  1. Ok guys I got an update today.

Case Was Received At My Local Office

On March 4, 2018, we received your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, Receipt Number at your local office. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I guess it is another waiting game here.   I am in CSC processing center.    Nov 2018 is my the 3rd year anniversary of the GC.    It is ok to apply 90 days before Nov 2018 for the N400 even the lifting condition is not done yet right?

  2. Why not have her families back home take care of her father for now since they also know that she cannot just go back that easily? She needs to sacrifice for the sake of her being her with you. Once she leaves the country, you will start the process again and you know K1 is faster than the spouse visa. I have a friend same thing happened, her mother died but she can't go home because she don't have her gc yet. Sacrifice is needed sometimes for it to work.

  3. Hello everybody,

Finally, the long wait is over. Our AOS got approved today. I just want to share our experience in the
interview. So the CO first asked of our passports. He asked for both our Original Birth certs,
my original naturalization cert. He looked for our marriage cert and he said he needed an original and a
copy of it (good thing we made copies of our orignals too). So basically he tooked our orignal birth certs
and original marriage cert. He made a copy of our passports. Then he asked if we have some joint accounts.
I gave him all that we have our names included. First is the latest bank account statement (online printout),
my covered california with hers added to my health insurance (copy sent by coveredca), my life insurance and
brokerage accounts stating her as the beneficiary (copies from the companies). The CO was happy about me
submitting all that I got, he said I came prepared. He didn't look at our pictures at all. He asked if
we got the medical already and he was browsing his documents and found it. (it looks like the DS-3025).
Good thing he didnt ask for any I-693 wheewwww. After that he had either one of us tell him our love
story so I voluntered but in the end my wife is the one ended talking. Lols you know women right?
after that he said that we will check if you will be approved or not so he told us to wait outside and
after 10 mins he came out the door with 2 pcs of paper and said congratulations, you are approved.
    Yepeeeeee

    Thank you again for everybody.

  4. Hello thespoons and ohmymy,

This is Grace, And yes, we just decided to wait for the interview and incase they will give us RFE then we'll make it. LOL.

Thank you guys for the advice, I'm actually a lil nervous about the vaccine shots because I hate sharps. and oh well another pain in the ###. LOL.

But Im confident that I had all the shots they asked before I came here. So I dont think its necessary.

I hope we'll be lucky enough not to ask about it during the interview.

Hi ohmymy, you're just living in L.A prolly we can hang out soon! :)

Sorry if I rarely reply on here, lol. Thanks for the help guys! We really appreciate it!

  5. Hey guys, we have our interview for adjustment of status for coming up and we are really nervous!

We don't really seem to have that many of the supporting documents since my wife has only been in the country for 4 months. We do have an apartment lease with both of our names, photos, transcripts of communications. However, we don't have joint bank accounts, credit cards, or anything else. All the utility bills are under my name. We had a small court wedding only, we plan to have a destination wedding later next year (we need to save money!) Only her family members attended the court wedding, all my family members were out of the country or had other obligations. I plan to name her as a beneficiary on my will.

Is this enough? What are some other things we can bring to the interview to support our relationship?

Also, her english is not that great, but I am bilingual. Can I translate for her at the interview, or should we bring another person to translate?

    Thansk for your help!

    Hi glassgow22

We have the same situation, we will have our interview for adjustment of status next month.

But still we don't have joint bank accounts and joint medical insurance.

Because they are asking for an ID under my married name and I still couldn't get any because they are asking for my EAD card.

My EAD just got approved so we will go back to the bank and hopefully to joint with my husband's.

You can contact your credit card company and also the utility bills to ask to joint your wife.

My husband did it, I already added on our utility bills and just waiting for the joint credit card to arrive.

  6. Hello,

I already got the Interview requirements and one of the requirements says it needs a completed medical examination (I-693) and vaccination supplement in a sealed envelope (unless already submitted). We only submitted the DS-3025 in the AOS package? Do you think that I still have to undergo another vaccination just to get that I-693 which is one of the requirements?

  7. Spoons,

I own a condo, the problem is they can't add her on my condo because it is under a mortgage. I need to refinance if I will have my wife's name on it. 2nd I was able to add her as a beneficiary on my life ins and also my bank accts but not actually made her as a joint because she can't get a CA id yet. I have the pictures already and probably I'll bring the original documents that has a corresponding copy that I send to them.

  8. Hello guys,

my AOS interview is scheduled on Nov 30, 2015. My question is my wife has not changed her SS last name because she don't have the EAD yet. Also we went to DMV and they can't issue her a CA Id because she don't have the EAD the her SS is not changed yet but my interview is coming up. I can't even add her as a joint on my accounts because of the freaking EAD not in our hands yet. What other supporting documents I need to bring to the interview since I am short of some proof or evidence of marriage aside from our marriage cert, pics, I already made her my beneficiary on my insurance and IRA. What do I need to bring? Is there a link for questions and things to bring to the interview?

    Thank you in advance

  9. Sorry to hear about all the things that have been happening. I am not sure of the answers to your questions but you might want to post the question in the embassy specific forum. I hope things get better soon.

Just to tell you my sister's experience but this is on a tourist visa. She has a US tourist visa multiple entry, she went to China and she lost her passport. The US embassy said that her tourist visa is no longer valid so she have to reapply again. I just do not know if this also applies to the K1 visa. I think it is better to go to the embassy in person and ask them about the situation.

  10. Hello,

How are you guys? I already finish my biometrics for the AOS. Just waiting for the EAD approval. I want to ask if you guys were able to cover your spouse a health insurance. I called the covered California (Obama Care) and they said that my spouse cannot be covered because she is not a US citizen or a green card holder. Were you guys able to add your spouses a health insurance? Do I have to wait for her to have a green card before I can have an insurance for her?

    Allan
