Thanks guys!
The situation at our sponsor's hasn't changed, still the same job.
Does he need to give new pay stubs or just the tax return?
-
I remember that my husband had to send a photo too.
-
We had a sponsor because my husband was a student and didn't make enough in 2002, 2003 or 2004.
In 2005 he was employed and made enough.
For our interview, do we need an updated affidavit? The receipt of our filing was Jan 4, 2006
And if so, who has to do the new affidavit?
My husband?
Our sponsor?
Thanks a lot!!!

Maria I would make an infopass appointment and get emergency ap. At the appt I would ask the immigration officer if there is anything you can do to have an extended stay outside the usa while the I-485 is being processed. I take it you can get proof of your mother's condition? Have her fax a doctor's note to you? The national customer service center line is not always the best place to get information, that's why most vjer's call it the "misinformation line". I wish you the best!
It's an excellent advice, that's exactly what I would do.
Worst case scenario - abandon your AOS, go to Italy and take care of your mom, and the transplant, it's the most important. $395 is nothing compared to your mom's life at stake.
Good luck with all this, be strong, things will get better!

Don't worry and panic, even if you receive the RFE.
I got one and mine has delayed the process by 2 weeks only.
Good luck!

Lol, you people are either very creative or very bored
I'm just kidding, I enjoy reading these poems
I was surprised that I came up with it myself.
Well, I guess I am very anxious...
-
well, mine took 3 weeks after the bio appointment
-
great to hear!!!
I remember how happy I was when I got my AP!!!
-
CONGRATS!!!
I disagree with you though, noone should pretend anything because there are cameras.
I don't think we will be hugging right before the interview, I will be stressed.
We will be natural.

A friend of mine had her interview in Manhattan and they didn't tell her the result either.
She had the interview end June and got her green card beginning of September.
Good luck!!!

i have just entered on the AP document.
They took me to the separate room.
The whole thing took 3 seconds, they didn't check anything.
As long as you have been legal all this time, you're fine, that's all what they care about.
Don't worry about the 2 months.

You'll get what you want, great things happen to great people!!!

my paperwork took exactly the same amount of time - 5 months.
I filed end Dec and our interview is end May.
Good luck on your interview!!!
I wouldn't bother with the AOS, AP, etc. just be happy your interview date is so soon and you'll be able to work and travel beginning of June!!!

Yes, I crossed the border, coming back to NJ yesterday.
No problems but I'm sure the whole event will show up as a dream nightmare one day...
First of all I have been always legal here.
They took me to the separate room, escorted by an officer who had my passport and my AP in a folder. In that room there were people, who were nervous, some crying, babies crying and some people arguing after getting a piece of paper of not being admissble to the US.
Eventhough my case took only a couple of seconds and a couple of words : "you can go now", no questions, no requests I found this whole experience terrible.
It was way worth my great trip to see my family...
-
Congrats on your smooth approval!!!
-
Hi Me again!
When i was gettin my stuff together for the AOS i am sure that you needed to get 2 photo's for the I-485
And 2 photo's for something else what do you need the other 2 photo's for???????
I think it's 7 of you and 1 of your husband

You're a passionate couple, that's what's supposed to be. The make-ups are great after all. I once had it at my psychology class that if there are no fights in a ralationship, it means there's something wrong!
-
Congrats, Jay. I have just read your story on the off the topic forum.
I'm glad things are working out for you, you deserve it, you seem to be a reat person!!!
