Hi Everyone,
Quick question. My mother was diagnosed with breast cancer in the Philippines. She refused to get treatment in the Philippines and she rather come here in the U.S to do it. 5 of my siblings resided here and we will do anything to get her treated ASAP. I'm US citizen and I submitted her I-130 today. I wonder if it's possible to expedite her case as her condition is chronic and need treatment right away. How long do you think it will take?
Thanks,
Mariane

Hi all! Thank you for responding! We sent out our missing documents to US Manila Embassy on Jan 22 and they received it on Jan 26. When I checked the status again, they issued the visas on Jan 29. It was pretty quick but yes, you're absolutely right the timelines for admin processing cases varies.

Hi everyone!
I was googling around to find timelines of some cases that was issued with 221g at US Embassy Manila. I could not find any that are recent so I decided to create this topic. Here's my case.
I have two brothers that are over 21 but are considered IR2 because of the CSPA. Their interview was last Dec 27,2017 but unfortunately, they were issued 221g asking for proof of relationship between the applicant and petitioner. We have not submitted any documents yet but I would like to find out if anyone had this issue before and if you could tell me how long was the processing time after you submitted the missing documents until your visa was issued.
Regards,
Mariane

Thanks for the response! I was just hoping that I can find someone here with the same situation. I'm not sure if dad will file again since my brother is now happily contented. We are just hoping that he can join us here.
-
Thanks @geowrian
At the time, our dad filed for my sister and my brother. Luckily, my sister's case went to NVC and was on F1 at first but then became IR2 after the CSPA law was passed. I just don't understand why my brother's did not make it to NVC. Per Uscis status check, his case was approved on Nov 1998.
-
Well, USCIS asked for more supporting documents for a benefit that my brother can get (I'm guessing it's the CSPA law) and since my dad relocated a lot, he did not get any of the letters that USCIS sent. Thus, USCIS denied his case.

Hi all,
I just want to share a story and see if anyone here has the same situation as my brother.
Our dad petitioned my brother who was 20 yrs old at the time (1998). Our dad relocated a lot and was not able to update his mailing address at USCIS. My brother's case was denied in year 2004. My question is, is it too late to file an appeal for his case? If we are to file again, it will take at least 15-10 years before his priority date becomes current even though he is not yet married and my dad is a US citizen.
PS: My brother is in the Philippines and still not married but lives with his long time gf together with their 13 years old son.

Hi all,
I am currently processing 2 cases (IR2) for both of my brothers who are in the Philippines and I am their choice of agent. I paid AOS and IV last July 14. One of my brother already finished filling up IV (July 19) while the other one is still waiting for IV to become available until now. I already submitted all of their necessary documents (AOS and supporting documents) on July 18. I am hoping that their interview date will be the same. It will be much easier for them to travel together since the Embassy in Manila is 2 hours away by plane.
Do you think they will set their interview with the same date?

Just an update guys!
June 27- ISSUED
yay!!!!

Hi guys! Just an update that might help some of you. After the hardware failure that affected all over the world, we finally got a good news. My sister is under IR2 and shes already 35. Yes, and it's a long story. Anyways, she was lacking Cenomar when she went to her interview. Consul put her on AP after that. Us Embassy Manila worked this weekend to clear up the backlog. How did I know? Cause my sister's visa went from AP on friday and then issued on Saturday.
June 5- Interview day (status went to AP)
Document missing was submitted the same day
June 6- AP (i guess they received the missing doc)
June 15- AP (i'm guessing that her paperwork was moved to a different department or what not)
June 26- AP (I think they are putting all the documents and also printing the visa)
June 27- ISSUED
I think I missed the "READY" status before it went to AP again and then issued. I hope everyone gets theirs soon.

Update:
June 27- ISSUED
That only means that they worked on a weekend. Us Embassy Manila are trying to clear up thw backlog. I know someone that had an AP and now changed to READY
Goodluck to everybody!

Hi guys! An update on my sister's status
June 5-Interview (missing cenomar)
June6-AP
June15-AP
June 26-AP
June 27- ISSUED
I think i missed the ready update but oh wells. I'm so happy

My sister was missing a CENOMAR. She requested it and Us Embassy Manila are the one who picked it up the same day that she had her interview. Until now, still under AP
June 5- Interview (READY and no 221g form but needed to request Cenomar to be picked up by embassy itself)
June 6-AP
June 15-AP
June 26-A
Anyone who has the same situation?
-
Yes she is approved. Non-immigrant visas including K1 has been restored and back to issuing visas again according to travel.state.gov
Statuses that was under AP will remain AP but then will change to READY to ISSUED when approved. Good luck! So happy for both of you

Manila has just been reconnected, but no change of status as of yet when I checked our case at CEAC. I got nothing also when I tracked my wife's passport. Just like what has been suggested earlier, please continue to share any updates on your case here especially now that 39 posts of the Bureau of Consular Affairs have already been reconnected. It would be really nice to see someone post, "I got my visa!!!" for a change.
I just checked the US Embassy manila's facebook and they are stating that non-immigrants are now back to scheduling interviews and printing visas. They didn't mention anything about immigrant visas. So frustrating, I've been waiting for my sister's visa since her interview last June 5.

Congrats! When was your interview?
-
Awesome! Congrats! My sister is still on AP since her interview last June 5,2015. They requested her CENOMAR, she went ahead and submitted it the same day. Her date changed to June 06 theb June 15 and I'm hoping we're on the same boat.
I just sent an email to them if what's the real deal. Anyways, congrats! Keep us posted of when did your fiancé recieved the visa.

Hi guys, mine is for my mom she passed her interview on 6/11 but until now whenever I check the ceac web it still says "READY" no update since 6/11. I already called and emailed the embassy but not sure if the visa system issue is fix. So, I guess we are stock here. I am worried that her medical will expire in a month and no visa issue in hand
. I am so dying to get her here...
Hi!Your status is more re-assuring than mines. Atleast you know that your visa is ready for printing. Mines is still under AP
-
what's your ceac status when its updat? mine updated frequently last week changed from ap to ready "for interview". its the same status since Jun. 19, I got ap coz of nbi aka.
Mine was updated last June 15 and still remained in AP

Hi guys! I just want to create a forum for those applicants who has been waiting for their visa to be issued since the glitch. My sister is in that current situation right now. Let's keep everyone updated
Consulate: Manila,Philipppines
Category: IR2
Status: AP (CENOMAR missing. Document missing was sent the same day at the time of interview)
Interview Date: June 5,2015
Last Update: June 15,2015

According to all the websites they are not printing any visas in Manila at this time.
manila.usembassy.gov/ has all the information, I do not know when this was updated, but it is worth reading.

Aw, that sucks. Are you waiting for your visa to be issued as well?

Hi guys!My sister had her interview last June 5,2015. CO told her to request for a CENOMAR from a nearby NSO which is in Asay City. She requested it the same day when she had her interview and her case was updated the next day which is June 6 2015. Since then, her status is still under AP. Has anyone had this situation? How long did it took for your visa to be issued? My sister's visa category is IR2. Thanks in advance!

I sent out both the AOS and supporting docs at the same time while waiting for the IV fee to be invoiced. NVC takes about 30 days to review your docs so save some time while waiting for the IV fee.

We submitted the copy and brought the originals at the interview
Expedite I-130 for ill mother
in Bringing Family Members of US Citizens to America

Thanks for your informative replies, everyone! Knowing that it is most likely impossible to expedite my mother's case, she finally agreed to get treated in the Philippines.
Hopefully her case moves fast so that all of us can take care of her here soon. One of my siblings will be going home to assist her with Dr. appointments and what not.
I am confident that she'll get better soon so I'm not worried. Thanks again, everyone!
