Filling from my mum also next month.
 
Returning into the country with my US passport for the first time was an awesome experience as I don't have to go get cleared with the customs with my expired green card and i-551 stamp.
 
Also, I shredded all the huge files of evidences and letters from uscis early this week ... oooosh what a relief ... haha

I was just waiting, i checked at 8am and nothing and check again at 3pm and there it was lol. and did not change anything. I can't wait for the document to show on the online tab. Last night I updated my tax return transcript for 2018. Regardless I'm ready if they want me to go tomorrow! lol

I got my  scheduled my interview yesterday and I filed 1/1/19... I'm guessing your application date is 12/31/18 not 19 lol.

The wait is killing me.

I got my oath done on the 29th and was less than an hour with 1000 people from 98 countries.

Got same day passport and traveled out of the country ...  got back in yesterday (feels good to check-in as a citizen for the first time as it has less hassle  ).

Wow Dec 28th? That’s great news that Dallas is now improving on their timeline ... your letter should appear in your online account in 24 hours (got mine under 24 hours).

i had my combo interview yesterday at atlanta field office. arrived at 7:30 Am for 7:55 Appt time and the IO called me and my wife at 8:10 AM. he was very nice and genuine. when i told him about the combo interview, at first he couldnt find the i 751 file even though it was on his desk. then he went to his supervisor to ask him if he could conduct them both and he said ok, so he called my wife to his office from the waiting room and asked us basic questions like how did we meet, what are our birthdays, phone numbers. overall it was a very pleasant experience. then he moved to the n 400 test and my wife was in the office while took the test. after i passed everything he said he couldnt approve it on the spot but he will approve it by the end of the week. i woke up this morning to an email from uscis that my 10year green card was ordered for production. i applied for 751 in dec 2017 and n400 in dec 2018

It will probably be a nearly 2 year wait, so you are looking at sometimes this December, but nobody can really say how long it is going to take. You just need to be patient. Especially under Trump administration, everything has slowed down since he took office. Also, very importantly, 751 transfer notice is most likely meaningless. My case was transferred to a new office after my 751 was approved and after the approval letter was sent to me.
Transfer notice means really nothing and it is not true that your case was transferred. I got a notification of transfer after my 751 was approved. Guys, for those of you who got this transfer notice, do not look too deep into it, it doesn't mean your case was transferred, it is most likely a system update, and my situation proved it. My case changed from approval to pending. And I wasn't the only one. I would ignore this transfer notice because it is not true. Transfer notice is probably a way for USCIS to let applicants falsely think their cases are moving forward. For many 751/400 combo applicants, their cases usually get merged and sent to local field office, they don't transfer it to NBC, too many applicants who got approved probably can attest that. The real update is unfortunately the approval or when you case status says your name is updated, that usually means your case is being adjudicated for real. Good luck to you all 

Guys, just want to put your mind to rest about this "Your case has been transferred to NBC" notification. With my own experience, I was naturalized last May 23rd, and 751 was approved last April.  My case status for my 751 still says pending and a new office has the jurisdiction of my case! The status of it changed from approval to pending last April. I would take this transfer notice with a grain of salt without getting your hopes up because it is probably not true that your case has been transferred to NBC. Combo pending applicants always get adjudicated at field offices, the 751 doesn't get transferred separately to NBC Missouri. Patience is unfortunately the only way to deal with this excruciatingly long process. Been there before myself, so just sit tight and wait, the reward will be there for you eventually in nearly 2 years since you filed. It also depends on your field office and what state you live or what processing center you filed. I believe that is the average processing time for 751, but for the combo pending applicants, their 400 usually get adjudicated right after 751 is approved or they get approved at the same time. got the oath letter yesterday and i’m having my oath on the 29th.  
 
also about applying for a passport at the naturalization ceremony, what documents do I need to bring/submit? and do you all know how long does it take for the passport to arrive? And I heard about an expedited option.. how much it is and how long does it take do y’all know? is it recommended?

Abeg no just worry yourself at all.. GOD don do am for you.   Same thing happened to me. Yes, you will get the new card in the mail. You need to take ALL the cards you ever received from USCIS. I took even up to my EAD card as well. What they would do (Well that is what happened in my case)  is that they put holes in ALL the cards I came with (I think i had 3 cards) and would staple ALL of them to a document indicating you received your  Naturalization certificate and would slide it into the sleeve of the folder they pulled out your certificate from before handing it to you.

Not sure but if you dont have the card by then, print out the notification that says the other one is on its way and take it that day. If you have both, just take both. It would not hurt to do so.

FYI: USCIS Dallas working to seriously reduce backlogs. No more oath ceremonies at the field office as the swearing in space will now be converted to office cubicles to accommodate the additional officers being expected. Swearing in ceremonies will now take place at Plano convention center henceforth. Their goal is to have 42 officers against the current 22 or so officers adjudicating cases every day. For people with pending application, be prepared as you may be called in for interviews sooner than the current processing times. Don't wait until the last minute to start putting yourselves together
