I have called NVC several times in the last couple of weeks trying to find out if they have received our expedite request for the new issue yet. I sent it the first time 12/28 and sent it for the 4th time on 01/30. For some reason, they still have not received our emails at NVCexpedite. Anyway, every time I call, I inquire about Cairo interviews even though we are still impatiently waiting for our CC. Everyone I have talked to said as far as they know, NVC starts scheduling interviews for all consulates the 1st of the month and typically wraps up around the 15th of the month. They never give anything specific about Cairo. It's hard to say what is going on over there, the interview schedule on the embassy website has been down for almost 2 weeks now.
Also, I would like just like to say, the rep Arthur really is terribly rude. I have never wanted to swear at someone so much in my life, like I did with him this morning! Ugh!

I don't know... I'm at day 55. I keep checking and still nothing. Now I am starting to worry... I know my AOS is fine, and I triple checked my civil docs against the cover sheet, along with having family members triple check everything for me, but that doesn't mean anything because we all know how often NVC loses docs. Panic mode is setting in! Seeing someone with a 12/30 initial scan date get CC a few days ago makes the anxiety even worse. The trend I have noticed, the closer to the 60 days, the higher the probability of getting a check list. Ugh!

I am so glad you were able to get her! She is very nice, unlike Ike, the male supervisor in the evenings. I'm hoping I can get her tomorrow when I call, she has been helping me as well.

There is a really nice supervisor named Mari that typically works until 3:00 PM EST. You could try asking for her.

stop acting like a victim here , you should be a man enough to fix your marriage instead of wining like lil baby , take care of your woman like you do in your home country .

I don't think being insecure, and possibly in need of help with her mental health makes her "crazy"
Obviously there is a lot of underlying issues here. She has been cheated on in the past. By your own admission you're a good looking fellow worthy of this attention, and sometimes you like to check other women out in return. Her fears are not one hundred percent unfounded. Once a seed of doubt has been planted, a mind with mental health issues can take that seed and multiply it into a very scary pit of anxiety, incorrect assumptions and fear of abandonment.
You say you love her, so help her. You need to sit down and have a frank conversation about all the issues you have outlined, and emphasise that both individual and couples counselling may help her. If conversations of these nature tend to get heated, write her a letter instead and be there for her whilst she reads it.
Visa journey will not provide you with the answers you need because we are all individuals here and every single one of us would handle this situation slightly, or even very, differently to one and other. You need to seek professional help, not hope that someone you've never met will provide you with a magic solution on an internet forum.
I am not trying to justify or defend her behaviour, obviously this is not a healthy way for the relationship to continue, but I urge you to at least try and deal with these issues, if you do indeed love her. If you have had enough, of course divorce is an option, but your mention of love gives me hope for you both.
Good luck whatever you decide. Please do not be too harsh, sometimes our own minds can be our worst enemy. It certainly sounds like this is the case for your wife.

Some spontaneous "I love you's" and "you are beautiful" and "you are the love of my life" might help. Try working out at home. She sounds insecure. Are other women trying to flirt with you?

Please do not listen to people that tell you to leave your wife. You married her and no one twisted your arm. Your only biblical reason for divorce is death, secondly adultery. As so many have said....work it out, even if you have stopped loving her ask God to heal your marriage and pray more than ever before. Talk things through with her. None of us should tell you to leave her. There is always 3 sides to a story.

Is there a big age difference? Is she attractive? Do you include her in your plans? Are you affectionate, transparent and loving with her? There has to more to it. Are you flexing in the gym all day or do you work and spend time with your wife most times? There has to be some underlying issued behind her behavior.

It sounds to me more like she has self confidence issues. Jealous behavior usually has more to do with the jealous person's own low self esteem than anything to do with the other person. Counseling has its place, but don't miss the first step of talking to each other. Try find out what it is that is making her feel so uncomfortable - I mean the real reason, not the symptoms. Always remember thought, working through issues like this take time. It's a process, not an event. I sincerely wish you all the best.

Perhaps changing your gym is in order. If she is uncomfortable and jealous then if you care about her it would be helpful to work through it with her. Jealousy is very hard to deal with. But it sound like she is feeling insecure and would like some reassurance from you even though she isn't using those words.

Nevermind! I went back and read it again. Paying the fee increase difference only applies to the non-immigrant visas. Thank goodness!

Ok great hahahahahahahaaa they never cease to amaze me hahahaaa When they fix things it only gets worse, you don't even see this in a really bad movie!

I called them this morning promptly at 7 AM eastern time. I can say, the only difference I noticed was they now have a prompt for non-immigrant visa's. Also had a 35 minute wait instead of the typical 15-20 minute wait when calling first thing in the morning.

And thats not dumb..I used to be the same way whenever I saw good news from someone in Cairo and got hope. I still need to put the interview review but been busy, hopefully i post it today or tomorrow. For me reading the interview reviews helped alot but there not so many current ones from Cairo so I wanna make sure I share that with my fellow Egyptian filers. Congratulations!!! I cannot tell you how happy I am for you! Alhamdulillah! Now we just need to get Soloenta and her husband through their interview.
I know this is so stupid, but every time someone makes it through Cairo, it helps me to breathe a little easier.

THANK U MY FRIEND!!! U & everyone's prayers helped and my husband got his visa!!!! They told him he will get his visa in 1 week!! The interview was straightforward and the COs were nice.
