Hi All, I got text message today that my status had changed, I checked and my card has apparently been ordered!!!! Because I know people will want to know....
I filed end of July 2018, they received 2nd August. I got the notification that they were reusing my biometrics, and my case was transferred to Nebraska. I haven't had a notification that my case was approved yet, but I have seen other people comment that they got their notifications out of order.
Fingers crossed I should get my card fairly soon, I will everyone know when it arrives!!!!

My letter says the same. To be honest, it reads to me like a fairly generic letter, that has just had sections filled it like a mail merge....

I just called the USCIS number, and yep, mine went to NEBRASKA as well *sigh*
So, does anyone know if this puts us to the back of the queue again? or do they have a separate team handling the transferred cases?

so two letters on the way to both of us I guess.... oh, and I have NOT filed my N-400 yet, so not sure whether that is a factor or not.

Anybody else receive a 2nd notification overnight about the case being transferred or was it just me? Looks identical to the first one I got on the 10th 🤔🤔🤔

Mine also makes no reference of "local office" in the notification....
Now really curious what the difference is, and what the letters will say....

From what I've read online about the process, its only when it actually goes to the under-writer that they ask for all the docs and proof of everything, so I guess depending on when you came off the mortgage, they might not have cared?

We finished ROC not long ago; several people have said in various ROC threads that they have found it difficult to impossible to get a mortgage during the ROC process (banks think there's a risk the ROC might not be approved; they don't realize that actually really close to 100% of cases do get approved!). But I think I remember reading of some other people who were able to get mortgages during that time. You might have to shop around a bit with multiple lenders.

Surely they ask for proof of your status, at which point they would see my green card being due to expire..... that is the concern.
We appreciate this could be a case-by-case basis, and could be dependent on the under-writer and even the person that actually processes the application.

Does anyone have any experience trying to buy a home whilst still on their conditional green card?
My card is due to expire later this year, if anyone has any advice or has experienced this, we would be grateful for any insight!

So, on the day I was going to post my letters to the Congressman and two senators, giving them the authorization they requested to look into my case, I receive and update from USCIS, that my interview has been scheduled for next month.
Weird how the timing has worked out lol

My service request has been open since mid-June.
Is it worth opening a second one? The lady I spoke to last time said I could, but I would go back to the end of the queue, as they do them in date order so it seemed pointless

Congratulations Chas!! I've sent my letters to the Congressman and Senators, now waiting and hoping they can do something to help.
On a brighter note, I filed my Advance Parole on the 25th July, and it has already been approved and arrived on Saturday
If only everything could have been this quick!

Does anyone know if there is a template for contacting your congressperson?

My thoughts is that you could likely have a waiver, your case could actually be at some other office other than the NBC or where you live. I would get your congressperson involved to track it down. You seem to be in that 'sweet spot' of Nov-Dec cases that seemed to get shuffled somewhere to limbo-land. Besides that, how was your DS3025 from Knightsbridge filled out.. just curious? Tickbox or no tickbox? Just wondering if there is any set pattern here..
If it is a waiver, I'm happy to wait a little while longer for them to process it, just wish they could tell me that!
I'll double check when I get home about the tickbox.
I can say that I was missing a couple of boosters from my vaccinations, so I went to my local doctor, got them for free, got all my medical records printed out (not for free!) and then went to see a Civil Surgeon over here who completed the paperwork that I sent to USCIS (I'll check that again when I get home).
Thanks for the advice about congressperson. I'll see about getting in touch with them.

I got a text Wednesday 19th to say they had requested my card, then on Friday 21st that my card had been produced, Monday 24th that they had sent it. Originally USPS said they would deliver today, but they super-charged their vans, and delivered it last night.
So, about a week?
