHS USCIS site gives two updates on May 16th: One that the case has been transferred and that office has jurisdiction and a second that the local office received the case.  (*Gulp!* The Dallas office is incredibly backlogged!)  Then, the DHS USCIS updated again on May 16th that the case has been transferred and that office has jurisdiction.

Since the USCIS has been doing a lot of shifting with the ROC cases, I am interested to see if the case was re-assigned to CSC or if the case was sent to TSC.  New ROC's are being sent to TSC, I think, so there is a chance that my husband's case could get assigned there?  Interesting...

I can understand why they sent your N400 back to TX since you have not completed your move yet. I can not understand why they transferred your I-751 back and forth since it does not have a residency requirement and any local office can approve it..

  3. Maybe NBC has not yet transferred your N400 to local office on the date of your interview.. I have seen a few people who had similar experience.. They may call you to let you know the date when it's available and make sure you don't miss the call, but a new interview letter should be posted under doc tab as well if you filed online.. I think there is nothing you can do about at this moment but wait...

See, that’s what I thought, too.  I figured the 90 days wouldn’t apply after the filing.  I believe that the rule is described in the Policy Manual the way the IO described, though.

As for how she knew that we didn’t complete the move, well, we were under oath, so we explained it when she got to the address part.

She did mention at the beginning that if he passed, the oath would occur around June and if that was okay for him.  My mom-in-law was in an accident back in Afghanistan.  Once he graduates next month, he needs to go back, which the ticket is in June.  So hopefully things still workout.

We tried changing the address online last night, but the system was saying that the receipt number didn’t match with the form number.  So something might have happened?

not sure what will happen on N400,at least you have 10 year green card for now.. wish you the best

    Hello Everyone,

My husband had his USC interview this past Tuesday.  Unfortunately, we didn't complete the move, so we didn't meet the 90 day requirement for the citizenship.  The IO was very nice and conducted the ROC interview with us.  She asked if we had any additional evidence to add, to which I gave the 2018 tax return, and started going through insurance (medical and life) policies.  The IO mentioned that we gave a lot of evidence during the initial mailing and said that what we had should be enough.  I let her know that two of our bank accounts are still joint, but one account is now separate; she didn't seem to have a problem with that.

She said she would approve the ROC, but would need to transfer the USC case back to Dallas since we didn't complete our move.  She did mention that if we had completed the move, they would have re-scheduled the interview to a few months down the road to meet the 90 day residency requirement, which I thought was very helpful.  She was planning on stamping my husband's passport, since his GC shows an expired date to help prevent from having to carry around the letter.  But then she decided not to since she will be approving the case and he should receive his 10-year before a trip out of the country in June.

I was hoping to receive a notification that day, but we didn't get anything.  The DHS/USCIS USC case updated to a transferred notification, but the USCIS case did not update.  So now we are back in limbo.  I have a theory that the IO may have approved the CR-89 case, which we don't have.  Now we wish we had asked for the I-751 stamp, but in the worse case scenario, the extension letter is still effective until September of this year and we should know something by May.

We called USCIS, but tier two reps weren't taking any more transfers for the day.  The saga continues into next week.  We kept the mailing address as my mother's address, (the one we were going to move to temporarily) and updated the physical address with the IO.  My brother-in-law had a horror story about trying to get his daughter's GC delivered to their address, so I don't know if we are going to be facing that or not.  Best case, we should be finished with ROC by May 2019; next month.  Worst case, we will have no idea of his ROC before he travels out of the country in June....

Concurrently, given the Dallas processing time, we don't expect to think about the citizenship interview until October 2019, but realistically, will have the interview in January - February 2020.

my question is how IO knows that you have not completed the move from TX to AZ? Is 90 days residency rule only matter when you file N400? It seems like you have to live in the same district for 90 days where your interview takes place rather than where you originally filed N400..

Okey so i got my I-751 approval notice the other day came from lee summit, then today i recieved a transfer notice from laguna niguel ca.  So i check my status from approved to your case has been transfer to another office .. is tgis normal? Kinda wierd approval then it was transfered

If you case is really approved, you should receive your green card soon.. It may be a false alarm but you don't know till you have your green card on hand..

  7. Once you become a U.S citizen and go to SSA to update your status from permanent resident to U.S citizen, you will be given a chance to replace your current social security card but it doesn't hurt you if you choose not to .

'Valid for work only with DHS authorization' on social security card means nothing since you have to present with either your green card or U.S passport to prove that you are legal to work in U.S anyway. Even you have no "'Valid for work only with DHS authorization'" mentioned on the social security card, you still need your GC or U.S passport.

I've looked everyone on the bio letter for this CR-89 number, I just don't see it. Either I'm blind or it's just not there. Where exactly is it on the letter?

See below screen shot regarding my wife's two receipt # for I-751 & CRI89.  First one is for CRI89 as I mentioned that it will never change and 2nd one is for I-751 which shows all updates till it's delivered at our mail box. On ASC APPOINTMENT NOTICE,  under CASE TYPE, our letter mentioned two case I751 - CRI89 and under APPLICATION/PETITION/REQUEST NUMBER SHOWS two receipt # as well..

    Case Was Received

On December 7, 2017, we received your Form CRI-89, Petition to Remove Conditions of Permanent Resident Status Received, Receipt Number EAC1805xxxxxx, and sent you the receipt notice that describes how we will process your case. Please follow the instructions in the notice. If you do not receive your receipt notice by January 6, 2018, contact the USCIS Contact Center at www.uscis.gov/contactcenter. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

Card Was Delivered To Me By The Post Office

On March 22, 2019, the Post Office delivered your new card for Receipt Number EAC1807xxxxxx, to the address that you gave us. The tracking number assigned is xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx. You can use your tracking number at www.USPS.com in the Quick Tools Tracking section. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschangeto give us your new mailing address.

  9. If you look at the bio letter, they actually have two receipt #s for I-751 and CR-89.. CR-89 will only show the date when USCIS received your package (never changed after that) and I-751 will show all those updates till your new card is delivered. The problem I used to have is that the receipt # for I-751 hadn't become available till a few months after I-751 was received by USCIS.. If you change your address, you cannot take the receipt # for CR-89 because they have no CR-89 in the system. If you take receipt# for I-751, it will not be valid because you have just filed your I-751 as per your time line and I think it will take some time for the I-751 receipt # to be shown/valid on USCIS website..

Had my Oath Ceremony today. Can’t believe my immigration process is finally over. I am officially a U.S. citizen! (Should I mention I never received 2ns GC)

I think I feel empty inside because I got to use living with everyday checking status/mail/etc. I’m even not sure how to live without it lol

I want to thank everyone of you for your advices and support! I wish you all go over it very soon. Patience and good luck to you all!

    Thanks VJ!

maybe you can stay here and help those who have concerns about their path to U.S Citizenship..
