Actually I sent my packages a bit late just last week on Aug. 26 and hope I will receive the scan date email by this week.

Oh yeah. I received the email with scan date after like 4 business days from when I sent in the packages.

No I didn't get an email when we sent (emailed) the civil documents. However, a week later we received a checklist saying they reviewed our documents and asking me to renew my passport prior to the interview.

No case completed yet - really hoping it's today or tomorrow.

I submitted ds260, I received the confirmation when you finish it..it says completed...are we supposed to get an email?

Oh the confirmation page showed up for me too and the form says complete on the ceac website. But no email.

I submitted my DS-260 on 19th of August and I haven't received an email about it either.

Weirdly I have gotten emails about both my packages and for the letter I sent to get my husband's middle name corrected in their database.

Maybe I will call today. Do tell me what they are saying if you do manage to talk to the NVC people.

NVC will not send file to consulate till after interview has been scheduled. NVC then sends out confirmation email and status on ceac changes to 'in transit' once interview is scheduled and file is on it's way to Consulate.

Looks like Mumbai and Delhi are taking a long time to schedule September interviews.

I agree with you KierenHby. Mumbai and Delhi both are sucking at scheduling the interviews right now. We just want to with our spouses and we've already waited so long. Is it too much to ask for at least this last process to go faster?!

you cant schedule visa interview on your own, after CC you have to wait foe few days, NVC will sent your File to Mumbai consulate and they will schedule your interview.

once your interview has been scheduled you will receive email conformation and your P4/interview letter.

Okay. It's just that currently Mumbai seems to be taking a lot of time to schedule interviews. Don't know what is wrong with it.

So after we get case complete, we can just schedule our Visa Interviews on our own?

I am guessing that is only available for the nonimmigrant visas.

So you paid the fee and completed DS-260

When you login to the website (usatravel something I think) does it show the status of your payment and that your DS-260 is completed? If so, that site shoudl allow you to schedule interview I believe.

I did pay all the fees and submit all the documents on 12th of august. I am expecting a CC by 1st week of September.

And I'm not sure I understand. They all us to schedule an interview? Aren't interviews scheduled by the NVC??

Guys, anyone have an idea how long it takes for Mumbai to schedule the interviews? I am awaiting Case Complete right now but am kind of worried because I don't see any of the Mumbai consulate people getting interview dates. Does it take 2-3 months to get an interview?

I really want to be with my husband for Diwali.

First a 5 month wait at the USCIS and then another 2 months for an interview? This is really crazy. We just want to be with our spouses. That isn't too much to ask for.

Seems Pakistan, Spain, UK are all done with interview scheduling. What our Mumbai is doing? hope we ll get it in next couple of days.

Also I've seen 2-3 people from Delhi consulate get interviews.

No, my husband is calling them every day and they're horribly dismissive about it - saying "Oh, it takes a while. Don't worry.".

However, there was something that gave me hope. I was filling in my DS-260 two days ago and some fields already came filled in (like my name, my husband's name, our dates of birth). On them, my first name was already correct.

Did you notice something similar in your DS-260?

Oh. Actually they have misspelled the petitioner's middle name in my case. When I called them 2 days ago, they told me they are not very concerned about the petitioner's name. All they care about is the beneficiary's name. But they will update it as soon as they would receive a copy of my husband's passport, which they did that very day. Let's see. I guess I will call back today and ask.

I don't know why people have been saying Mumbai is fast and Delhi isn't. Seems like both are sucking equally at scheduling interviews.

Also maybe if you want, you can check out the list of interviews in Mumbai in September. I think it is available somewhere on the Mumbai consulate website. The last time I checked I could only find the schedule for August, but in their defense, they hadn't scheduled for September then yet.

Oh SiVin, I am so sorry! I know how it feels since I have been going through the same. We've been together for 2 years now and it feels we have never gotten time to just be with each other. Even after our wedding he only stayed for like 19 days since he had to get back to his job.

This really does suck.

I'm kinda worried now. Seems it's taking 2 months for Mumbai interview too. If that is the case, I'm afraid I won't be able to be with my husband for thanksgiving. :'( :'( :'(
