hehe i felt that way too! My fiance wanted me to wait woth it all till we for sure knew the embassy had it so i wouldnt mess up the process steps. But after advice from fellow scandinavians i took my chance and did the form and interview booking. So in a few days you guys can do the same ❤️Yess so glad medical is over. Got two vaccinations, tetanus and measle one since i missed one as a child lol. And xray and bloodwork. So now its all just about one more wait. And my fiance is coming on saturday!! I feel blessed!! Sending good blessings and love out to all of you still hanging in there ❤️

That is so awesome!!!!! Are you going to travel to the States together then? That's what I'm trying to do - when he gets the interview date, I'll head over there so that we can have a celebration with his family, then come home! Assuming, of course that he gets approved! hahaha!

No need to freak. You'll get a notice in the mail with your AOS invoice #. Maybe that's the 'packet' they alude to. Once you get that, you can finish up your ds261 'choice of agent', and fill out your aos form. Start getting all of your documents together. Give it about a week after you pay your aos fee, then call the NVC again and have them review your ds261. Once that's done, you'll be able to pay the IV fee. You can send in the AOS/IV packet anytime now. Follow the guides and prepare to sit on your hands waiting!!! Fun stuff!!!

After we got our number it still took almost a week before they sent it and embassy got it. I wouldnt worry at all. The processing pile is just so he wont promise you a certain date it will be shipped off at for sure. Just go to ceac tracker and add ur new number and follow it there. It will say at NVC for maybe a few days. And then go to " in transit" and the. Ready. Best advice i got is just check ceac tracker ❤️Camilla

I got my case no. Through NVC on 4/30 my petition still there what they said there's no timeframe to send to U.S. embassy so at least you got your case no. Hold tight

I just got my Case Number from NVC on the phone from a nice gentleman there, but he said the packet hasn't been sent out yet and it is undergoing "processing" but he didn't know what that might mean. They just got the packet on Friday from CSC so I didn't know if that was just standard speak for "we're getting it ready to go into an envelope" or if there is a red flag somewhere and it got rerouted. Does anyone have any ideas before I officially start to freak out? Lol. Thanks!!!!

Just got off the phone with NVC and we have a number! But he said that it's going through some sort of processing but he didn't know what that was - he said they don't tell them that. It hasn't been sent out yet. Does anyone know what this processing could be? Now I'm freaked! ACK!!

OK, this might be a stupid question. But, how do you know that the NVC received your package? Just call them?

Not a stupid question at all. I called them exactly 2 weeks after receiving the NOA2 text and it had just arrived. Now I'm waiting (impatiently) for the next number to be assigned so I can start tracking it!

No number yet from NVC and I think I spoke with the same woman who was a bit miffed at me last time hahaha! Oh well! She gave me the same spiel that it takes 4 weeks to enter into the system there at which time they will send all parties involved notification, blah, blah, blah. I'll try again tomorrow!

And from there on it will be sent the same day or next to your embassy! So youre almost there!! I wish the rest of the March filers were too. I hate seeing the difference CSC made. We got lucky and after us the kinda stopped giving the NOA2. I hope soon for everyone it will start rolling. Today i read someone from TSC is still waiting, 300 days later ?❤️ Not okay at all!! love to them and you guys❤️

Wow, that's crazy! Thank you, I will call them Monday. Do I tell them the WAC number and ask them if there is an embassy number asigned to it? And I know, it's so sad the discrepancies in the wait times - I really hope things speed up for everyone too!!!

Just got off the phone with NVC - they received our packet from CSC today and it's in pre-sort!!!!!!! So two weeks - not bad!!!! So now how long does it take to get entered and for us to get the next number I wonder?

You have some time since you are at the NOA2 stage. You can either wait to get through to a human at the IRS line (I need to call them too) or do the assistance center. If you have the ex's SSN, the you can use the Form 4506-T to get them mailed. The IRS phone line closes at 7pm.

You are having problems because his SSN was probably used as primary (listed first) taxpayer.

I'm glad I started early though because I don't know how long it will take, lol! I do have his SSN because I have a copy of this year's, from TurboTax. So I'll try to find a service center here in Boca and see if they can help me! Thank you!

Time to go to the IRS building nearest you. Here in my area you can go to the local office, draw a number, and wait to talk to an agent.

Oh goodness. I tried to go online and order transcripts online - well they have an account tied to my SSN which of course is linked to his email and I had no idea the password. Okay, so I called the IRS to get copies of the transcripts and it was all automated, couldn't talk to a humanoid. I put in my SSN and the street address where I live now. Of course I wasn't in the system because my ex filed for us together electronically from his address. So I called back and put in his (my old) address. Ok, good it's there. But they said transcripts were unavailable from 2012, 2013 and 2014. What??? So the robo voice asked if I wanted copies of the account information from these years. I said ok and they said those would be there in 5-10 days. BUT THEY'RE GOING TO HIS ADDRESS! YIKES!!!! Now what?

Why do people have to be like that? I also have an uncooperative ex that will be a pain in the backside just for the sake of being a pain in the backside. Sometimes you need to get creative to do and end around and get things you need.

In this situation, I would just contact the accountant that did the taxes and get a copy. If you/he did them online using something like TurboTax, I'm not sure how you get a hard copy, especially if he has the login info.

This is exactly the case - he is very difficult to work with. And yes, he did them all online using TurboTax and I have no idea what the login info would be I do have this year's copy, but getting the past 2 may prove really hard.

Oh dear, I hope one year of tax returns is enough - my ex has all the previous years and it would not be an easy thing to get from him.

Anyways I just checked my status, and im getting the same msg like most of u received or I rather say no msg at all lol.. for me it shows the last update 13/4, but today the update change to 27/4, is anyone encounter this? Does it mean that someone is working on our case now?
