Last Thursday I was coming home from work and I checked the tracker app. I almost started crying when I saw that the card had just been mailed to me!!! 463 days after filing for ROC. I actually had it in my hands by Saturday. No RFE, no interview. SRC. I'm going to try and find the tracking post and update my status.

This morning I checked and my status on the app was changed to "Fingerprint Review Was Completed" as of October 29. I guess I was getting the error while they were updating the status or something.

So I went to check today what the app had to say about any updates and it shows Error: Validation Error(s). my.uscis.gov still shows Fingerprint received and egov.uscis.gov shows:

So I went yesterday to get my biometrics done and, as expected, they don't take walk-ins in the ATL ASC. The man there said that they post a note on the door if they take them or not, but it really doesn't make sense that they do that when they haven't taken walk-ins in such a long time. Anyways, it took me about 20 minutes of waiting to get to the reception desk, the lady barely talked with me because she was busy talking with her colleague (which explains why she was taking soooo long to check people in). I waited about 5-10 more minutes and I got the fingerprints done in about 5 minutes. The officers were not rude, but they could use some smiling and words like please and thank you, to be honest.

I had received the letter that they were going to reuse my fingerprints but several months later I received my biometrics appointment letter.

@lolita88 - Oh thanks for letting me know that one can get biometrics ahead of time! Please let us know if you succeed at getting it tomorrow! I think we are in the same field office and I know our office doesn’t allow walk-ins anymore, but it would be great to get it done this week and not wait!

Wow, Thank you for your message! I did not think to check and you are right about the ATL office. I´ll probably call in the morning, but I will make arrangements with my job to go next Tuesday. Do you know how long it may take to get through the process?

This is interesting, because back in January 2019 I got a notice that my biometrics will be reused, and my status changed to "Fingerprint review completed". My case status did not change, nor did I get any electronic notification about this. Also, in case tracker, my status is still "Fingerprint fee received".

Same here. I just saw that I got the letter yesterday and my date is 10/29. Since I'm off tomorrow, I'm going to try and go see if I can get that done (other people have gone before their appointment). I really hope that this means that they are working on all these cases and we'll see approvals soon!!

The last email I received was in June, and the status on the app says "Fingerprint review was completed. Last Status Change: 176 days ago". I keep checking the app every day and I honestly can't wait for something to happen.

Also, I would like to apply for citizenship but as long as they have not responded to this I don't want to make things more complicated. I have no idea whether that would slow things down on their end. So I am just waiting.

Texas center here... And no news. I received a letter saying that they were going to reuse my biometrics, and the app shows the last update on April 15, Fingerprint Review was completed. 135 days since the last update.

Last email received from USCIS says: "We last took action on your case on February 8, 2019". I did receive a letter at some point earlier this year (maybe Feb?) that said that my biometrics were going to be reused, but nothing has been reflected on the website...

I did not send a photo album, I just sent a bunch of pictures. I'm not sure if that could have delayed the process. On the website https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/  it still says that my fingerprint has been received, so they haven't updated that. I did submitted a service request about 3 weeks prior to receiving the letter that said that my biometrics were going to be reused. I'm not sure if that made them move quicker.

Hi Happy-Phil! I sent my package to Dallas and I just received a letter a couple of weeks ago saying that they were going to reuse my biometrics.

I just received a letter saying that they will reuse my biometrics. My status online has not changed (still on Fingerprint Fee Was Received)

Might be a stupid question, but how do you send the inquiry for the biometrics? I haven't received anything regarding my biometrics and it would be nice to see if I can get some info on that...

I filed in TX too and haven't received any information about biometrics either. I actually got an email yesterday:

There is a difference between rejecting a form of work permit and asking for a valid work permit. 

 

And filing documents with the uscis isn't enough to prove or grant a legal status. The uscis still have to provide a document testifying that the Alien is legal or authorized to work, that's why applicants receive either a NOA1 or a stamp.

Without these proofs, I'm inviting you to dare travel outside the USA. I don't think the immigration officers at the airport would just easily let you back in because you simply filed a ROC, without them challenging you. That's the same for work too. 

That´s what I thought. But someone said that they aren't allowed to ask for immigration documents, that it's illegal... So I got confused.

Can't they ask for proof that you are legally authorized to work in the US? If your work permit expired, aren't they able to ask for new paperwork?

I sent it to Texas at the beginning of October. Received the letter at the end of October. About 3 weeks after sending the package. I sent a money order

The date that I put is the one that appears on the letter, although when I called USCIS they told me that they had sent it 10/5. My case has not been transferred to any other service center (my receipt starts with SRC) and I haven't received any notifications for biometrics. Actually, I just received an email from USCIS saying that there were no updates for my case. I can't wait for the day that I'm done dealing with USCIS lol
