Well, I have a flight for May 12 Th to go visit my husband will be gone for 1 1/2 to 2 months I'm so happy but already wondering how not to cry at the airport since my husband wont like it. I might have to bite my tongue off so the physical pain is greater than my emotional one at least I hope. I can just see myself if it doesn't work blood and tears all over the place splattering on everyone hahahahahahaa Sawwweeeeeeee.

I agree 250%! I just had a heated discussion with the aid from my congresspersons office a couple of weeks ago about this very topic! He actually had the nerve to tell me that what happens at the interview is the responsibility of the beneficiary, and that if he gets denied because he answers wrong from being nervous, that is not my problem, and therefore should be none of my concern.
Can you beleive this sh*t?! Un freaking real!!! Needless to say, I have been bombarding the email of the congresspeople demanding a meeting to discuss these issues and I told them I will not stop until I am given a meeting or they lose their seat in office. I let them know I that while I have voted for them in the past, without a meeting, they will lose my vote, along with the votes of my family, friends, neighbors, coworkers, and those that know me in the community as I will be sure to let everyone know they cannot rely on this congressperson to protect fight for them when it's really needed.
I have it set in my head! I will not stop until I find someone that will listed to me and agree to be my political voice! While I am slightly shy about my passionate writing, if anyone wants a sample letter to send to their senators and congresspeople, please let me know, I'd be more than happy to share it.

What makes me so mad about all this is why should you or any of you be nervous and scared when you know your marriage and relationships are real, legit and above board!! Just makes me made when I see good people like all you all nervous and worried and why are we worried because we have to be judged YES judged by some human emotion Its a crying shame .

Really frustrating isnt it! The main thing is, if her father is so sick, then the CR1 she will have extra time to stay living there with him, and upon approval would get a green card and thus be able to travel back to her home for a visit anytime. With the K1 if she is approved, comes to the US, and then quickly needs to return home, she would not able to able to do so. It takes a few months after filing for adjustment of status to receive the EAD/AP.

Is he moderate or is he extremely religious, because he can't be both? He couldn't stand on a balcony with you because he is so religious yet he had a girlfriend before? There is no dating in conservative Islam.

Oh, I know I am grabbing a dog by his ears here, but I concur with hsgx2. (Proverbs 26:17) I am not saying that your guy is a passive Muslim or that he is lying to you, but you do want to take her advice a little more softly. There is nothing wrong with thinking of protecting yourself and in our case, discussing such matters has brought us closer together. For example we discussed, "Hey, how do you know I'm not..." This conversation wasn't just about him being a criminal or just having ill intentions, but even how he knows he can trust me and that I don't have immoral qualities in my lifestyle. He even had a friend counsel him on the same thing. "Hey man, how do you know she's not CIA? How do you know she's not going to bring you to America just to kill you?" So it's not just a one-way conversation.
But the reason why I agree with hsgx2 is because if my guy was saying that his opinion of Islam was low without logical explanation or his opinion was the polar opposite and he was expecting me to convert, then I would be suspicious. While I won't go into details of our conversations on this topic, based on my research, you need to be at least aware of these possibilities that hsgx2 brings up. Then that way, you can consider what you would do if different situations came up. You aren't showing a lack of love or faith in your future marriage, you aren't casting doubt on his intentions, you are preparing yourself on how to act the best way "for better or worse"!

You don't seem to know much about Islam, but for your sake, I hope your guy is what he says he is. Good luck.
