  1. i made my 2nd request on February 25th ,this time they replied to me quick ,i got a response today .Not very useful though .It says" Due to workload factors not related to your case, USCIS anticipates a delay in completing your case. USCIS is committed to adjudicating immigration benefits in the order received and in a timely and efficient manner. We regret any inconvenience that results from delays in processing." The headline of this email shows" U.S. Department of Homeland Security

    USCIS National Benefits Center
    P.O. Box 648005
Lee's Summit,MO 64002" but my request number always end with last 3 letter standing for my local office .I don't know if my case is at NBC or local office

  2. Please do not give out wrong info and cover yourself with a you might want to ask a lawyer.

This is not possible without an underlying I-130.

thanks for correcting my misthinking .but that was my opinion .and i am not trying to cover myself either .i have friend whose husband dont want to fix her status .i feel sorry for people who are in those situation ,that is all . To deal with immagration ,it is wise to ask a lawyer to get professional advice and seek any possible solution instead of just being threatend and misreable .that is just a commen sense .

  3. My aunt married a U.S Citizen 25 years ago. He did not want to help her fix her status because he said she was going to leave him. All these years he has threaten her to call immigration on her when he gets mad. Does anyone know if there is a form that applys to your husband not fixing your status so I can help apply for in this case?

you need ask a lawyer about this .i have heard that us citizen husband wont fix alien wifes status case before .those woman divorced and filed for her own AOS.as long as marriage is bona .No point to live a life full of threaten like that ,your aunt really need to change it ,there must be ways!

  4. Our medical expires in April (filed for AOS in October), and as we only just got the notice of potential waiver, we are expecting the medical to expire before our case is completed. Do we wait until we get an RFE telling us to update our medical, or do we have to take care of that regardless? I'm assuming we would have gotten an RFE by now if it was going to be an issue but I also don't want to have our case denied because we didn't go and get a new medical.

my medical will expire in april too .and i havent get my case approved .wonder about same question

  5. After the 2nd service request they gave me a confirmation sort of # T1BxxxxxxxxxMSC but on my first service request the number was T1BxxxxxxxxxMAN which i believe the last letters stands for MANCHESTER which is my local field office. Whats goin on? Whats msc?

hi ,do you mind telling that when was your 1st and 2nd request? i made two request in last 2 months ,but their number both ended with same last three letters.i wonder if your request have big time gap between 1st and 2nd which leads to different last 3 letters ?

  6. Do the last 3 letters of that confirmation code actually mean anything about how far along a case is? The last 3 of mine are CHL, which I assume is my local office in Charleston. Just not sure if it means my case is there right now, or if its still at that MSC place. (As you can see I don't really know what I'm talking about)

have same question here .my request ends with 3 letter SNA which stands for my local office san antonio ,i want to know if this means my case in in local office too :(

  7. Hi.

From reading a lot of posts here it seems most people have had their letters regarding interview waivers or actually had their interviews. I'm starting to get really fed up of the whole immigration process. Submitted AOS and online it is still in Acceptance. I logged a service request because the system said that the NOA1 was undeliverable, but since then my NOA1 for work permit came through and my actual EAD card came through. I haven't heard anything about the AOS, not even an interview waiver letter etc. Time to be worried? My case number starts with MSC which I think is Nebraska? I rang the customer service line and the guy told me they are processing cases from April 5th 2014 and that he couldn't tell me anything until the normal processing time was up. Shouldn't I have heard something like "you're getting an interview/you're not getting an interview" by now or before then?

I'm also frustrated with SSN office. I went last month to update my married name on the card that I've had since 2010 (had a J1 visa) and they said there was a problem verifying my idenitity and it would arrive in the mail and would take up to 4 weeks. Well its been 4 weeks and nothing. Have been on hold with them this evening, may just give up and ring tomorrow. I can't get my driving license or my car without my social security card showing my married name. I'm angry because where I live there is no public transport and hubby works long, late hours so wouldn't be able to give me a ride to work. I have had my card 6 weeks now but cannot use it as I can't get to any job. This is so upsetting.

Just so fed up with the whole system. Can't get to a job because I can't get a car without my married name on my social security card, and I haven't heard a peep about how my case is progressing yet most on this thread have had updates in the mail. Ughhhh.

hi.i have something to tell you ,i met same problem with yours when i try to change my married name on ssn.And they told me it will take four weeks ,i didnt get it till eight weeks later ,so was my friend .So just wait one more month you will have it ,they are waiting for uscis to respond to your name change, thats why it took longer than four weeks.

  8. I think there's a good chance that you might have to get a new medical once the existing medical expires. I could be wrong. We have seen people with expired medicals get approved, but we have also seen a very limited number of RFE's for medicals. USCIS is very unpredictable. In my opinion they are being lenient with apps they received before JUNE 2014 or else we would be seeing RFE's left and right from everyone. It's left to see what will happen when they start working on JUNE 2014 apps.

    I see ,thank you :luv:

  9. Unfortunately you still have some waiting to do. We have seen some approvals without having to renew medicals. We have seen a few that have had to get new medicals Or vaccinations. On June 1st of 2014 USCIS changed their medical policy as per request of the CDC. After June 1st medicals are only valid for 1 year. If your medical expires while you are waiting you will have to get another medical done. I think, and this is only my opinion, if you got your app to USCIS before June 1st there's a good chance you won't have to renew your medical. If USCIS received it after June 1st then you'll have to get a new medical.

thanks for answer my question .my application was received on JUNE 5th ,2014 by uscis. So based on your words , there is big chance I will be asked to redo medical because mine was received after JUNE 1st.Is this what you meant ?

  10. Unfortunately when you talk with Tier 1, it's like dancing with the wrong partner. They don't have access to anything more than your number and the dates your application was filed and your NOA1. They tell everyone that their case is in their local office, because for most other visa classes this is true. For us, the few, the proud, the NPIW letter holders; we're in a different universe that most of them have never heard of. They are unaware of the putrescent aroma emanating from the vaults of NBC located somewhere in the suburbs of Kansas City, Missouri where our cases decay. The only people who can truly you about where your case sojourns at this moment is Tier 2, if you can cajole them into telling you. Not always easy. Some of them are good at poker, others are not. It was only this week that we determined that our case had finally left Misery and was in the Big Apple field office.

I can tell you this. Many of us have received letters from SR and Congressional/Senatorial inquiries telling us to expect a wait from 9 - 12 months from filing. Others, even those with NOA's in mid March have received letters telling them to wait another 120 days. That would be 15 months. If I were an agent for USCIS, I'd say be patient. But I am not so having been where you are at your point in the wait, just passing the processing date at your local office, I wasn't and neither have most of us here. I came on this thread on Dec. 9th when there were a little over 500 posts, 34 pages and the thread was almost a year old. Now look at it. 2-5 pages a day during the week. We're all impatient, frustrated, aggravated, seething with anger, down, happy for others... We're still waiting and not enjoying any bit of it...

    Sorry, can't be anymore encouraging...

thanks .there are a lot of information you shared .I will keep waiting

  11. is there anyone who got the notice of potential interview waiver letter in NOVEMBER 2014 and get approved lately? i got the letter in last NOVERMBER.I made online request in JANUARY 2015,the webpage showed to wait for 30 days ,I waited and got no reply .So i made a second online request this month ,FEBRUARY. Now i am waiting for reply again .My medical test was done in last April ,it seem like I wont get my GC soon ,I begin to worry that I might get a request to ask me to redo the medical exam. Do you guys know if it will always ask to redo the medical test after it expires ? or some lucky people didnt have to redo it even if it expire .Tired of waiting .I applied AOS in JUNE 2014.I called USCIS several times too, they always told me my case is at my local office ,my local office is dealing with the case applied in JUNE 2014 which is same time when I applied .This was a good news to me .But after I read so many post here ,i begin to doubt if my case is really at local office .
