    Hi Guys,

Just received a text and email confirmation that my 10-yr GC is under production.

2/13-14 was being transferred from Vermont to texas service center.

    4/2 - card production

Good luck everyone. Yours will be in production soon.

Very encouraging news. Our case was transferred out to Texas on 2/13 as well so hopefully we hear something soon.

  2. Our situation was somewhat similar. We were expecting our case to go to the Raleigh local office then all the sudden we receive an RFE from the Tampa field office. No text or updates online saying there was an RFE so it was weird but they wanted us to get the I693 vaccination supplement filled out by a civil surgeon even though we had sent in the DS 3025 vaccination from the medical. We got an appointment with a civil surgeon and sent off the answer to the RFE then a week later a text and email came from USCIS saying the green card is being produced and the I485 was approved without interview. I guess they are sending cases wherever there is an open spot or office to process it. Even though you received an RFE I would think once you respond then you will receive your green card soon!

  3. I think a lot of it depends on what immigration officer reviews the file. For instance, we sent in the DS 3025 (which we checked to make sure everything was filled out or waived) in the initial packet for AOS and hadn't heard anything for 5 months then last week we received an RFE for the vaccination supplement of the I-693 done by a civil surgeon. We found a civil surgeon that only charged about $25 to transcribe the vaccines and they made sure everything was filled out and sealed. So for some people the DS 3025 works but in some cases they really do want to see that I-693 completed by a civil surgeon.

  4. Attached is a picture of the approval notice. Does this mean we don't need / won't have an interview? I wasn't expecting this so soon as we filed late December. What we the next steps be? Will she get her green card soon and what will happen with the petitions for her EAD and AP? Thanks so much!

That is fast. What part of NC are you from? I was just curious if it would have been routed through Raleigh office or Charlotte office. We haven't heard anything about green card since the biometrics in late October.
  5. I don't know about anybody else but I married my Filipino wife because I love her! I never thought about ease of visas or expediting a visa or if the embassy was easier in one country or another. I really was impressed with the culture of the Philippines and how family is so important there and the feminine qualities that you find in Filipinas that is missing in a lot of American women now. Me and my wife have a great relationship and life together and I couldn't be happier. Since the OP asked the question why Americans marry girls from the Philippines then I ask why do Americans marry males or females from Tunisia? That question could be asked of all of us regarding countries of our significant others. I think each one of us would have a unique answer specific to their lives but one common answer no matter what country is that this is the person you love so really it doesn't matter what country or part of the world they are from.

  6. Hey! My fiancées interview will be in the next couple of months and we are getting everything in order. Did you have to have your NBI, cenomar or birth certificate with red ribbon or no red ribbon? My fiancée has these documents but not red ribbon and she is trying to figure out if she needs to have that done. Thank you!

  7. I was wondering if the expedite was over too because I filed back in January and my fiancé is from the Philippines and nothing on my case yet either. I did see where two cases on Igor's list both dealing with beneficiary's from the Philippines were approved in anywhere from 30 to 40 days after NOA1. They look to be genuine TSC cases too because they are from Virginia and North Carolina so I'm not sure. Maybe those two cases had special reasons and that's why they were expedited. To the original poster, congrats on the approval!

  8. I am curious. I have seen and heard where expedites were happening for 1-129f's from the Philippines. I also thought it didn't matter if they were living in the Philippines or working in another country. I just saw on Igor's list that an 1-129f from the Philippines at the Texas Service Center was approved and was sent in later than mine. I am almost at the two month mark now. I'm assuming then the expedite is only happening for those currently living in the Philippines? Just trying to see if anyone knew anything about this.
