Curlies got a reaction from aaron2020 in US Husband has no income
Thanks a lot for your answer!
He had a very good job a year and a half ago so I am guessing that we have to list his current income as 0 and send the two last tax return he filed

Why are you being so evasive with your answers? School age could be anywhere from 4 years old through 18.
People are trying to give you honest answers and you are being defensive. Being a conservative Christian not looking for handouts has zero to do with the fact that you took a child that is not yours here to live. In fact if the child gets ill or needs medical care(God Forbid)who do you think will pay for her medical care? Answer:US tax payers, that is a handout. If you decide to keep her here illegally after her B2 expires and enroll her in public schools, once again US tax payers are the ones who pay.
I am going to be honest in saying you are naive. This family is taking advantage of you and all you can do is comment on the motherly "bond" you have with a child you can't even communicate with, other than smiling. I find it very hard to believe you knew nothing about this plan prior to 5 minutes before boarding your flight. How did she get a B2? How can a young child get a visitor visa on her own? Did you even ask? Or did all you care about was your selfish desire to take this child to the US and play mommy for a while? You can't just take a child to the US and presume that you or your fiance can petition for her, neither of you are her parents, it doesn't matter if he is her so called guardian. If her father is here in the US legally he can petition for her, or your sister can. But I would imagine that because your sister never knew this child existed or has never met her that it would not be easy for her to petition for her considering that she is separated from her father and she will need to prove some sort of bona fide family relationship with the him.

"I am NOT looking for a handout, welfare, food stamp, Medicaid, Medicare, section 8 any of that. (*plus im a conservative christian liberal and know all about MARXISM*)"
LOL!!! i *love* VJ--sometimes this place has fresher plot lines than lame, overdone t.v. shows and movies.
i mean really, how can one ask a question seeking help on a message board but then be arrogant with those who are trying to help and provide some cold, hard realism to the situation--then attribute it to faith and politics all while not realizing that a loved one, who is supposed to have one's best interest at heart (i.e., a fiance) has put one between a rock and a hard place?
so you mean to tell me that this fiance had the whole scenario planned out, decided and staged and there's no alarms/bells/whistles going off about why he'd put her on the spot like that? no red flags a-waving about her being the last to know the plan and potentially being left to hold the bag in america for child trafficking if things go south? no paperwork was given to show that the kid was brought willingly and can get health care or school enrollment? what else will this man and his family spring once the knot has been tied? human nature is human nature, worldwide across time, continents and class. imho, the situation is not looking too good...

I know that you can only book medical once your interview is booked. you should contact the embassy by email. They answer pretty quickly by email: Parisconlv@state.gov

Curlies got a reaction from Kass_W in NOA2 approval thread - NON-FILIPINO AUGUST 2014 TSC FILERS
I'm just copying what I found on another thread. It might help you
"I went to www.dhl.com clicked Express then Tracking, then Track by Shipper's Reference, on this page you add your search info..You change the day and month to what you think your's might have left NVC

Curlies reacted to DavidsPrincess in I-134 Q11. I intend/do not intend to make specific contributions to the support of the person(s) named in item 3
I put N/A (K-1 visa process for permanent residence) .. Most other people on this site put the same, and it goes over fine. This form is sort of an "all-purpose" document, it's used for several kinds of visas. But I've heard of others putting "I intend to marry (so and so) within 90 days of their entry into the US" and that went over fine too.

Curlies reacted to Shauneg in Any word on I-129f if filed in August?
The problem is that you feel they aren't qualified to pep people up because they haven't waited as long as you ...."Please don't tell people to be patient. When you get to 7 months, feel free. Until then, no." What makes 7 months the magic number? Additionally no one forces you to come in a read the posts. This is a place for support and guidance including words of encouragement.

Please dont tell people what to do. Due to two deployments and a mandatory remote tour in Asia I have had to wait four years. When you get to 4 years, feel free. Until then, don't.

Excuse me? What else can we do other than to be patient? please enlighten me... Majority of us are stuck at Texas and I'm almost 4 months in, so I don't have to be 7 months in to encourage someone and tell them to hang on and be patient. We're all in the waiting game together, we're all going to be frustrated but at the end of the day there is nothing we can do to speed up the process so what other options do we have other than to sit and wait? I wasn't aware that saying "be patient" was a bad word

You are a Philippine filer!!! And I think you know that your case is expedited and thus an outlier. Don't give people false hope. TSC is on June right now and there are some lucky July filers who are getting approved. Haven't heard anything about August yet.

Curlies reacted to jonilui in AUGUST 2014 K-1 FILERS (TSC)
Well, the only problem is that the ones getting accepted are just applications from the Phillipines. As happy as I am for them, I honestly don't rely on their acceptances to give me an idea of when us regular folks will be receiving our NOA2s. They get expedited no matter what. So are we getting accepted? Not really...
