    Good morning everyone

Our submit date was July 18. We received our social security and EAD within 30 days.

February 25th we received notice that the Adjustment of Status was approved. We did have an RFE that we sent in quickly in January. No interview.

No update on travel document. I’m assuming  because the green card was approved, the travel document is no longer necessary?

Yeees no need for travel document!!! Congratulations

    Hello Everyone,

i received a notification from case tracker saying…

( CASE APPROVED) On February 19, 2023, we approved your Form I-485 !!!!

    does it mean no interview??

is the green card going to be sent soon ??

    Thank youuuu

Also I got the approval notice from Myuscis….I guess they work on Sundays 🤔….Interesting.

for a second i thought it’s some glitch on Case tracker app because i was thinking how can a case be approved on a Sunday!! Lol

    Update on our I-485 application.

USCIS emailed the Online Access Code.

We were able to download the biometric appointment notice at myUSCIS at the nearest Application Support Center (ASC).

The scheduled biometric may not be the best date, and I am considering rescheduling.

    BUT.. It says:

"IF USCIS DOES NOT RESCHEDULE YOUR APPOINTMENT, YOUR APPLICATION, PETITION, OR REQUEST WILL BE CONSIDERED ABANDONED AND DENIED."

Has anyone ever heard of anyone being denied rescheduling?

Or anyone have had experience rescheduling an appointment with the ASC?

Ideally, we like to request a certain date, but will USCIS just assign us a scheduled date of their choice, which may not be any better for us?

They will just reschedule any date is good for THEM and sometimes can take months before they reschedule it ! If i were you i would just try my best to go on that same date that they have already gave me or i would try to do an early walk in.

What do you mean by "Early Walk-in Biometrics"? Were you given the option to do the biometrics sooner than originally scheduled for? How did you set that up? I live 4 hours away from the USCIS field office, the sooner I could go the better lol

U can just walk in and try your luck. But if I have to drive 4 hours to try that... I would preferably  wait for my actual date.

    Thanks for the response.

Still no access code letter here, nor biometrics.

And still no response from first inquiry for access code.

When I tried to file another inquiry, it said to wait 30 days from last action, which was the Notice date.

One thing I did notice on the I-797C is that the Priority date box is blank. And the letter states, "If this notice contains a priority date, this priority does not reflect earlier retained priority date." So what does it mean if the Priority date box is empty?

The I-797C letter also states, "If we determine you must submit biometrics, we will mail you a biometrics appointment notice with the time and place of your appointment." Is it possible that if the foreign beneficiary had her fingerprints and pic taken at the consulate and at the Port-Of-Entry, then USCIS can use those as biometrics? And no need to do another biometrics?

The nearest field office here wait is like 500+ days. But since our receipt numbers started with IOE*, I'm assuming our case being handled electronically is different? And we never got the G-1145 notifications even though we got the I-797C in the mail?

I saw some posts where ppl said that they didn’t need to do biometrics since it was taken before in consulate. But honestly i don’t know if not having priority date on letter means anything.

Okay are there any other K1-to-AOS applicants that got your Online Access Code?

I'm thinking the K1 filers will not get one as this one post explained?

    https://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/723885-dos-case-id/?tab=comments#comment-9934357

But I thought I saw some other K1 filers get an Online Access Code mail, or was I mistaken?

Still didn’t receive any access code!

but we received the notice mail yesterday only 3 mails.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Hopefully the electronics processing is faster.

However we still have not received the Online Access Code mail, so we can't add the receipt numbers to the myUSCIS account.

Even though our I-797Cs are from the USCIS Office Lee's Summit, MO, I assume is the same as the Kansas City, MO site for the purpose of seeing the visajourney stats page?

    https://www.visajourney.com/timeline/aosstats.php

Our nearest office should be Atlanta, but still waiting for the Biometrics mail?

You should chat with Emma. Tell them you didn't get your access code and they should create another for you. They will send it to your email.

    Greetings July AOS Filers,

We are filing AOS from K1 (see our Timeline). So far we have:

2022-07-09: Sent via FedEx. Adjustment of Status I-485/I-864, I-765, I-131

    2022-07-12: FedEx signed. AOS delivered.

2022-07-15: AOS Check Cashed. No e-Notification even though we submitted G-1145 for all 3 forms.

    2022-07-19: I-797C Notice of Action for I-485, I-131, I-765 received in mail.

2022-07-12: I-797C Priority Date (Received Date)
                        2022-07-14: I-797C Notice Date I-485, I-131, I-765

All 3 of our I-797C NOA1s are from the National Benefits Center in Lee's Summit, MO, even though we sent it to the Chicago lockbox, and our local USCIS office is most likely Atlanta.

All 3 receipt numbers begin with IOExxxxxxxxx.
We are still waiting for the access code mail, and biometrics instructions.

Are there anything else we need to be doing or looking for?

Having receipt numbers that begin with IOExxxxxxx means that your application is going  to be processed online... it’s a good sign. Usually they move faster with online applications.

If you dont have a uscis account u should create your own and add those 3 numbers to it.

  12. Hello July 2022 AOS filers another month another round of AOS submissions,  Please be aware that this checklist is NOT all inclusive and you must consult the USCIS website to crosscheck this checklist against/with. The AOS process has been confusing since the pandemic hit, not to mention the added politics. So please I want to stress that you only use this check sheet as a starting point and guide if you will. The USCIS site will be the final guide. Please ensure that you check your forms for the correct versions and editions because if you use the wrong forms USCIS will reject your application and send it back to you. This is easily checked on the USCIS website prior to downloading your forms. You should also ONLY download your forms from the USCIS website.  The current and correct fees can also be ascertained from the USCIS website

    AOS Checklist

    • Check Payable to U.S. Department of Homeland Security - $1,225.00 (this includes the Bio-metrics fee

Be sure to double check for the current fees as fees do sometimes increase and they can change on a dime so please check. Additionally, check the forms as listed above i.e., current version and or edition date, there have been many changes to various forms. Consider sending tax transcripts instead of the 1040, and W2's. Also consider preparing a cover letter for each form in addition to the main cover letter.

Make sure you send long form birth certificates and not the short form.  Hope this helps in your preparation of your AOS. When in doubt ask questions.

Please consider filing the I-131 and the I-765 even if you don't think you'll need them right now. You never know what changes your life will have on down the road, so I recommend you file these two forms from the start. There is no extra charge to file them with your AOS and it's better to submit them all at once.  There has been much confusion coming out of USCIS, partly due to Covid-19 and partly self-inflicted. This confusion filters on down to the people filing for AOS. The above listing is subject to change at a moment’s notice so please check, recheck and check again BEFORE you send off your packet for any last-minute changes.

Congratulations on a successful submission of your AOS packet!

  13. hello,

i'm confused of how to file part 6 in I-864 please help. i am an american citizen filing for my spouse.

I was a student for year 2019 and 2020 so i didnt file taxes. i only filed taxes for 2021 since it was the only year when i was employed.

how should i answer 23a. im assuming the answer should be NO since i didnt file for all three most recent years.

and for 24.a i have put tax year 2021 and total income.

but for 24.b and 24.c should i leave it blank ? or put ( student) in the area showing total income.

also for 25. should I put mark on that because i dont have an evidence of why i didnt file taxes for 2019 and 2020.

    please help.

    Thank you
