  1. Thanks NLR and Jnsr for replying

Yes when they the issued the PCC, the Indian embassy in Birmingham put a stamp on my passport and a white paper says " PCC issued for immigration purposes" date and signature, that's all nothing else in it.

Anyway as far as my research this will do, I don't need PCC from passport office in India, but i need the PCC from police office in my home town.

Keep everything in prayers , Lets see how things goes

Cheers and all the best guys, really appreciate your help

    Thanks

No problem. You will do great will surely keep you in my prayers. Good Luck :)

  2. Thanks Jnsr for the reply

I got PCC from the local police station in India, Police clearance from ARCO UK since i am living in the UK for the last four years. what i am just wondering is that do i have to get passport clearance from regional passport office in India, I already got passport clearance certificate from the Indian consulate in Birmingham. is that enough?

As far as I know the Passport clearance from Birmingham should do they also give a red Stamp on your passport did you get that? ( if yes then I think your good) but I'm not quiet sure if you require a PCC from local police as you haven't been residing in India.

  3. Hello !

My lawyer has asked me to submit certified copies of following documents. Who should certify the copies ?

    • Marriage Certificate
    • Birth Certifcate
    • Clearance Certificate from Passport Office
    • Biographic Data Pages from Unexpired Passport

    FYI: I am from India

    Thank you :)

Generally in India the certification is done by gazetted officers( Government officials and some bank managers, lawyers or doctors etc hold this designation) . Here you have to carry your original and a xeroxed copy the officer will verify and then sign and give a seal on your xeroxed copy that its authentic.

  6. As the NVC received your documents it will take 60 days processing time. After that NVC will notify you if all documents have been received ( case completed) or a checklist will be sent for additional documents. If the checklist is sent then you have to submit those documents and wait another 60days for NVC to process them. If you get a case completed then you will get an interview date within 2 to 3 months. NOTE: sometimes fake checklists are sent. If no specific document is requested it can be considered a fake checklist. If its a fake checklist then ignore it.

    Hi guys,

today I got mail from nvc, NVC RECEIVED YOUR DOCUMENTS, We expect it will be at least 60 days from the date we received your mail before we complete the review of your documents.

how long I want to wait to get visa from Mumbai consulate.

    plz help,

    thanks

  7. We have a joint bank account, emails, bbm chats, call records, video of the wedding, pictures together, sworn affidavits of two witnesses to the marriage. Are these enough evidence?

Yes a joint bank account is good( it should mention both your names)... not just the wedding day pictures you need to show the continuity of your relationship after that so chats, emails, skype msgs. etc that show that your marriage is intact should be good. check the link below it has a list of other evidences that you can gather.

  8. I have been scheduled for an interview at the lagos embassy. But I am having some issues. My wife visited me in lagos for the first time in 2013 and spent 6days with me, within this time we got married. She had to hurry back to the states cuz she was expected to resume work the following day. She has not been able to visit me again bcuz her work schedule is so busy. Now I am scheduled for interview and I don't know how to answer the CO if they ask me questions like how many times has your wife visited you in lagos or when was the last time you met your wife? I am very worried if this will be a red flag at my interview. What am I expected to do? Is it really important to ask my wife to fly in for the interview? If my wife is unable to come, how do I answer this question in my interview? I need advice.

I too face the same situation... I think its best to be honest and earnestly explain why your spouse couldn't be with you... Also you can show evidence of your relationship and its authenticity from your phone records, emails exchanged, photos, messages, co-owned property etc

  10. When is your interview? I did not find you in dwheels spreadsheet. If your financial sponsor has already submitted the tax return for 2014 then you will need to carry a copy of that return. If 2014 return has not been submitted yet, you should take along copies of 2014 W2 of the petitioner.

Please fill-in your timeline. This helps everyone in this forum.

yes i filled the form related to the spreadsheet today a little while ago so maybe it will take a little while to add me up... got my interview letter today so will update the profile now ... the interview has been scheduled for march 27 2015... thank you again i confirm that with my hubby
