  1. Thank you for the info.

I am speechless to all complicated process just to be a legal permanent resident in the U.S. So, totally you spent almost thousand of dollars just for the medical exam.

I received all kinds of RFE since I filed .The money can be made back ,but the stress and extra work they threw on us is ridiculous.I was asked for "name affidavit " ,because I took husbands surname after married ,I was lucky that the bank here didn't give me a lot of hassle ,we went to bank and I wrote one according to the example I found online .Bank notarized it for me .I was asked for "court record "too while I have never been to court ,we went to local office and got a police check ,paid 12 there . I am holding my breathe still ,as I will not know if this satisfy them or not until I submit .

  2. So some field office decided you needed another xray and expose yourself to radiation, dependent on whichever officer. Nice one, just another complaint I will be adding to my complaint to the ombudsman! There needs to be accountability now! Enough is enough and I am furious!

That is what I thought before doctor called USCIS. That is why myself didn't call them to ask any about X-RAY .Because I know if somebody tell me that I wont need a x-ray but the officer who deal with my case think I need one ,then I will have to go back to doctor to get it .We would rather make one trip and get everything instead of making two trips .It cost extra money but my husband don't have time to mess with it .I realize every case is different because every officer is different .They want different things .I heard a lot of people got approved without any medical done in US .After so long time waiting ,we just want to get approved

  3. You should write your experience regarding this because many people don't know how to find good price to redo their medical.

Anyhow, wish you luck for getting approval soon. I myself don't see anywhere my green card came out from the dark sooner.

I would like to write down my experience to help others ,but we never tried to compare the price to find the cheaper doctor .Because my husband always want the one closet to home and offer the quickest appointment ,so what I did was getting on the uscis.gov ,calling everyone on the webpage ,and chose one who offered a quickest appointment ,I did twice of the medical ,first time it was a walk-in clinic because they allow us to go there anytime without an appointment ,that one cost 500 for medical and vaccinate .But it took a month to get my medical report from them .This second time I found another doctor ,it cost me about 250 for medical ,120 for x-ray ,I am not sure if X- ray is necessary ,but my RFE letter mentioned X-ray as I posted before ,doctor suggestion is we don't need x-ray ,doctor called uscis ,USCIS says it depends on the exact officer who deal with my case ,they cant tell if I need x-ray or not. My husband don't want to risk ,so we did x-ray and new medical . Doctor says it will take 3 or 4 days to get my report ready for pick up .I am satisfied about everything there ,they did everything quickly . The first doctor I used was in San Antonio ,TEXAS MEDCLINIC. The second doctor I used was in NEW BRUNFELS ,HILL COUNTRY MEDICAL ASSOCIATES ,Dr JOhn LEE who is an Asian male .

  4. It should be physicians who are on the list of USCIS. Anyhow, that was cheap compared to some people here who redo their medical and doctors asked them to pay around thousand of dollars. The doctors on USCIS list is well known on VJ as a ripped off.

yes ,the one I used is on the uscis list . I didn't really care how much it cost ,as long as get it done ,so we will be done with it . It took so much time and work ever since we started K1 .both tired of it

  5. It wasn't our fault if the medical is expired because the process took so long to get done. If the process only took 5 months to get approved we don't need it. The whole system is broken. People are come here under tourist visa, got married and adjust their status afterwards can get their green cards so fast most of them get approved under 5 months.

you are absolutely right ,but my card is on their hand ,so i have to play under their rules .My no criminal record expired too because it took so long to complete my case ,I just hope they do not want a new one from my country

  6. Hi,everyone .I have been thinking about get a police record from the local police department ,but my husband has two property in two different states .If I just get one from my current location where I have been living since I entered US ,will they go further and check and ask me to get another one in another area where his another property located at ? I have never lived in that area .But one person mentioned to me they were made to get each one from each area because her husband has property in different places . I begin to wonder should I just submit a letter explains I have no court record anywhere in US to avoid them getting started on more request ?I forgot to add a little on ,his another property located in a far away state ,he doesnt have time to take me there to get a police record there ,I cant go there by myself either ,plus I never lived there . I am afraid if i submit one police record from Texas police department would this make them ask for more police record from another state ?

  7. I feel like I can give some clarity to this issue. First and foremost, you the petitioner ARE the applicant. So it's all about you, and not your husband. Secondly, there's a question on the DS form that asks about prior convictions, charges, court appearances, and it states that IF you have any of those things, even if charges were dropped, you will need to provide the documents showing what happened and how it ended up from the court. This isn't your Chinese police clearance that you needed for your K1 interview. I'd go with Sweetswinks' advice and just write something up saying you have no police record here. Maybe send your expired Chinese police clearance, and be done with it. People in the K1 forum have asked if they need police clearance for when they've been in the USA, and we really don't have that here. That's what the background checks are for when they go through our applications.

Thank you ,I never had anything to do with the court here .I took husband surname after married but we did that on the wedding .If he would be back and be able to take me to local police to get a no criminal record ,we will do that ,If we can't ,I will submit a letter like you guys said to tell them I have no record here before the due date .Feel a little relieved now ,thanks everyone

  8. I think they are asking for I-693 that relates to positive TB and it could be some treatments that had been done after your surgeon marked positive TB. I am not sure whether you had completed your vaccinations. MMR, Td or TDap, Varicella, and flu shot ( depending on flu season) are required by CDC.

Police record is weird, but can you check again whether you accidently check the criminal section in the form?

If not, then you can submit a copy of police record from China even it had been expired. You can also go to police station in your city ( USA ) and ask for police record. However, I dont know how long will it take to obtain it.

Thank you very much ,I had completed all those shots ,some done right before k1 ,and more completed before I filed I-485.I had done the medical FORM I-693 in April 2014,so it has been expired .I never was told about positive TB by any doctor .I am getting a little confused ,do you think I won't need a new medical done ? Is uscis not asking for the new medical in this letter ? My husband is busy and gone a lot ,I have to figure out a lot of things by myself .I will find the copy of the forms I submitted ,but I doubt I checked criminal section

  9. I've read of this sheet being included with RFE's. They don't want anything from china, they're just saying submit anything related to crimes if you have a record. If you have no record you just respond with a letter signed and dated saying you have no records in USA to include.

wow ,really ? I have never read this thing before ,are you sure I can just submit a explanation letter says I have no records in USA ? I heard a lady saying that she had to go to two police office to get 2 no criminal record because her husband has two houses and located in different area . I am really worried about how to do this

  10. You can't have a police check from China when you haven't been living there!! I would send a copy of my Chinese police record, get a local police check, ring up the police station and ask them what is needed and I would then send a cover letter mentioning you have lived here for two years, so you have done a local police check! I am shaking my head this is ALL pure BS!!

I actually would make a complaint, but that's me. A local info pass for a file that's elsewhere? I don't know its beyond me. I guess an info pass in time will give you details after all a info pass is meant to be to access what they hold on your file?

I know what you are saying . I wish they had not request this ,My concern was I did the no crime record in MARCH 2013 .And I came here in December 2013, so my no criminal record only tells I have no criminal records till MARCH 2013.and there is a gap between MARCH and December . I know I should be able to get a no criminal record from my local police but it will only be after December after I came here .We didn't file for greencard right away ,So I had 3 months over stay here ,I cant go back to china to get a new one done if they want that

  11. My theory is that they haven't seen the copy of your police cert from China, so just sent an rfe for it. I doubt it s for your husband. If you have been living here for 2 years though they might want a police certificate from here, although I am sure they have ways to check about any police record pertaining to the USA, after all they go through enough security checks when they do anything! I would ring the USCIS to clarify what exactly they want. They don't make it easy do they?!?!

there is one thing I forgot ,my no crime record from china has already expired . It was good when I filed the I 485 form ,shortly after that It expired because I heard they are only good for one year . Does this mean I will have to go back to china to have a new one done ?

i called them ,they said they are wanting those from me ,not my husband .I asked them do they need one from china and one from my local police office ?they said if i have questions about what letter ask me to do ,I should get a immagration lawyer ,or go request an appointment at my local field office to ask the details .My case isnt at my local field office ,and I dont think we have time to do that either ,They remind me that i have to submit evidence within 30 days .I dont

know where to start with .it says "if no court records are found ,then submit a notice from the felony and misdemeanor divisions of each court"

  13. I think there is a list on visa journey for you vaccinations and what you need for what age. I think the ones they want is the TB, the results of the TB etc, chickenpox, measles, rubella, tetanus (which is meant to be every 10 years), mumps, Hep B, (I think), polio. The influenza one is seasonal, so they don't need that this time of year! I might have missed something out. I know mine are up to date, I had them when I went to university for nursing and paid for the influenza when I went for my medical as it was winter.

You can't give a court record if you haven't committed a crime, that doesn't make sense. I would send a copy and a covering letter. Not sure why they would want a court record from your husband he isn't the one applying is he? I would ring up the USCIS to clarify and ask them what they are talking about. The sooner you get this evidence in the sooner you get your issuance. I just don't understand this process, it seems they just blindly request evidence that you have already submitted. I am wondering if they just can't find some attached documentation that yf

from what you said ,i think my vaccinations are still good . I had a few before I got my K1 visa and some more before I filed for AOS. I will try to call uscis today ,and hope they can make it clear for me . First I thought they want court record from me ,but my no crime record was done 2 years ago before I left my country then I have been living here ,my old no crime record should have expired ,if they want new court record from me , I guess I need get one from my local police office since I have been living here instead of china for the last 2 years .But if they want the record from my husband ,he has lived a lot of places all over UNITED STATES. I don't know if he has to go back to all those places to get a proof from each one ? I think he is the applicant ,because the letter call me 'petitioner" But I am not sure maybe they wrote it wrong .He is american citizen ,I am the alien .

  14. They probably lost the certificate you sent, send them a copy!

Which field office did this come from? As for vaccinations are you up to date?

letter come from boise field office , I don't know if my vaccanations is up to date . I had those in April 2014. I don't know whose court record they want ?they want my husband or mine ?the letter says i am the petitioner .So that means my husband is the applicant . So they are wanting applicants no crime record ? This is so weird .Some people told me that we need go back to his hometown where he has another house to get a no crime record there for him and we need get another one here where we live currently

  15. Morning ,eveyone .I need some help here .I received the RFE letter this morning ,but I don't understand what the letter ask for .

It asked for the ''supplement FORM I-693 immunizations performed by a doctor on the list of USCIS authorized physicians ,which is listed on the USCIS web site.USCIS .GOV with this request for documents .Evidence of follow up medical examination regarding the positive class B Latent TB infection ,ie:x-rays ,medical statement from the examining Dr." Is this means just a new medical FORM I-693 done by a civil surgeon without any more vaccinations?

Then "For any and all convictions of the applicant within the UNITED STATES and abroad at any time ,the applicant MUST submit a certified copy of the following COURT records (a ) Disposition ©JUDGEMENT and SENTENCE .The applicant must also submit these court records for every alias under which he/she has been convicted. If no court records are found ,then submit a notice from the felony and misdemeanor divisions of each court ."

I don't know what this is at all. I submitted a no crime record when I filed for AOS last year .Should I just resubmit that no crime record again for them ? I have never been sentenced at court in my life .Is this one wanting my husband court record ? But the letter has my name on it .Any advice would be appreciated :crying: :crying: :crying::crying::crying::crying:

  17. Yeah, my wife's letter says within 30 days of the date on the notice, so she only has until may 24 to get a new I-693 sent to them. The letter itself came from new york and was postmarked april 28th, so don't know where it was sitting around for 4 days before that, postal service is slow these days too, so going to end up with only 20 days to try to schedule and get it done, don't know what happens if can't get it done. Really is becoming deja vu this year, had to send in the ead renewal last month, so may end up doing biometrics again this year, taking hours of driving for a 5 minute finger print they already should have. Also calling a bunch of doctors last may and only finding one that would do the vaccination supplementation and ended up that was a waste of time since didn't even matter with their later rules expiring medicals.

wow, only 30 days this make me concerned about myself .As I said it took me a whole month to receive the last medical from doctor after I did it .I don't know if I could submit the new medical in within 30 days . If you can't get a closest appointment with doctor ,you might want to try those walk in XXX medclinic.I used those before ,if you can find any in your area .All i need to do is call them ahead and go there ,have the medical done right away . Hope this information help any

  18. noa1 on my wife's aos was may 22, 2014, now she got a stupid letter today, dated on april 24th 2015, saying because of some new rule on june 1, 2014, she has to redo her 1-693 because its over a year old and send that in within 30 days of the notice, but by Monday there is only 20 days left to get it in, this stuff is getting absurd.

Is this within 30 days? Usually they would ask you to send back within 87 days .I ask this because I might be getting the new medical request too ,but I have't see the letter ,30 days is too short ,it took 30 days for me to got the last medical record from civil doctor

  19. Just got off the phone with my senator's office. Basically she called the Manchester Field office where my file is located, and they told her that USCIS states that processing time is 9-12 months from NOA date (which i already knew) so since my NOA date is May 20th 2014 I am STILL within USCIS processing times. She also said the GC is not a priority because my husband is able to work and travel with the EAD combo card. She stated kinda rudely that we still have 30 more days to wait until they will start processing our file, then when past 30 days we will be outside of processing time. Then she went into stating that the senator's office really helps those immigration cases that "really" need helpID

I only contacted my senator via emails and mails ,so I didn't have to deal with rude attitude .In the letters ,it always seems nice and polite .The reply from my senator said same thing "it take 9-12 months since NOA date " but half a month after that ,my case get updated today .My NOA date is later than yours ,JUNE 5th . Since your senator had uscis reviewed your case ,your case might have a update very soon too
