Looking at OP’s older posts it seems OP has naturalized, presumably sponsored one parent, then  enquired about i130s for the spouse and remaining children and is now pondering whether to try circumvent the normal process by tourist visas. ( Of course if family does not already have b visas, the question on the application about immediate family members residing in the US is likely to torpedo the applications anyway.)

On what basis did your father immigrate to the US, why did he not include his family?

    Do you have tourist visa's?

I became a citizen, and did consular processing for my father. I didn't include my brothers, because the wait time for them would be over 13 years. The plan was for my dad to move here, and then submit 1-130 applications for spouse (my mom) and kids (my brothers) through consular processing. Once he moves here, we would get him a re-entry permit and then he would return to Ukraine to join the family as they wait for visas. it will take 2-3 years, from what I understand

but then this lawyer suggested to do the whole adjustment of status thing while my family is here on tourist visas. It sounded too good to be too, I am so glad I asked for advice here

  2. Hi! Back story - my dad just got his green card and moved to the US, my mom and two brothers are in Ukraine

I talked to a lawyer and she said that my mom and two brothers can fly to the US on a tourist visa, stay here for a few months and then my dad would file I-130 + Adjustment of status for them. Since F2A visa is current, they don't have to go back to Ukraine and can settle down in the US while they are waiting or their green cards.

Does it seam accurate? Has anyone done I-485 on F2A category recently?

Hi Nelya - My field office is also San Fernando Valley. I see that our priorities date are very close to each other. Mine is May 26,2018. I am really hoping that we get an interview soon.

By the way when you log in, what does it say as to how much time remaining for the entire process? Mine says estimated time remaining to completion as 2 months. Also do you know of anyone else on this site with Date closer to us in LA areas Office?

Mine also says 2 months. @Tina and Johan is

    Hi  All,

I need some help in this forum please. I have applied for N400 Citizenship application. I am a Green card holder for over 5 years now. My Priority date is May 26th, 2018. My biometrics was reviewed back in June 2018. Since then there hasn't been any update. I have opened 3 separate investigations with USCIS but I keep getting this automated response noted below.  Can someone please let me know how soon I can expect an interview as this process seems painfully slow? Also it shows online that estimated completion time is 2 month.

"Your application information has been entered into the system which schedules applicants for interviews at their local Field Office. Interview appointments are scheduled as slots become available at the Field Office. "

Each field office has their own timeline, it all depends on where you live and how many cases they have to deal with. I am in the same stage of the process, waiting for the interview to be scheduled at San Fernando Valley Office in California. There is nothing you can do but wait

I did Case request for my I-751 today by officer on USCIS by phone...

I did the same, got the following reply via email "Recently, you contacted us about the status of your Form I-751, Petition to Remove Conditions on Residence, filed on May 22, 2017.  On May 23, 2018, you also filed a Form N-400, Application for Naturalization.  Our records indicate that your Form I-751 and Form N-400 are currently pending and will be adjudicated at the same time."

I also did a case request for my N400 and the email said that it's pending scheduling an interview.

Quick update on today's infopass in LA (Chatsworth office: SFV):  Husband and stepson got there about an hour early.  Then waited more than an hour after their scheduled appt times to be called back.  My stepson went first, which I thought was weird, since he's a minor.  Green card was confiscated; he got a I-551 stamp in his passport that's good until 1/27/2020.  Same with husband.  While there, he noticed that all the N-400 people were being called first and finishing very quickly.  He asked a woman when she filed for hers and she said, "January 2018."  (My husband filed in June 2018)

While with his officer, he asked about the progress on his case, since processing times are showing May 8th for the CSC, and his NOA1 is dated May 3rd.  She basically told him that the I-751 takes the longest: 22.5-41.5 months!  She was basing this on estimated processing times for "all field offices."  So NO HELP at all.  For now, we're satisfied with the outcome.  There won't be issues leaving or entering the US in April when we all go to Costa Rica!  But this wait is ridiculous.  Maybe before this stamp expires, he'll be a citizen.  Dare to dream...

Every time I see you post something I hope for good news, as our timelines and location are identical LOL

Since his case is outside processing times now, maybe try calling USCIS and ask to speak to Tier 2 officer to file a "service request" to look up what's causing the delay. Fingers crossed it creates some movement and the SFV office finally schedules his combo interview!

Just looked into making an infopass for our local office:

    San Fernando Valley Field Office
    19809 PRAIRIE STREET
    FIRST FLOOR
    Chatsworth, CA 91311

     Important office information

This office is not accepting walk-in requests or scheduling InfoPass appointments.  <---- WHAT?!?!?!

Call USCIS and they connect you with a scheduling team at SFV office

  8. Received the following update after I inquired through my congressman’s office!

Thank you for your inquiry regarding this constituent’s immigration matter. A review confirms your constituent’s Form I-751 application is currently pending alongside their Form N-400 application and will be processed simultaneously by their local field office at the time of the N-400 interview.

Their Form N-400 application is currently awaiting interview scheduling by the San Fernando Valley Field Office. Although the A-File is still physically located at the National Benefits Center (NBC), the scheduling of your constituent's interview is within the jurisdiction of the field office. Once the field office schedules this case for an interview, your constituent will receive an interview notice stating the date and time to appear for the scheduled interview. Once the interview is scheduled, the NBC will then forward the file to the field office.

Processing time information for the San Fernando Valley Field Office can be found on our website on the USCIS Processing Time Information page.

We hope the information provided is helpful. If we may be of assistance in the future, please let us know.

Fingers crossed I get an interview notice soon!! my due date is coming up and I am scared to miss the interview lol

Hi folks. My case was stuck for such a long time after I filed at CSC on 4/18/17

I got a mailpiece dated 12/20/18 that says they completed preliminary review lf the application and as part of standard processing my case was transferred to NBC Lees Summit MO.

I don’t know how to check proccessing times but my 18 month extension letter is expiring in Jan 2nd... and this is already a very long time of wait just to see that my case was transferred...

notes: I did apply for citizenship back in april 2018 but my field office is very backlogged (Oakland Park FL)...

Any ideas? Thanks in advance :)

I have a similar timeline, so I had to get I-551 stamp before my 18-month letter expires.
