  1. Gosh, I really wish I could meet my guy in Dubai again and fly back here with him! If we would have been in TSC, I would have had the time to save up for my ticket, and maybe some days in UAE before coming to Dallas. But now that money needs to go to AOS fees and probably tuition. We haven't let ourselves indulge in arguing when he should come because we don't know if he will face AP after the interview and he also needs his transcripts for his classes he's in now.

It's always one step at a time without knowing what will be at step two - but I am such a contingency planner, I can't help but to think of all the possible obstacles - even if it's an AP time that will make me buy a ticket to Dubai for myself!

That's smart though because you're prepared for anything that might happen!

  2. I LOVE this sharing of what everyone's plans are once our significant others arrive! I'm planning to go to Morocco this summer as soon as my semeter obligations finish up and we're REALLY hoping to fly back together before I start up again in August. If so, a Justice of the Peace wedding and for sure - DISNEY!!!! I'm just hoping it's past Ramadan because I don't want to drag him through the ridiculously hot parks if he's fasting, lol! And the Disney food - oh my gosh, yes, it will HAVE to be after Ramadan! Then time to meet the new american family who are all scattered around this beautiful country!

  3. Yes, I called USCIS (twice) and the NVC. The USCIS says, "Don't bother us again! We have 90 days to transfer the petition!!!!!!" and NVC says "Please try us again after 35 days after the NOA2 date, thank you and have a great one! :) "

I know there is an email address we can contact after the 35 days, and some have had to call USCIS and speak with a tier two person to ask for a service request. I am also trying to be patient, and I won't stir the pot until after May 12th.

I asked how often CSC sends their cases to NVC, but that information is not readily available.... I'm sure it save American taxpayers money somewhere in this process. (But then again, doesn't my petition fee include the cost of transferring the case?)

Yikes! Wow, California, hahah! I thought they were laid back out there. ;)

  4. Is there a place on VJ where they list number of notices getting NOA2?

Yes, if you go to Immigration timelines and click the left arrow on the NOA2 column, it will list them in date order starting with the most recent. Then looking over at service center you can see that a lot of the September TSC petitions went through to NOA2 status.

Hahah, hopefully the Cali folks just had a little break and will be back to normal speed next week! But, really, I AM happy for the TSC folks, it stinks for ANY of us to wait so long when we just want to know when we can plan our weddings!!!!

  5. Ack, I haven't been able to see anything since the date changed from 3/26 - the NOA1 to 4/1 - no idea what that reflected, maybe its arrival at CSC? So I thought, ok, just for kicks, I'll call and I got the standard, status for this case number cannot be found in this automated system at this time...please make sure the number is correct, etc. So, is this the same message people are getting when they call?

  6. Hey everyone!

I'm confused about the USCIS website. When I go to click on my case number it just goes to a screen that says "my" in script and nothing else except boxes down below under "Related Tools." Is this normal? Is it supposed to say anything? I'm so paranoid by all the stories that I'm just worried something is wrong, lol. I have GOT to stop reading these forums. hahaha!
