It's been 31 days since the scan date on our checklist documents. After about an hour of frustration I was able to talk to a real person at NVC. We had a bad connection and he was so cranky about it. I told him I was checking on our case status. He said, "Mame, your scan date was June 10th. You have to allow 30 days...you have to give nvc THIRTY DAYS from your scan date before you check on your status." I told him this is day number 31, I did wait the full 30 days. So he looked at the case and said the documents haven't been reviewed yet, call back in a few days. We've gone into the 11th month since we applied for the visa. I've become so depressed, it's hard to make myself stick to my routines. My life is on HOLD as the seasons are coming and going, waiting to start a life with my husband. I'm sure you know exactly how I feel.

PRAISE THE LORD! JUST GOT OFF THE PHONE AND I AM NOW CASE COMPLETE!!!! FINALLY!!! NEVER IMAGINED HOW I CRIED LIKE A BABY!!!!

Fortunately, the rep who answered my call directly worked under her supervisor. I explained my situation in detail. The checklist was due to a clerical error from the NVC. Meaning, it was their fault I got checklisted. She was sympathetic enough, put me on hold for quite some time and finally advised me to email her supervisor. After writing down her instructions, I pleaded and said that I'll stay on hold for another hour if it meant I'd directly be connected to a supervisor. She put me on hold again and when she got back on the line, she said she was going to transfer me right away. I spoke to the supervisor for at least a half an hour explaining that their error is causing my stepson's case to be delayed for two months! Three weeks past their supposed "it will take up to 42 days to review". He reassured me that he physically forwarded my case to those in charge of reviewing it and no matter the outcome, he will contact me in one week's time to keep me updated. He called me an hour later and told me the good news.
Basically, I think it's the luck of the draw. If you're fortunate enough to speak to someone who is capable to connect you to a supervisor, then your chances are high. I suggest to call daily if unable to get through.

hi christina i got approved and they said you will get your passport and visa week or so. Best of luck with to all my brothers and sisters whose having interview in the future. Just relax and be confident as long as you have all the documents you don't need to worry.

Just to add even thou I did not send any extra evidence to the NVC there is nothing wrong with sending additional evidence to the NVC. However over 300 pages is overkill. Will you want to be the agent that has to sort thru all that.

Yes MrsChua, 4 Down 1 to go......Spouse and 3 daughters are set and complete. I just saw 3 Magical N/As for the spouse too. Now waiting on them to complete my last case. Raise your hands up let us all pray for each other.

it's also quite possible the interviewer at the local uscis office will not know anything about it.
Here's what I suggest:
make a packet of stuff that includes the following:
1. letter of attestation that you have filed for divorce on suchandsuch date.
2. copy of divorce petition showing the filing date stamp
and drop this off at the local uscis office, not need any appointment, just ask the security guard to let you in because you want to drop something into the drop box.
on the outside, write:
Citizenship Adjudication Team.
Please review and add to the A-File prior to final adjudication and interview.

More than likely you'll be able to continue the process if you don't screw up the random test within the next year. And if your wife doesn't kill you.
I'd be more scared of the wife than immigration.

@joechima , u supposed to see it, but at the same time I don't think it matters as long as it has been confirmed on the phone by nvc rep. Another thing too, I just get off the phone with nvc rep, and she told me their system is down from today till Monday morning, So I guess that's why u are not seeing the 3 N/A's Yet, Just relax and let's enjoy the good news and pray for those who are still waiting for cc.

Congratulations joechima.....we are also coming slowly. They received my updated AOS form yesterday. that is my final case to get CC ,out of 5 cases.

They are bunch of Liars, they tell lies like the truth, it comes naturally to them.
I been calling since 4 weeks same answer always.
I called today and they said, supervisor requested my file, and the supervisor is waiting for my file so she can review o.OOOO
For goodness sake, make the process automated, people send files, send it through a scanner, and digitize it, why the hell are they following prehistoric ways of doing things.

But I gotta say, it's also pretty hard. This NVC outage has been really hard to bare.
I am really not trying to burst anyone's bubble, just wanted to ask you all who are with your spouses to hug them super tight for all of us who are still only dreaming of doing so.
